You have to practice for hours to be good at the guitar, right? Wrong. You can spend as little as 15 minutes a day and continually see progress on your guitar. The difference is it has to be really focused practice. So I teach my students in the beginning, focus five minutes on the three fundamentals, focus on learning chords, learning different rhythm and strumming patterns, and then focus on hand dexterity. I work with a lot of older adults, so we need to focus a lot on getting our fingers moving fast. I guarantee if you spend 15 minutes a day sitting down with your guitar, you will see continual progress over time and you will be a much better guitar player one year from now than you are today.
