Foreign's a work in progress, you know.
If you get to the end goal.
I mean, like, this is serious. Like, ceilings become floors. So once you get to there, it becomes a new floor and you want to get the next thing right. Like, I bought a BMW, right? And I never thought I'd drive one, right? And then now I have it. It's like, dude, I want to get a new BMW or a new Mercedes.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
Or.
And then someone is able to buy one, a new one every year, and then they're like, oh, dude, why don't I have a boat? And it's kind of like, okay, if you become satisfied at a certain point, you're gonna, you know, be unhappy, but you got to keep on progressing and you got to enjoy those ceilings becoming floors, you know, because life is a work in progress, not about the result. No, honestly, there's a Red Hot Chili Peppers lyric. The more I see, the less I know. So it just becomes very like, you know, like you think you know all about making a back end server and then all of a sudden someone's like, okay, what about like handling traffic? What about like load balancing and all this kind of stuff? And you're like, oh, dude, I don't know anything about that. After a certain point, there's a base level of knowledge of what everyone should know, right? Everyone should know a basis of Docker. Everyone should know a basis of, of like making a server front end. But then it's like choosing your poison and which path you're going to take, you know what I mean? But choose which one you want to go down and enjoy the results that it's going to give you. Whatever path you got to be like, okay, I'm going to become good at this. At the end of like three months, you'll see like, okay, I understand a little bit more. So, you know, everyone knows I like started programming like at 29 or 30 and I became a senior developer. If you're having struggles or you're. You want to share like your progress, you know, because you know it's not about the result. Because once you feel like you're at the result, you're a walking zombie. So you always got to be like, working for something. So share a story about like something you're learning or something you're progressing through. And you know, we reply to all the comments. I read all the comments personally and they boost me up, you know, so leave a comment, I'll reply. Let's get a conversation started there and comment like, or Share.
And then I looked it up on YouTube and I was like, wait, what is going on with the martial law thing?
Oh yeah, it's crazy. I don't know. Like, I think, okay, so this is what I think. So, so there's the parliament or like.
You know how government, there's the president.
And then there's the Senate and there's the congress and stuff like that. But there's a parliament in Korea. There's the parliament and basically the oppos, opposite party from the president almost fills the whole parliament. Maybe it's like three fourths.
Right?
I don't know too much about this, so I cannot post this because I might be wrong. But so this is my thing. Like I feel like the president is kind of like he's about to get impeached or like people his, his approval rating is like in the 20s, right? So. So I think he knows that he's on his way out and he's using the argument like, dude, I fucking hate North Korea.
All the people in the parliament are North Korean spies. We have to make sure that we.
Don'T listen to them. I'm going to declare martial because I don't trust any of these people because they keep voting my guys out. Right. I'll just tell you one more funny thing. I remember in 2018 there was some.
Like get rich scheme that Psy went on to like a talk show and.
He like talked about it and they.
Said that you can sell, they're selling.
On their platform, little ad spaces. Do you remember this?
No, I don't.
So I dropped in like a thousand dollars into it. Dude, the first day I put a bunch of like, I chose like the ones that they like suggested me and.
It went up like to $2,000. And then I was starting to think.
Like it was summertime.
So I was like, okay, I'm gon.
Put all the ads into travel bags. Money was gone the next day.
You learned your lesson.
Yeah, yeah. This is the LEOPA website. You just need to add some stuff. We're going to add testimonials here. We're dedicated to helping you level up your personal professional journey. YouTube channel, Discord community, one on one mentorship, community events. We have those links here. We need to put some more stuff in the header. We need to contact us stuff and email listing.
Email listing.
And it should be done.
Parting words for YouTube.
Let's see. Coding saves life.
Oh, coding saves life.
Hello Min and come over to the Discord. It's amazing.
There you go.
Thank you.
