Luis Lan missed his connection from Fukuoka to New Chitose after a delayed flight from Yakushima. Japan Airlines rebooked him on a different route through Haneda and got him to Niseko Village by rental car instead.
The hotel was only 30 minutes away from the airport. We got there two hours early. During our trip through Japan, Japan Airlines flights were constantly delayed, but this one was definitely one that we could not have run late. Flying from Yakushima island to Fukuoka. We would be taking one last plane to Nunchitose later that day and that connection was really tight so there was not much room for a delay. Then have to rent a car to drive to Niseko Village. Unfortunately, our plane was delayed and we missed that flight. Although we missed our flight from Fukuoka to Nujitosi, we were super impressed with how Japan Airlines staff was able to rebook us and make sure we caught our new connections. They even took us from the tarmac like some sort of VIPs to our gate. So now that we missed our flight from Fukuoka to Nucitosi, we would have to fly from Fukuoka to Haneda to then Niuchitosi and still rent a car to go to Niseko Village.
