Latino Economic Revolution: Build Wealth, Not Just Work

In this impassioned address, the speaker calls on the Latino community to move beyond hard work and motivation toward a collective economic revolution focused on wealth creation. He highlights the community’s historic contributions—building families, businesses, serving in fields, classrooms, hospitals, and leadership roles—yet points out that Latinos remain behind in wealth accumulation because they have never been taught how to convert labor into assets. Citing that the community generates trillions in economic activity while many families lack bank savings, health insurance, or future plans, he urges an immediate shift from earning to owning, from surviving to building, and from working hard to building wealth intentionally. He shares his personal decision in 1990 to leave work with affluent clients and return to Boyle Heights to provide his community with the knowledge and opportunities needed for wealth building, reaffirming his ongoing commitment and thanking supporters for joining the journey.
