All right, I'm going to pick on the guys here for a minute because I'm a guy, and sometimes our biggest investment problem isn't the stock market, it's our ego. All right, guys, I'm talking to myself here too. I've had to fight this my whole life. A lot of us were raised to believe we were supposed to have all the answers. We were supposed to be the provider, we were supposed to be the protector, we were supposed to know. So what happens? So we start believing we can outsmart millions of investors around the world. So we think that I know when the market's gonna crash. I know when the market's gonna recover. I know which stock's gonna take off. I know when to get into the stock market. I know when to get out. Really? Really? You're telling me you're smarter than millions of investors, economists, analysts, hedge funds, pension funds, computers, and people who spend every waking hour studying the markets? That's not investing, that's ego wearing a business suit. And one of the hardest lessons I've learned, and this is my career, is that the market doesn't care how smart you are. It rewards discipline a lot more than intelligence. The wealthiest clients I've worked with weren't the ones trying to beat the market every week. They were the ones humble enough to admit that they couldn't predict it, so they built a plan, they stayed diversified, and let time do all the heavy lifting. Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is say, you know, I don't know, because when your ego gets smaller, your wealth often gets bigger. Now follow me for more conversations about money, life, and building real wealth with purpose. And if you want to build a strong financial foundation for yourself and your family, check out my new book.
