I know this may be controversial, some people are not going to like hearing this, but I need to say it anyway. Too many Latino business owners are hurting themselves because they underreport income or inflate expenses just to avoid paying taxes. And listen, I get it, nobody likes paying taxes. I don't work for the IRS, I work for you, I work for our community. But here's the truth: when your tax returns show little profit on paper, it looks like your business is weak. So when you want to buy a home, get a business loan, expand your company, bring in investors, or someday sell your business for real value, well, the bank looks at your numbers and says, sorry, your financials are too weak. And let me clear up another myth I hear all the time. People say the rich don't pay taxes. That's simply not true. I work with successful Latino entrepreneurs and multi-millionaires, and I believe me, they pay a lot in taxes. Yes, smart wealthy people use legal planning strategies, deductions, and structure to reduce tax wisely, but they are still paying substantial taxes because they are earning substantial income. This is what success looks like. I always tell my clients, I can't wait for the day you complain to me that you just paid a million dollars in taxes, because if you're paying a million dollars in taxes, as if you're making millions or building real wealth. Strong financial statements create borrowing power. Borrowing power creates growth. Growth creates equity. And equity creates generational wealth. Look, if you want stronger Latino businesses in America, we have to stop thinking only about saving taxes today and start thinking about building value for tomorrow. Please help our Finanzas con Corazón community grow by following my page, liking, and engaging. Be part of creating a Latino economic revolution.
