This is Five Minute Friday. My friend, I'm so glad that you're here. And I know that there's a lot of chaos, uncertainty, and overwhelm in the world right now. And you might be feeling some of that. I'm feeling a little bit of that, to be honest. There's different moments where I feel like you gotta have everything put together. I got to make sure the business is running and growing and you got to make sure that I'm spending time with my girlfriend and doing this and checking into my friends and make sure my family's okay. It's like this constant check in, check in and make sure everything is okay. And here's what I got to say about that. You got to give yourself a break on certain things and really start creating better routines for yourself to be okay with uncertainty. Because I'm telling you right now, the next six months, the next year is going to be a little bit chaotic in your life if you don't do something about it right now. It's going to continue to be uncertain, stressful and overwhelming because people are going to be freaking out around you. The news is going to be freaking out. The political system is freaking out. The social system is freaking out. People are just in chaotic mindset and therefore it's going to bounce off you. Things are going to hit you a little bit here and there. You're going to see something is going to trigger you in some way, shape or form. so what can you do about it to set yourself up for greatness? What can you do about it to not be a part of the problem, but be a solution and ripple positivity around the people that you're seeing every single day with the content you're putting out there with your energy because your energy has the ability to change people's lives and it also has the ability to create more stress, uncertainty and overwhelm. Think about it. When you come up to a friend and you say, I just don't know what's going on and I'm stressed and I'm worried and I'm frustrated and I'm going to lose my job. I'm going through divorce, you create a negative energetic field that eventually is going to tap into them and eventually going to affect them in some way, shape or form. Just them hearing your stress will affect them. But here's what you can do to change that and to defend yourself against all the other stress that's coming your way because it's going to keep coming. What you need to do is do what we've been doing as a team, which is creating clear wellness goals for yourself. Every week we've been doing a wellness goal because it's been so much happening in the world. We think about what can we do with ourselves every single day that we can commit to, whether it's small or big, it doesn't matter, but something that we want to do that's going to help us feel better. You know, some people are committing to running 20 miles a week. Other people are doing a hundred pushups a day. Some people are saying, I'm just going to go for a 30 minute walk. Whatever it is for you, you've got to find a wellness lifestyle. What do you want to challenge yourself or call it a lifestyle? It doesn't matter, but you've got to figure out a wellness challenge where you can stay true to it 100%. And I want to talk about the power of staying accountable to ourselves and the importance of following through on commitments that you make to yourself, because if you don't make these commitments, you'll ultimately end up losing confidence in yourself. and what I mean by keeping your word to yourself and keeping your commitments to yourself, we break and make promises every single day. We make promises that we're gonna get up at a certain time, that we're gonna make our bed, that we're gonna eat a certain way, that we're not gonna eat the sugar, that we're gonna drink more water, that we're not gonna react when something negative happens. We make promises to ourselves every day, and most of the time we break them. Here's the thing, every time you break a promise to yourself, you lose confidence within yourself. You lose worthiness that you are worthy of achieving, of creating, of attracting what you want in all the areas of your life. When you break a promise, I don't care how small or big, your confidence goes down, your self-doubt goes up. You continue to doubt yourself and that builds over time and that hurts your immune system, that hurts your beliefs about yourself in the world, and that energy will show up when you meet other people. I don't care if it's on Zoom, FaceTime, on the phone, doesn't matter. If you're seeing other people and interacting with people, they will feel it. You know, when you go to a restaurant or you go to work or you walk down the street and there's someone just has this positive energy and you're like, man, everything seems to be going well for them. What is that energy where I've got stress and problems? They have this positive energy. I'm telling you, they have kept their promises to themselves. They've followed through on their commitments and they feel better about themselves. They're more proud. When you're proud of yourself, you're going to have your shoulders up back higher, you're going to be looking up, you're not going to be looking down at the ground, you are going to feel more confident. And a couple of things you can do to keep your personal commitments. One, check in with yourself every single night. Did I keep my commitments? And track it, you know, just whether one to 10 assessment or a checklist assessment, but journaling and tracking your goals. at night to make sure you did it will make you feel that much more proud going to sleep. Number two is a buddy system. So in our team, we haven't all been keeping our commitments 100%. We're about 90%. We'll miss a day off here and there of something we committed to doing as a team individually. Right. But the people who are actually following through on everything they committed to in their Wellness challenge, they had a buddy system. they were accountable to each other. We just said what we're gonna do with the group and most of the people that did that were 90% of the way there. But the people on my team who said, okay, here's what I'm gonna do with the group, I'm committed to running every single day, and then they checked in with someone as a buddy at the end of the day to make sure they did it. You never wanna let down a friend of yours or an accountability partner. So create a buddy system in your life. Create an accountability partner. I don't care if it's a friend, someone online, it does not matter. The third thing I would say is pay for it. I'm telling you, when you pay for a coach, you invest in yourself and you pay attention to what you pay for. If you're not paying for something or if there's no cost to not accomplishing it, you might have to pay a price by not accomplishing it, then it's not going to be top of mind. Pay attention to what you pay for, schedule it, in the beginning of the day, what you're committed to, journal it at the end of the day if you accomplished it, and have that accountability system in place. I hope this helps you with your wellness lifestyle challenge because I'm telling you, when you set that up in your life, when you do 30 to 60 minutes of something for yourself, something to improve your well-being, your health, your emotional well-being, and you move your body and you sweat and you experience some type of physical exertion, you are prouder of yourself than if you did nothing. I can tell you that. If you do nothing and then you eat all the sugar and cake and don't drink water and you're drinking soda all day, you're not gonna be proud of yourself at the end of the day. But when you do something challenging, even if you say, I'm gonna do this and you follow through, it builds belief, it builds confidence, and that's what you're gonna need here on moving forward with all the chaos in the world right now, you don't need to doubt yourself more because there's already gonna be enough of that coming your way. you need to build bulletproof confidence and it starts with keeping the commitments you make to yourself.
