You don't have to sell a course right away if you're still trying to figure out your voice and what you're doing. Create a little freemium. Hey, let me teach you how to do this one skill very quickly. Help them. Your job in the beginning is not to sell to people. Your job is to serve people and to help them get wins. Because if you help people win and you're already collecting their emails once you make a course, now you have people you can actually market to and make sales. I did this. I made the mistake. I made a course. I didn't have a mailing list so who was I going to sell it to? Hey, I got a course. You want to buy it? So from the get go, start collecting those emails. Make sure you have a website with an opt in page. Build that foundational content on YouTube and offer something for free that's going to help people.
