Headed to breakfast this morning for some cheese, bagels. A little sun today. Oh, there's a. There's a car coming, so gotta move.
Out of the way.
Hibiscus.
Hey, Nice.
But it's a little bit of a jaunt up, but not too bad. We take the shortcut.
Oh, we might.
Oh, wow. Look at that. Looking pretty nice today. Look at all that water. It's Japan. Look at the boat. Fishing boat out there fishing.
All right. Let's go eat some breakfast.
Oh, those are the mushroom logs. Shiitake mushroom logs. Sawtooth cedar.
Okay. Thank you.
Backpack. Okay.
Thank you so much. Yes. See you soon. Twist my arm.
Thank you very much.
We'll be back. Appreciate it. Thanks.
Bye.
Look at that. It was hard to see the last couple days. They gave us a loaf of bread.
In case we get hungry on our long journey to.
Look at that sunshine. The waves aren't too big.
Nice day.
Bye. San Cara Hotel. We love you. You guys. They're so cute.
Look at.
Look it. It's in the shape of the Yakushima Island. They're the best. You should. You should go.
I don't know what he's saying. Oh, Lord.
Regular.
Cash. Cash.
Do we need one?
Oh.
Oh.
Can you wait?
Say hi.
American.
Texas.
Texas. Oh, Texas. How much is Japanese gas?
Okay.
Okay. I like your hat. You want to trade anyway? You want to trade? I will change it.
Yeah.
You want it? Oh, no, no, no. Yeah, no.
He probably has on his uniform.
He can get another one. He can't get another Texas one.
I want you to. I like this hat.
I can get another one in Texas.
You're not going to wear that?
I wouldn't.
I wore this one. What do you think? I like it. I can get another one in Texas.
I like these Gas stations come with a wardrobe change assistance Traffic director.
He bowed to us.
We got 1/3 of a tank of gas. It was $38 US.
Make sure you keep your nastic and I will drive you back to the airport.
Even though the hotel was only 30 minutes away from the airport, we got there two hours early. During our trip through Japan, Japan Airlines flights were constantly delayed, but this one was definitely one that we could not have run late. Flying from Yakushima island to Fukuoka, we would be taking one last plane to Nijitosi later that day. And that connection was really tight, so there was not much room for a delay. Then have to rent a car to drive to Niseko Village. Unfortunately, our plane was delayed and we missed that flight. Although we missed our flight from Fukuoka to Nitosi. We were super impressed with how Japan Airlines took staff, was able to rebook us and make sure we caught our new connections. They even took us from the tarmac like some sort of VIPs to our gate. So now that we missed our flight from Fukuoka to Nijitoshi, we would have to fly from Fukuoka to Haneda to then Nujitosi and still rent a car to go to Niseko Village.
We're from Texas. United States. Me. Yeah. It's hot there. It's hot. What do you do?
Hey, cut that up.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Missed our flight, so we have to go to Tokyo now.
Heading in from Tokyo.
So before we had it, we had a non stop. Now we have a connection in Tokyo. Hopefully this one goes smooth.
Whoa.
There's carpet in this one.
Interesting.
I'm so thankful.
We might make it.
We did.
I don't know. Maybe next time.
The book. Yeah. Nice.
The dad was the killer.
Dun dun dun.
It was always the dad. Yeah. This might have been a little hard to navigate.
Oh, I don't know how to mess with this.
Thank you. Thank you.
Amazed Shout out Pan Airlines. We went down that stairway and then we came back up it. We were at the terminal. They helped us out. Otherwise we wouldn't have made it in time. Finally getting the airplane to Sapporo.
In our original itinerary, we would have landed in Hokkaido early afternoon. But after all the flight delays and extra planes, we arrived late in the evening. So late that the rental car shop was closed where I was supposed to rent a car. We had two options. We would either have to pay for an extra hotel room and stay in Sapporo for the night and then drive out the next day, or pay for a taxi that would drive us three hours from the airport to Niseko Village. Can you guess what we chose? Looking back on it, I'm kind of glad we ended up just sucking it up and paying taxi. Because the weather ended up being really bad and it snowed the whole three hour drive up to Niseko Village. We ended up getting to the Ritz so late that the kitchen and restaurants were close around us, was closed, and the only open areas around was the nearby town. And that was about a 30 minute drive. And there, due to the storm, there were no taxis that could take us there and take us back. Special shout out to the front desk attendant that was able to find us some snacks and the Sankara staff that gave us a freshly made loaf of bread and goodie bags on our way out, which I thought was kind of weird, but with all the delays, was all that we could eat while on the move. Yep.
Man.
Thank you.
Thank you. Yeah. Had a couple of delayed flights, couple.
Of missed flights, so took us a while.
Thank you.
Only snack. A snack. A snack. Okay.
Yeah, it.
