So this year, we're gonna work on my most important New Year's resolution. We're gonna give you tools to make sure that, you know, they become real things that you can work on for 2018 and have wonderful results at the end of 2018. So that's what we're gonna talk about, my most important New Year's resolution. And we're gonna go with the first worksheet that you will see on your screen and also you'll be able to download on our website. And it's called the Most Important Question. And I've borrowed this from Dan Sullivan's Strategic Coach program that I did for years. And it's a wonderful question to set off the new year, Right? And the question goes like this. If you and I were meeting one year from today and you look back over the year, what has to have happened for you to feel happy about your progress? Okay? So think about it. What we're doing is we're thinking forward at the end of next year, we or this year, 2018, and we're now in 2019. You say, you know what? I had a wonderful 2018 because I was able to lose weight. I was able to make the money that I wanted to make. I was able to take the trips that I wanted to take, spend time with the loved ones. What is it? So it's really important to write it down. And with that, we're going to answer three more questions that are going to be part of that, which is the question you will answer is, what dangers need to be eliminated? One of my New Year's goals this year is I've been terrible at taking care of my health for the last couple of years. So I'm going to focus on my diet, going to focus on my sleeping patterns.
Focus on not wasting time. So, for example, dangers that I'm going to eliminate is having carbs in the house or unhealthy food in the house. Making sure that my alarm goes off in the morning and I don't have it right next to me, so I don't do the snooze button, get up and go to the gym every day. So what do you need to eliminate from your daily activities to keep you going forward? Other question here is what opportunities need to be captured. That's really important. You know, sometimes there are droughts, and then all of a sudden it starts to rain. If we have a rain bucket that has holes, you won't catch that opportunity. So what things do you need to do to Capture opportunities for 2018? Things I've been telling people for the last several months is we haven't had a recession in years. We might have one in 2018. But if you don't have money saved to buy, get into the stock market or invest in mutual funds or ETFs, what are you going to do? You can't capture that opportunity. How hard are you working towards your craft? In case somebody offers you a position in a certain job, making more money but you needed a certain certificate or certain designation or certain degree, are you working on that? And the last question is, what personal strengths need to be maximized? Everyone has unique abilities, everybody has unique talents, and so you need to spend more on that to become more valuable. Thus you're making more money in the marketplace. But what are you doing to do that? So one of the things that I'd like you to do in 2018 is we'll do it later on in part of the series is not a to do list, but a not to do list. So I hope this first worksheet gets you going strong. Take a pencil, take a pen, write it down, send me some of the stuff. I'd like to see the comments on it. Share this with other people that you know so we can get going. And download the worksheet as soon as you're done hearing me. And thank you and let's have a great 2018.
