Hi, I'm Lydia. In 2020, I resigned from my corporate job and took a big leap of faith. I launched a business I had been dreaming about for a long time. I had so many questions when I first started and zero people on my email list. But I was committed to one thing. Taking massive imperfect action. Within 18 months, I had thousands of students in my courses and coaching programs and was able to retire my husband from his 30 year career to work with me. I'm still pinching myself that we get to run a six figure business while living a life we love. But the truth is this overnight success did not happen overnight. For more than two decades, I let imposter syndrome, fear of failure and perfectionism hold me back from my passions and purpose. What is it that you've been wanting to launch? In the Launch Perspective Podcast we share the mindset and the step by step strategies that will help you launch and scale the online business of your dreams so you can live life with more freedom and impact. It's time for a new Perspective. Welcome to the show. Welcome back to Launch Perspective. I am over the moon about our episode for today because it is one of my favorite guests to have on the podcast. Amy Porterfield is here today and we're going to be chatting about all things courses related to an AI world. And you've probably been wondering, are courses dead? Are courses still relevant today? How can I be authentic about what I teach and how I show up in what really feels like just AI inundated all day long. And so I can't wait to tell you a little bit about what we're going to chat about. But before that, I do want to share just a little bit of a background of how I first got introduced to Amy. I was invited to a webinar with her through someone I was working for, my boss. I was helping her bring a speaking business online and she said, take this webinar with Amy Porterfield. And this was back in 2014 and for the first time I heard somebody talk about what life could be like as a digital course creator. And I remember thinking, oh my word, one day I want to do that. And I will tell you, as much excitement and interest as was generated in that first webinar, it took me six years to finally see step out of the boat, step out in faith and launch my online business. So maybe today this resonates a bit with you. Maybe you were like me and you've let fear or imposter syndrome or perfectionism, whatever hold you back from launching this course that you Know you want to share. And so I'm excited because thankfully in 2020, I did take that step of faith. Launched my online business, launched my first course, and as they say, the rest is history. I am so grateful to Amy. Not just because of all I've learned from her through her podcast and through her digital course academy, but I'm so grateful to her because she is one of the most caring, amazing humans I know. And I know you're going to learn so much from her today. She's a best selling author, of course. She has helped over 100,000 students build $120 million business selling online courses. She definitely knows her stuff, so. And I could not be more honored that she's our guest today. So welcome. Amy, thanks so much for being here.
Lydia, thank you so much for having me. It's such an honor. I love to hear how you got your start. I didn't know it was six years from that first webinar till you took the leap, but I'm so glad you did because you're crushing it, my friend.
Yeah, six years. But you know, I always say, you know, even during those six years I was learning from you, I was listening. I was in one of your early programs. And I just remember, even as I was learning it for someone else, I'm like, one day, can you imagine if I could create that kind of flexibility and freedom? And you know, when before you do it, it's scary and you're like, will it really happen and will it really work? And I'm just here to tell you, if I can do it, anyone can do it. So I'm excited to have you here today. Thanks so much.
Thank you.
So let's talk about the AI thing because I know, you know, obviously in the 16 years you've been doing this, almost six years I've been doing this, the world's changed a bit, right? Online courses have changed, how we launch them, how we show up for people. And it's been a lot of good things, a lot of good changes, right? I mean, AI has helped us be more efficient. It's helped us get things done faster. I know for me, it's helped me kind of get out of the decision fatigue a little bit, make decisions faster. But I know a lot of people are thinking, well, are courses even relevant? Why should I even bother making a course any, Even today when people can go on AI, figure things out, learn things. So I'd love to hear your kind of overall take on this. What do you think? Our course is dead, Amy. What what's happening?
It's such a good question. I literally had one of my past employees who went on to start her own business. I'm so proud of her. She texted me and said, amy, I want to create a course for my new business. But one of my friends said, courses are dead. What do you think? And I got a big smile on my face because I thought, ooh, I was made for this. Like, I am ready for this. Courses are not dead. However, they are evolving. It would be a big disservice if I sat here and said, no, courses are fine. They're just as they always have been. No changes whatsoever. That's not true. But the changes are so good that if you've waited this long to finally create your digital course, you actually made a really smart decision. Now is a great time because as you said, AI has changed the how we do things. And in the course world, AI has made it easier to build your course and deliver your course. However, the evolving part of courses is that human perspective, stories and support remain irreplaceable. Meaning you can't just use AI to create a watered down course. Put it out in the world and think you're not going to get lost in the sea of online noises or sea of online noise. So courses are not dead. I want to make that very clear. They are different and in such a cool way. The magic is combining timeless teaching that your audience listening now. You have a skillset, you have knowledge, you have a perspective that your audience needs and wants and you can use today's tools to actually create it in a more fast, efficient way and save a bunch of money while you're at it.
