This is what I would consider the perfect practice routine for any guitar player or even any musician. Alright, so if you're on guitar, spend five minutes working on hand dexterity exercises. The biggest problem my students have is they just can't get their fingers moving. So five minutes getting the hands moving. A spider exercise Working on chord changes. Number two, spend five minutes working on strumming and timing. Okay, Strumming is very important. When you put a chord progression with the strumming pattern together, guess what? You have a song. And lastly, work on your picking technique. So many people focus on the fret hand and you know they work on the strumming hand but then they hate the picking. Make sure you're working on exercises that focus on getting to know the strings of your guitar where they're located in different picking technique. If you could put all three of those things together, you're going to be a phenomenal guitar player.
