For many Latinos, being rich means security, peace, freedom to support family, and breaking cycles of sacrifice. It's not about a dollar amount but the feeling of relief from survival-mode pressure and the ability to decline draining jobs.

People tell me all the time, Louis, I want to be rich. But wanting to be rich is usually not about the money. It's always about a feeling. Now, for a lot of us Latinos, rich means security. It means not stressing every time the phone rings. It's not wondering if this month the rent's going to clear. It's not living with that constant aver que pasa feeling. For others, rich means peace. That's sleeping through the night, not carrying the stress our parents carry, not feeling guilty every time you rest because you're always in survival mode. And for some, rich means freedom. Freedom to help your parents without going broke, Freedom to say no to jobs that drain your soul, and freedom to take your kids on a trip without having to pull out the credit card. And for many of us, rich means winning, breaking generational patterns, proving that all the sacrifice, all the hustle, all the grinding meant something. So when you say, I want to be rich, don't ask how much money you want. Ask the real question, what feeling are you chasing?