It's so true. I mean, if I even think back to the first course I created when I, when I launched my business, it was called the Digital Clutter Cure. Still sell it on Evergreen today.
I love that.
But yes, I launched that live seven or eight times in my first two years of business. It really was the foundation of my business. It's what put me on the map, helped me build my audience. But even back then, before we had AI, what the magic was was showing up. It was the support, it was the way you brought it. And I learned that from you. Because imposter syndrome was a big thing for me. When I first started, I thought, who am I to teach xyz? Who's going to really listen to me? And it's like, you know what? We all do have something special that we can bring. And if you, if you can own that right, that, that special thing that you bring to the table and show up with your students live. I think by live, by launching my courses as live cohorts, that taught me so much about how to show up as my authentic self. So is that what you're seeing more today? A lot of people not just doing the kind of do it yourself, but more of the let's walk through it together. Let's. Let's be there together. That support, is that really what you think kind of helps people, or is there something else?
No, that is it. So what I'm seeing working really well with my students and in my own business is it's not just a bunch of information. Information does not equal transformation. And students aren't paying for steps that they could Google or now chat GPT their way to an answer. So information is everywhere. What's not everywhere is that you are paying. Your students are paying for you to guide them along the way. And what that looks like is helping them stay accountable, actually getting in there with them and making sure that they have the support they need. Maybe it's reviewing their work or auditing their work to make sure that they're on the right track. You now step up as a mentor, which is really enjoyable, by the way. It's the fun part of digital courses, so. So that, of course, you have the. The information is important, what you know is important, but how you experience it with them, how you step into the experience and walk alongside them, that is what is working. And here's why it's working. We are in a trust recession. What's happened over the last year or two, especially in the us Things are a little bit shaky. People are a little uncertain. And so because of that, they're kind of like, ooh, I don't know who I can trust right now. So if they know you're walking alongside them, if they know your point of view, your stories, your experiences, you're connecting with them, they trust you a whole lot faster than some random course online that they don't even know who the owner is because the owner thought they could use AI, throw it out there and make a bunch of money. You can't. That's not working. And so that's why it's so important to build that connection with your audience. And again, that's the fun part.
It is the fun part. And I will be honest, even having my digital clutter program on Evergreen, it was most powerful when I was going through it with them together. And it's one of the reasons why I feel like your. Your Signature program, digital course academy is so powerful. Being in a community where we had connection with you, connection with other people, going through the journey together, that is so much more motivating. And that accountability is there because now you're in there with a group. You're not isolated, you're not on your own trying to figure everything out. And I feel like if you create that environment and that experience for your students, you're right. They're not only going to buy, but they're going to have that transformation.
They're going to have that transformation. And I love that you brought up accountability. So I, for. As an example, I hate working out. I will never like it. It's never at the top of my list. And I will always wake up every morning dreading that I have to work out. However, I do have. I have the. The privilege of having a trainer come to my house three days a week. And so she's going to be in my garage, rain or shine, whether I want it or not.
You.
And that is why I'm very consistent with my workouts, because she keeps me accountable. You can recreate something like that, not one on one, one to many, where you're like, knock, knock, knock, let's get back into it. Here we are. Let's do this together. And that is why people are seeing big results with their courses right now, because they're keeping people accountable. One of the challenges is helping people get to the finish line. So if you start thinking of new ways to bring them back into your course and actually get to that finish line, you become someone that everyone talks about. Have you taken this course? The results are amazing. So that accountability is so huge.
It is. And I also think too, that I remember back as a new course creator, my first initial thought was, well, I need to do a transformation for people that takes them through every step. This thing's going to be 12 to 16 modules, and I'm going to teach them everything in my head about this one particular thing and what I'm seeing trending today. I'll see. What you think is that really people are so overwhelmed with time and information that they really are searching more for the quick wins they're searching for. Just get me to point B, for goodness sakes. Like, what's the one thing I need to do? Or the few things I need to do, which makes life a lot easier for those of us that create courses.