Thank you all Right. So this is my mentee. I've been with her for like four months and she's learned a lot, but she still does have a lot of learning to do. But you'll get better than me. Kind of jealous, but Korea is super safe because even like left my wallet on my top of my car one time because I was like hectic with my kid and drove off. A couple days later, the police station called me and they're like, someone returned your wallet and it had the 50 still in there. Dude, you know, everyone always thinks like, you know, once it becomes New Year's or whatever, they want to like make new resolutions and like start. Then I think that's stupid, like the time is like to start now, you know, because even at the gyms, like the gym owners, I'm sure it's hell for the workers during January and February, but once March comes around, dude, everyone that paid for a six month membership or a one year membership, they're not going anymore. They're giving their money to the gym for no reason. You know, honestly, like, the time is now. Like, you can't wait. Like, honestly, New Year's is just another day, dude comes up, the sun comes up. Like the sun goes down. It's just the same shit, different toilet. Why can't tomorrow be the day or even today be the day that you start your new coding journey, or your workout journey, or weight loss journey, or your whatever you want to learn skill journey journey. You know, just New Year's is the same day as December 4, 2024. The days that you wait for things to start, you lose that many days to get that much better at something, you know what I mean? Like, you remember when I first got laid off, right? And dude, I gained like 50 pounds since COVID And I always told myself, I told myself this exact trap. I said, I'll lose the weight, you know, once, you know, it's the new year or whatever. But that wasn't it, dog. I was just giving my myself an excuse to kind of do something later. And honestly, like, it wasn't even that hard losing the weight, you know, like, not that I lost all 50 pounds because I think I was young and my metabolism was still good, but now I got the dad bod, dude. But like I thought, I think I lost like £25 in like a month. And I just started that day or whatever.
Yeah.
So, you know, by New Year's, like, I'm not in the mode to really lose weight. I'm more in the mode to like main what I've built. I'm not scrambling to fit pieces in or slide things into place. Like as 2025 happens, I'm there to kind of maintain and keep things in place. 2025 and like definitely like when I was young, I used to make like a huge deal out of New Year's, you know, like a huge deal. We used to go to Pier 39 every New Year's. My friends like, like my best friend since I was young. I don't know, one of their friends said like, how you spend New Year's is how you spend the rest of the year, you know, so we always try to like be around a lot of friends, be at a party or whatever, spend it just happy in general, you know. But in the end maybe like when I'm young, I feel that way with like now that I'm like a little bit older and wiser, another day is just another day. How I spend today, it might, you know, it could change from the next day, but usually the days you spend are still like going to be the, you know, the maintainable days, you know, like there are days to celebrate and party, but it's more about like maintenance and it's a marathon, you know, it's not a sprint. That goes with coding or learning any skill. Sure. Like maybe your New Year's resolution is to lose weight or gain muscle or learn coding. Right. Or you know, change your career. You're giving yourself the excuse, okay, once it hits 20, 25, I'll do that. You know what I'm saying? But actually, even if you have an eight hour a day job, you have a full time job, you have like, I don't know, you can sacrifice like an hour of sleep or something to kind of like get an hour of studying done and you can start now, you know what I mean? Your New Year's is going to be no different than your position. Time is now. And it's not really about like waiting for this fake energy, you know, this energy that you get from this weird day that's just another day. But it's more about these mentality changes or these lifestyle changes that'll actually change your life in the end, you know? So we're on our way to the gym. We're gonna park the car at the parking garage, we're gonna walk to the gym. I'm gonna do a little bit of stretching, get some jump roping in, do some shadow boxing. Then I'm gonna hit, hit the bag heading, it's mini. And then, and then maybe I'm gonna spar mini a little. I'm gonna tell him to wear the bodysuit. I'm gonna punch his bag. I'm gonna punch his body a little bit, and then maybe I'll do some stretching and take like an hour. I gotta do some shoulder stability stuff.
Did you do anything, like, any tournament right now?
Oh, yeah, dude, I did. I have my pro boxing license. I did some tournaments, I did some fights. Yeah. I mean, I was, like, never anything special. I thought I was going to be like. Like a real boxer. Yeah. But I got injured, you know, Got shoulder surgery. I got dislocated shoulders. That's when I started poding. Dude. You think.
You think you can be a mentor in boxing, dude?
Hell yeah, dude.
When you start your windloss journey.
July. But I think I have a strong mind. If I want something, I get it, you know? Mind control.
How can someone train their mind? Put yourself through some stress and fight through it.
For today, coding saves lives.
