A short YouTube #shorts by Lauren Bateman delivering motivational advice to fully commit to decisions and find a support system. She urges people to "go all in" on chosen roles (examples: beauty/makeup artist, guitarist), and cites her own transition from scientist to musician and guitar teacher as evidence that owning a role builds confidence and credibility for helping others.
If you're gonna make a decision, own it. Find that support system. If you need that extra push, find the people who are gonna help you give you that push. But if you're gonna do something, don't go halfway and go all in. Like, go in, own it. You know, if you're gonna represent this, whatever. If you're a beauty and makeup artist, like, go in. Own it. Even if you never went to school for makeup and beauty, like, own it. Like, I own that. I'm a guitarist and a guitar teacher. Obviously, I've been doing it for years now, so that helped built the confidence. But I had to step in to what I wanted to do, and that was going from being a scientist to being a musician. And I had to own that if I was going to sell other people that I could help them.