Absolutely. Yes, yes, yes. When I teach people how to create courses, there's three different types of courses. There's a beginner course where you're just getting them started in one area. And, and there's also a highlighted course where. Or spotlight course where you highlight one area of your expertise and you go deep on that to get them that specific result. Or you could do a signature course, which is more of like the Mac Daddy, the big course. I always tell my students who have never created a course before, I love a spotlight course where you just take one area of your expertise. And so for, for me, I teach how to create courses, I teach list building, I teach leadership. So I might just, just take that leadership with part of my expertise and teach in that area. Not everything I know. And that's what people are paying for laser focused transformation, which makes it a whole lot easier to create your course and get it out into the world.
It does. And I have a great example of that. So I followed your lead on that and last November I did a live, like almost co working experience because one of my spotlight areas is kajabi. I teach people how to use and optimize kajabi. And just like you said, it was a very focused how do we get your offer, your leads built in this one platform. And I'm telling you, we ended up having like 150 people in that course like, like two weeks after I decided I was even going to do it.
So it was focused on one thing. That's what people are looking for.
Yes. And I think I'm so glad I'm out of the overthinking stage. I tell people, get out of the overthinking stage. Find that thing that you know people need, get it out there, launch it. We delivered it live. That's my favorite way to do things. Don't even have to pre record anything. But you just, you have those topics, you deliver them live. They got those wins, they got that transformation. And I just want people to know it's so much easier to create a course when you don't think you have to pre record everything. Like, you know, 12 modules, no one wants it anymore.
Yeah, no one wants that overload. So like I said in the beginning, like if you've waited to create a course, you chose wisely, my friend, because you're coming in a time where that expectation that has to be super polished or 20 modules or go on for six months, no one wants that. It's easier to get people's attention when you can get them results faster.
Absolutely. And I love that, like you said, when you show up with authenticity and create even sometimes that atmosphere with that community, that's another Great piece about courses. Right. Group. Some people are doing group coaching with their courses, communities with their courses. Like people want to be with people.
Yes.
Right. We're too isolated after the pandemic and everything else. Like, I think if I can do this alongside others, I'm going to be much more excited and motivated. So I love that. Is there any other trends that you're seeing that we haven't talked about yet?
Well, I am seeing this one trend that I used to do a long time ago and we're going to bring it back, but many of my students have already brought it back and that is to offer what I call a mini course or a mini offer in general before someone pays you, let's say 200, $300,000 for your digital course. So this is what it looks like and you tell me if you've ever done this before. Let's say you have a free guide, a checklist, a cheat sheet that you put out into your audience and it's a lead magnet. So in exchange for their name and email, you're going to give them this freebie. So they sign up for, let's say the cheat sheet. And on the welcome page, instead of saying, hey, go check your inbox, I just sent it to you, you're offering something of value, but for a really no brainer price. 17 bucks. $27. $37. No brainer price, but it's something of value. And then from there, now they've made their first purchase with you right away. So now when someone makes a purchase, Even if it's $27, they're more likely to stay in your community, pay attention and see what else you got. Especially if that, let's say $27 mini offer was really good. It also offsets any ad spend that you might want to do. Or you could just put that money back into creating and launching your first digital course. So offering a mini offer on the thank you page of a lead magnet, it's not a new idea, but it's something that I'm seeing coming back and working really well. Have you ever done anything like that?
Yes. So I have something like that on my challenge launch checklist. Okay, so I have a freebie challenge launch checklist. And when they get that freebie, it outlines kind of what a challenge launch looks like, why it's so beneficial, but on the thank you page and invites them to my challenge launch boot camp.
Oh, that's good.
It's a, it's a challenge. It's the replays from a live challenge that I did. It's $37. And yes, that we have like 20% opt in rate of the boot camp when people get into the chat checklist. But I agree, once they've paid you for something, we do find they're. They're much more likely to be engaged when we have bigger offers. Definitely.
Yes, for sure. So there's a lot of benefits to that. It's a trend I'm seeing kind of come back, but from the past. And I highly recommend you check it out.
