Proposal Gone Wrong (or Right)? Her Answer Will Shock You

Got her parents. Oh, I think she noticed. I think she noticed. Oh. What? Yeah, we came down from our concert so we thought we'd say hi. It's finally happening, guys. After five years of being together, I'm asking her the question, making the proposal, firing the question, getting down on one knee and putting a ring on it. Well, hopefully, I hope. I invited her parents down this weekend for what she thinks is a nice weekend. But little does she know how it's gonna end up or what's gonna happen tomorrow. I ended up picking up her parents from the airport and then heading straight to pick her up. We stopped at Pine House for a happy hour before heading over to Bufalino to get some sweet, sweet Neapolitan style pizz pizza. But I have to be honest, man, that whole dinner I couldn't even focus on eating because I was not ready for what was going to happen tomorrow. It's 5:15 in the morning right now. Today is the day. I've been up since like four, tossing and turning. Pretty anxious, but I think it'll go well. So decided to take Young Guap out for a walk and probably get some donuts and some kolaches for them before we head out. Have to head out kind of early since Garrison Brothers is in the middle of nowhere. So it'll be quite a drive. So let's get the day started and hopefully it ends on a good note. As I walked Guapo in the dark, thoughts filled my mind. What if she says no? Damn, that would suck. That drive back home would be so quiet and uncomfortable. Will we still get those burgers afterwards? I hope so. Do you know why dogs do that? If you do know, please let me know because I have no idea. Dog and goods. All these thoughts about proposing and what burger I was gonna have sure were making me hungry. So of course we had to stop at the donut shop. Unfortunately, Buddy couldn't come inside, so he kind of just had to watch me from the outside. But no need to worry as I knew sharing was caring. We got everyone in the car and headed out to the middle of nowhere. In the car, ready to go. Yo, yo, yo. To go to the Garrison Brothers distillery tour. You know, to get some liquid courage in me before I had to ask the question. It was pretty dope. It was pretty fun. Had a lot of stuff to do. Riding around the trailer and seeing the whiskey and all the barrels kind of took my mind off of it. That big bull statue was pretty cool. Good looking. If you come for the tour, get here early. That's a long straw, Sam Dog. It was still in the back of my head the inevitable situation I'd put myself in later that day. I had it all planned out, but would it actually work that way? I can't. You can't really tell, honestly. We arrived at the winery later that day, I started to lose it. There was a point where I kind of had to hype myself up. Definitely ran into the bathroom, looked at myself and said, you got this. It's go time, baby. I looked at her saying some real Rico Suave stuff. And then I tried to get the box out of my back pocket. It wouldn't come out. It was stuck. Oh, God. I started to panic. I was scrambling. Oh, play cool. Play cool. Alright. Got it out. Oh. I get on one knee, I ask the question and she kind of just looks at me and says, are you sure? And then I reply, I don't know. I guess. But yeah. She ended up saying yes. Good thing she did. I wasn't able to eat all day and now that she said yes, that could be behind me. But now I had to put all my energy into what kind of burger I was having it fit. She liked it. She said yes. Nice. It is very packed, but it always is because it is best over here in Texas. Very delicious burgers. If you come get the bucket burger. Onion rings, green beans and fries. Fried green tomatoes.
