Luis Baragas responds to hateful comments targeting him as Latino by turning them into fuel for personal growth, financial responsibility, and community support. He argues that most people across all backgrounds share the same goals: protecting family, maintaining dignity, and leaving a legacy. Real change comes from contribution and compassion, not retaliation.

Turning hate into purpose. Hi, I'm Luis Baragas. Now, sometimes the hate doesn't come loud, it comes sideways. It comes through a passive aggressive comment and indirect. I've been seeing that a lot in my comments on my posts recently. Now here's some of the things that I've been hearing. As long as they're legal, you people should just as long as they follow the law or all Latinos. And let me pause right there. Just because I'm Latino does not mean I'm undocumented. It doesn't mean I'm illegal and doesn't mean I'm breaking any laws. And it doesn't mean I don't belong to we're not labels, we're souls. Every single one of us is here trying to do the same thing. We want to protect our families, feed and raise our children, live with dignity and leave something better behind. Now here's how we respond to the hate. Not with anger, not with insults, and not by tearing each other down. We turn it into focus. Every time someone throws you an indirecta, a passive aggressive comment, I ask yourself, ask yourself one question. What's one positive thing you can do today because of this? How can Ask yourself, how can I turn their hate into getting back by becoming better? How do I save a little more? How can I learn something new? How do I show for my family more present? How do I help another Latino who's still trying to figure it out? Now that comment becomes an anchor, not a weapon. It grounds you, reminds you why you do your work and why I do my work. And when the hate comes from another Latino, I don't fight them either. I pray for them. Because they don't yet see that our strengths have always been collective. They don't see yet that dividing ourselves only delays our progress. They're hurting too, even if they don't know how to say it. Now, there will always be bad people in every group. Bad whites, bad blacks, bad Latinos, bad everything. But most people are just trying to survive with the tools they were given. That's how we change America. Not through hate, not through shouting, but through contribution, growth and compassion. And every time someone doubts you or throws you an indirecta, let the flame inside of you burn a little brighter. Not to destroy, but to build.