Yeah. Because you know, people come in sometimes with a freebie, but there's usually a next step or something that they should take and you know, and then it leads to bigger steps from there. So I love that. Absolutely. So you were talking about how some people probably think I've missed the boat. You know, I haven't created a course. I mean, we talked a little bit about why now is the time. Is there anything else on that people should understand on how or why or what. Why this should really be something they should be focused on right now?
Yes. Okay. So, you know, coming back to AI tools, you know, when our parents used to say, I used to walk to school up, uphill, both ways kind of thing. Well, that's how I feel. You and I got into the course creation world. It was a whole lot harder, more difficult back in the day without AI tools. So I am a huge fan of AI tools, Chat, GPT specifically. I think it could help you create your AI outline faster. I think it could help you write email copy better. I think there's a lot of benefits to it as long as you pitch and catch. I always say you have to feed your AI tool. Feed the beast, meaning give it information about your ideal audience. Give it all the information that about the course that you want to create. Tell them about your brand, the challenges your students or future students may have. Really feed it what it needs and then you can pitch and catch with it. So to create, let's say, your first outline for your course or scripts or whatever it might be. So not only is now a great time to create a course because people are craving that connection, that community, that engagement. That's way easier than creating a bunch of modules and recording tons of videos, which I don't think you need to do anymore. Sure, you're going to want videos and lessons and PDFs, but not at the extent that we used to do. Again, information is not what we're talking about here. Transformation. So some of the information plus the accountability, plus the community, that's where it's actually working for so many of my students. So I just come back to the fact that yes, I want you. If you've waited to get in the game, you haven't missed the boat at all. The online course industry is still continuing to climb. They it hasn't hit a plateau. It isn't going down. All studies are pointing to it is continuing to grow. So you haven't missed the boat whatsoever. And you've come in a time that you're going to get it done much faster than Lydia and I have ever created a course. But also hopefully really get strategic on how you offer the course so that people see, oh, I can trust him or I can trust her because that's what they're looking for. They want to be able to trust you.
Yes. I always have these conversations with my 17 year old son about life before cell phones and life before GPS and we can't remember.
Our kids cannot remember. Isn't while. That's when I start to feel old.
Oh, me too. Listen, I mean he has no idea with his permit right now what it was like for us to learn how to drive places. But it's the same thing with courses. I mean, you're right. I mean all of the things we had to do and write down and brainstorm. I totally have embraced AI even before ChatGPT came out. And so I teach a lot of it inside our programs and it's, it's amazing what it does to reduce the thinking that's in your head so that you do get the opportunity to launch faster. That to me is one of the biggest blessings of AI. It's still you. And like you said, you have to train it well, the outputs are only as good as the inputs. But oh my goodness, the fact of the. What I can accomplish in a day.
Yes.
Compared to before. And so if anybody's thinking about creating a course, you're like, but I wouldn't know where to get started. Like, those are the sort of things I love that you include in your programs. I definitely talk about it in mine because it is something to be learned. But the great thing is, is that it. I feel like it's one of the easier things we've had to learn. I think it's easier than learning video recording and editing. It's really one of the easiest things to learn in my opinion.
And the fact that today you can create an entire course with an iPhone or smartphone, that's also wild to me. We used to use really janky software and editing tools that. And I'm not techie. So I really struggled through that. And now my students are creating courses with their iPhone, and I'm like, geez, that is such a cool thing to do.
So for anybody just getting started, let's say they have a topic they're thinking about, all right? But they're worried, you know, is it unique enough? You know, what's going to get people drawn into my topic and my personality and how I deliver and the transformation I'm going to give what will help them stand out.
