Hey, everyone, this is Luis Barajas. If you or one of your family members or you know someone who may be deported, there are things that you can do right away to at least protect your assets in the United States. At least they have somebody manage those well, because you won't be able to do it in another country. And that is a durable power of attorney. Okay? That is a document that allows that you prepare and you give the right for someone in the United States and to handle your finances while you are not here. Right. The durable power attorney will allow you to do that, will allow someone to do that for you, even if you're here and incapacitated. But that's something that should be done yesterday. I've been telling people for the longest time that they should get an estate plan done. An estate plan done includes a will, a trust, a durable power attorney, advanced healthcare directive, a nomination of guardian. That's something that needs to get done. But right now, if you're in danger or threatening of being deported and you have assets in the United States under a checking account, savings account, retirement account, have a house, whatever, other type of investments, you should go tomorrow to a paralegal service, go online, you can get them done at a minimal cost, and get a durable power of attorney completed. Now, I am not an attorney. I'm not giving you legal advice, but I'm sharing with you that this is something that needs to get done right away to protect your assets as we go through the week here and see what's going on throughout the country. And all the ICE raids and people scared out of their mind as to maybe they're going to be deported and not and lose all the years of credit they've had that they've been paying in taxes into Social Security, we'll find out what can happen with that as well. But please send me questions@infouisbarajas.com and that way I can get them out on social media and answer them for you as quickly as possible. We're here to make sure that the Latino community preserves their wealth and creates intergenerational wealth and not the poverty that we're seeing right now. Please be proactive. Don't have the manana syndrome. Take care of things that you need to take care of and right away. So if you're listening to me and you have a tio, a tia huelita, Huelita, cousin primo, whatever, and they're in that situation, pass this information on to them. Thank you.
