Hey, everybody, welcome back. I'm doing a play along video here. This is not an actual video lesson where I teach you how to play this particular song. I will put a link below this video so that you can find the video lesson. But this is more of a play along. That's what this series is. It's so that you can play along to a song with me from the beginning to the end. You know, most lesson videos online, they show you how to play the songs. Just like in my lesson video. I show you how to play it, but I don't play it through with you from the beginning to end. And a lot of people, especially my students, always find it helpful when they get to play along with me. Because this way, if you make a mistake, you know where to jump back in or maybe you can catch up with me. So super helpful. So if you're an absolute beginner, first, I would recommend going to my website, laurenbatement.com getting and printing out the cord sheet for this so that you can follow along with me. And I would keep it simple if you're a beginner. So we're talking about, hey, if you can only do down strums, just do down strums. That's all I'm caring about. If you're super beginner and your chord changes aren't quite quick enough, most of these chords looks like all these chords are one or two measures long, which is great. You can stay on the chords for a long time. But say your chord change is not that quick. Give me two strums per chord.
While I'm running down the road trying to loosen my load I get sick.
Seven women on my mind Maybe you're just hitting the chord once. Whatever works for you. So we're just going to jump right into this and I'm going to play the first time through a little bit slower, second time through much faster and up to speed. With me probably playing and doing embellishments and whatever the heck I want to do when I play these songs without thinking about it. And that's eventually what we want to happen with you as a guitar player. We want to get you to the point where like, your hand just starts doing stuff. You know, I get students in lessons and they'll hear me play a song, they'll be like, what did you do? And I'm like, I don't know. It just. It just happened. Then I have to go back and think about what I did. So most of the song, the strumming pattern is going to be 1, 2 and 3 and 4. And 1, 2 and 3 and 4. And so it's down, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, down, up, down, up, down, up. So let's take it from the intro. Now if you listen to the actual song, we've kind of got like a little.
It's kind of got like this little scoopy thing. We're not doing that. We're just gonna jump into the intro. Just doing some simple strumming patterns here. So we got intro. I'm gonna start off really slow. 1, 2, 3, 4.
That.
Do that again.
So we got 1, 2, 3, 4.

And there you go. Beginning to end. That was the slower pace. So let's pick up speed a little bit. And I might do some crazy things with the strumming. Don't worry about keeping up with me or what I'm doing. I'm just going for it. So the goal is for you to go for it and play it at your skill level. So take it from the intro. 1, 2, 3, 4.
When I'm running down the road trying to loosen my lord I can tell I'm leaving all my.
