Lauren Bateman left a comfortable job to help more people engage with music on their own terms, whether they're playing virtuosic solos or simple chord strumming. She wanted work that let her reach and help more people.
That was a fear of mine. Walking away from something that you're comfortable with. Like, I know you don't agree with me on this, but I need to do this. This is going to help me reach more people. This is going to help me help more people do something that I firmly believe, which is that, like, everyone should be able to experience music in their own special way. Not the way I want them to experience music, the way they want to experience music. Because for some people, you know, that's playing a crazy guitar solo, and for some people, it's just strumming some chords.
