Alright, I'm sharing something that I've had to deal with and a lot of us as well. And that's loyalty. Now, as Latinos, we're raised to be loyal to our family, to our friends, to our community. And that's a beautiful thing. But here's where it gets hard. What happens when you start wanting more? You want to go to college, you want to start a business, you want to level up your life, and suddenly, the people around you get uncomfortable. They start saying things to you like, "Well, you think you're better than us?" Or, "You've changed." Or, "Don't forget where you came from." And now, you feel stuck because you love them but you also feel called to grow. And a lot of people make this mistake. They shrink their dreams just to stay loyal. They stay the same just to keep everyone comfortable. But let me tell you something. That's not loyalty. That's fear. Real loyalty doesn't ask you to stay small. Real loyalty says, go become everything you're capable of. And if you have to choose, don't choose comfort. Don't choose approval. Choose growth. Because you can still love your people without living their limitations.
