Why supporting each other matters. So here's something we need to talk about in our Latino community. Sometimes we say we want more Latino success, but we don't always support it when it shows up. Let me give you an example. So if a Latino filmmaker creates a movie about our community and millions of us go to see it, Hollywood notices. They just don't celebrate the movie. They invest in the next one. Now that means more Latino writers, more Latino producers, more Latino actors, bigger budgets. But if we don't show up, Hollywood assumes that the audience isn't there. Same thing with books. If we buy books written by Latino authors, publishers see the demand and suddenly more Latino voices get signed, more stories get told, and more dreams get funded. And now here's the part we have to be honest about. At the beginning, it may not always be perfect. It may not be the biggest budget. It may not be the cheapest option. It may not have the polish of a billion-dollar studio, but every movement starts somewhere. And here's the truth. Latinos are almost 20% of the US population. When we support each other intentionally, that's economic power. And when we use that power, we create opportunity for the next generation of Latino creators, entrepreneurs, and dreamers. Because one day that filmmaker, that writer, that entrepreneur might be your child or grandchild.
