I'm going to share with you one of the best phrases I heard about guitars from a friend of mine. His name's Paul Tudoroff, and he says you have to embrace the suck. Yes, you do. You have to embrace the suck. Because, listen, if you're just getting started, you're a beginner, you're learning, you probably suck. All right? The guitar is not going to sound the way you want it to. Probably doesn't sound, you know, like the Eagles because they have five guitar players. But you are learning. And understand that part of the learning process is failing, is making mistakes. And that's how we learn. We learn by doing. We learn by doing things incorrectly. Because if we don't do things incorrectly, we don't know what's wrong, and then we have nothing to fix. So don't be afraid that the chords sound muted. Almost everyone's chords sound muted. It's something that comes with time. And I promise you, one day you're gonna wake up, you're gonna play that D chord, it's gonna sound perfect. And you're not gonna know what you did or why it happened. Just know that with experience, you are going to sound better. So if you're just getting started, and you stink.
