Today we're looking at the Rode Wireless Go2. Coming in at $299. I have seen it go up to $500. Don't pay that amount. It usually comes back down to 299. Just check the link down below and see what it's at right now. But it should come down, back down at 299. This is the second version. The first one only came with one receiver and one transmitter. And if you wanted to add a second one you would have to buy a whole new set. So that would be essentially 400 bucks. Where this is 300 and it's coming in at 2. So let's get started. And open it up. I did cheat and kind of opened it up. I tried messing with it earlier and I just messed up the front. So I just. Yeah, bear with me. So taking everything out of the box here we have the little carrying pouch at 299. I was hoping that you would get something better than a little. A little sack, some. I don't know, just this. I'm not really impressed with this at this price point. So I'll probably end up getting something. Probably a heavy, heavy duty sturdier case to put something like this in. So gonna kind of open this up right here. Right here we have the little dehydration pack. Just quick tip, keep these and throw them in your camera bag just to keep the moisture out of it. So don't go throwing this away. This can come come in handy. So right here we have the two transmitters and the one receiver. And it does come with the noise deadening things. On the Rode Wireless GO one. They tended to come off. These ones screw in. So I just screw this one in. If you can't see that I'm yanking on it, it's not going anywhere. So a lot of people are losing these in the Rode Wireless Go1. So I'm kind of happy that they did upgrade these there. So that's. That's really nice to see. So move this out of the way. Take a look at the charging cables. The charging cables are type A to type C. I kind of wish that they somehow would have been able to add all three of them onto one. But I guess this is better than nothing. So not bad. And then we also have the 3 millimeter TSR analog output cable. It's kind of, kind of small, but it is what it is. If I could open it, maybe see how long it actually is.9 inches. So not too bad. Then we also have the manual. So pretty straightforward. Lots of pictures, nothing too crazy. But yeah, that's all that that's coming in here. One receiver, two transmitters, the windshields, cables and that's about it. So I had a chance to look at them and I'm kind of impressed on the, this little clip system that they have. If I open it up a little bit and you can see that there's kind of like a rubber I guess patch in here to kind of keep it, keep it from sliding and in inside of here there's six little holes and indentations. And on this clip there's I guess the things that go in here to kind of keep whatever if you put it on a shirt somewhere from, from slipping. So I'm kind of little, little details like this make it. Make it nice to hey, maybe that's where the 2 tonight 299 price point is coming from. So that's, that's nice to see. I they also do do have that mute button in the bottom. I've seen some concerns of muting themselves when you're using them. So just a heads up, you can go into the app once you download it onto your laptop and disable this feature which is a nice thing. One of the downsides is that the only way that you can update or change any of your preferences is that you do have to download the app on your laptop. As of right now, you can't mess with any of the features on your phone. That would be nice if they're. They're able to get an app out so that you can update features. See, see if they're paired, see how, how well they're doing. So that's hopefully in the future comes out. I haven't turned them on late, I haven't turned them on yet so haven't had a chance to mess with them. But if y' all have any questions or wanna get the product, feel free to click my link down below. Helps me. I also am gonna get the Sony LAV mics for these. Rode does have their own mic, but at 70 bucks that's kind, kind of a big chunk of change. They should have included it in with this, with this kit, but they didn't. Kind of downside of it, but whatever. Sony lav mics around 20 bucks. Kind of bang bang for your buck. If y' all wanted to see any other specifics about them, feel free to reach out. I can always let you know in the comments or something. Here's, here's the little system. You put it in, you twist it in the little windshield, twist it in there, so that's pretty nice to see. I'm happy I did not purchase the Wireless Go ones. I did purchase these because they had two transmitters. If you're doing a podcast or anything like that, you are going to need two microphones or two wireless microphones, so it's nice that they had they could include two of these. The range on these is 200 meters, which is more than the RODE Wireless Go ones, which is nice to see. And little improvements like this are nice to see on on the second iteration of the RODE Wireless Go ones. Not not many bad things were with the RODE Wireless Go one, but I'm glad to see that on their second iteration they're kind of giving you more features, helping us out, so that's nice to see. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave them down below. Click my links do the things smash the like Thanks.