Okay, so the first thing is we got to be careful with our mindset around. Is my topic interesting enough, valuable enough? Would anyone want to buy a course around this topic? And then what usually comes out of that is my topic's already been done before. So back in the day, 16 years ago, when I started, I started by teaching Facebook marketing at the time that Facebook was the wild, wild west, and everyone and their mother was a social media expert overnight. And so if I looked around and thought, I want to teach Facebook marketing. But if I looked around, everyone felt like they were teaching Facebook. It felt like everyone was teaching it. But I just didn't let that stop me because I thought I only need a tiny sliver of the Internet to pay attention for me to make a living teaching this. And that's what I want you all to hear. You need a tiny sliver of the Internet to pay attention to you and to want to learn from you, for you to make incredible revenue with digital courses. So that's the first thing I want you to remember. The second thing is, all courses topics have already been done. There's nothing totally new or innovative in terms of what your topic is about. What's innovative or new or interesting is what you'll die on a hill for. So your point of view. So whether it be circuit training or project management or whatever it might be, it's been done before, but never by you and never in the way that you will deliver it with your stories, your voice, your experience. So you have to remember, we're not looking for a topic that's new, innovative, and never been done before. Actually, I love for you to create a course that's been done before, so it proves that it's needed in the world. So that's the second thing you want to think about. As long as you're solving a problem or meeting a desire, that's the first thing you want to think about. So when you think about what you want to teach, ask yourself, are people struggling with this? And do I have a solution for it? And right away, if you say, yes, that is a green light. I want you to keep moving forward. I also want to remind you that you can create a course on stage. So many different topics. So I mentioned circuit training and project management. But here are some topics that my most successful students have done really well with. So one of them, she's a dentist and she helps dentistry for moms. So moms that want to be dentists. So she has a course on that. Another one is writing and journaling to release pain. So journaling and writing is her topic, but she narrowed it down to release chronic pain. So it's like therapy meets creativity or home organization. That has been done before so many times. But one of my students, she just has a unique way of teaching it, her own experiences. She's a busy mom, so she has been thriving for that with that. Also, anything with teaching other teachers how to do things, dog training, cooking in Spanish, like, you name it, it's been successful. So I tell you all of these to say don't let that limit you thinking your topic's not interesting enough or other people have done it before. All I want is you to get specific with that topic. What are you going to solve and who are you going to solve it for? Stay in that lane and you have a green light to keep moving forward.
I love it. That will give so many people a green light that I'm sure have been stuck.
I hope so.
We'll talk ourselves out of it all day long otherwise. So thank you for sharing that.
Amen. Amen to that.
I love it. So, but in creating these courses, are there any mistakes you kind of see that people make that, that people should kind of avoid in this whole creation process?
Oh, absolutely. Okay. So the first mistake that I'm seeing more in 2025 than I'm seeing before is that new course creators think they need high production. Because if you look on social media or YouTube now, some people, yeah, they spent a lot of money on their studio and. And a lot of high production. They've also been in the game for many, many, many years. You cannot judge your first year as a course creator against someone who's been in it for 10 years. So the days of highly produced, polished courses, they are gone. So it if the mistake is to think you need to have great camera, special mics, a beautiful studio, you do not. And the people that know that are getting their courses out faster and they're seeing results where other people are just sitting on the sidelines, get scrappy. Allow your first iteration of Your course to be a little bit messy. If you saw my first course, you would have never said, that woman's going to make $120 million selling and creating digital courses. Never would you have said that about me. So just know, everyone starts out a little messy in the beginning. The people who win actually allow themselves to be a little bit messy in the beginning and still get it out into the world. So I want you to remember that we're not looking for perfect. We're not looking for polished. We're just looking for real. Real equals trust with your audience. Also, another mistake people make is they think they need to wait till they have a really big audience. You do not need a huge email list. You can do it with a small email list. Even fewer than 500 people on your list. So, quick story, I have a student, her name is Kate, and she created a course called the Editor Academy. And she teaches people how to start their own digital magazine. And so she had 70 people on her email list, and she made $7,500 pre selling something that wasn't even created yet, which is something I teach my students how to do. 70 people on her email list, $7,500 in pre orders. She went on to sell it and made over $100,000 over time. But she started small. Or another mistake people make is they think, well, the market's just too saturated. So what's saturated is bland info only. Only AI created courses. They are getting lost in the sea of noise instantly. But if you really are focused on getting your message out there and not worry about what everyone else is doing, but get it from your perspective, you're golden. Jessica, one of my other students, she teaches families how to declutter and organize their homes together. So she look, I'm going to die on that hill that I think you could do this as a family. The mom just doesn't have to do it. You can get your whole family to help. So she's in organization. She has a little perspective of, let's get your family to help you. And she was able to create an offer where she sold 697 courses at just $47. So she made great money. But she's proof that you don't have to have an expensive course to also make money. 697 courses at 47 bucks. Pretty good for sure. So these are some of the things that the mistakes I make really come from fear. Like, I've tried it and it failed. That's another thing, Lydia, a lot of my students who come into My world. They've already tried a digital course. They've already tried to get it out there, but it just hasn't worked. And you have to remember you want to follow someone who is willing to give you step by step, willing to show you what they've done, the mistakes they've made, the strategies that work. So finding someone to guide you, especially if it hasn't worked out the first time, is such a great idea to take away a lot of that overwhelm. I have a student, her name is Ganna. And she tried before she tried to create her course. She got it out into the world. Crickets. She was devastated, but she thought, I got to go back to the drawing board. So I helped her create a new framework for her course. And with that, she made $30,000 on her first structured launch. And then she was able to scale to six figures. So even if it doesn't work in the beginning, this is a great example of it can still work, my friend. It can still work.
