It's been a pretty rough year for Latinos in the U.S. I guess that may be an understatement. And now our community is facing something seriously uncomfortable. What do we do when the people we looked up to are no longer perfect? Leaders like Cesar Chavez helped build a movement that gave us dignity to farmworkers and Latino families across the country. But today there are serious conversations and allegations being discussed. And here's what I want to say. Two things can be true at the same time. We can honor impact and still have the courage to face the truth. Because real leadership is about protecting people and protecting principles. And the principles we stand for are simple: dignity, respect, and accountability. And part of dignity, part of respect, is making sure that we've never ignored the voices who may have been hurt. Because if there are victims in any story, they deserve to be seen, to be heard, and to be protected. Our community cannot ask for justice in one area and stay silent in another. But here's the bigger question: how do we rise from this? We rise by remembering that no movement should ever depend on one person. We rise by teaching our kids that character matters more than titles. We rise by building our leaders in our homes, in our communities, and in everyday choices. And we rise by saying this clearly: our future is not fragile. Our values are stronger than any one story, and our community doesn't fall apart when something like this happens. We get stronger because we choose to learn, not to ignore. This is why I talk about financial unity, and because dignity isn't just about money, it's about How we live, how we lead, and how we treat each other when no one's watching. Our future isn't built on one leader. It's built on millions of us choosing to do the right thing.
