And almost every single time the answer, well, I just want to make more money with my money. Then I ask, okay, but why? Because the truth is most people have never really thought about it. Money isn't the goal, money's just a tool. So I start asking questions like, do you want to buy a home someday? Do you want to retire without worrying about running out of money? Do you want to start your own business? Do you want to help your kids graduate from college without a mountain of debt? Do you want to take care of your parents as they get older?