It's 100% a journey. And truthfully, you don't learn without launching.
You don't. You're so right.
So even that story of somebody who failed the first time, like that was not a failure. That was a step that she had to go through to learn what was needed, what was missing, what maybe tweaks needed to be made it. She got that guidance from you, and look at the difference it made. And I tell people that all the time, there's no such thing as a failed launch. Right? You're either learning or you're earning or you're doing both. Right?
I love that. You're either earning or you're learning. That is so true. And you do not get to success by hitting it out of the park the first time out. I don't know anyone who's ever done that. You've got to have those stumbling blocks in order to get to where you want. But the only way you get to where you want is if you get started.
You have to get started. And so I told you it took me six years to get started. So I've been there. I've been in the wait, wait, wait. And I'm not ready. I don't know everything yet. You know, you have to have all your ducks in a row. No, I love that one meme that says, just pick up your ducks and run across the road anyway, no matter.
What'S in the row.
But yes. And so when I finally did make that decision you were talking about, I had a small list. I had zero People on my list. Zero. Yeah. I had connections, I had people I had built relationships with and other businesses and jobs, but I literally launched, did my first challenge with zero people on an email list, and that grew to my first 250 people. And from that launch, I got my first 97 students.
Oh, that's what I love to hear. Those are the stories to show somebody you do not have to have it all figured out to get started. And you are such a perfect example of that.
No. So I am just so glad I didn't stay stuck in that. So I encourage everybody, and sometimes I work with a lot of people when they launch, they don't get 95 students in their first launch, but they get two. And after working with those two people, they learn, and then they launch again. Now they have 20, and then they launch again. Now they have 100. I mean, it does grow over time. You just have to launch. You learn, you tweak, you fix, and you keep going. Got to keep going.
Yes. Amen to that.
So speaking of challenges, because, you know, I do love a challenge launch, and you do an amazing challenge. I've learned so much from being literally. I've been in your last five challenges that you've done, so I've been in many. I highly recommend them. You have one that literally is opening the same week. We are launching this podcast, and it's a challenge called Course Confident, and I'm going to share what I love about it, but I would love for you to share with everybody, like, what kind of sparked this whole idea of doing this challenge. How do you think it's helped people? I know for me, I loved the clarity that came from the decisions I was struggling to make, like, what should I call my course and what should I put in my course, and how am I going to find the people to buy it? And I just feel like course confident is one of the most amazing things. First steps or next step for aspiring course creators or any course creators that feels like I've launched, it hasn't worked, and I'm so excited that you do this, but what have you found to be the most beneficial for people?
So, yeah, I created Course Confident because it's so hard to get started. You don't know what you don't know. You're not really sure what the plan is or the first step to get going. So I created this bootcamp to say, okay, we're going to do this together. We're going to kickstart your first digital course or your next one that's going to be the successful one together. So what I do is I'm live in the bootcamp for an entire week, and I do three different trainings, plus a special masterclass at the end. Kind of wrap it all up and show you what it really takes to create and launch a digital course. So I'm going to do a live training on choosing your topic and making sure that you are validating it to get those green lights to move forward. There's a lot of insecurity imposter syndrome that comes along with choosing the right topic. Did I choose the right topic? Is this the one I should be teaching? Who am I to be teaching anything? It's just a lot comes with that. So we're going to nail down your topic and make sure that you understand how to validate it. So before you create it, you know people will pay for it. From there, we're also going to decide what should you price your course. I do a lot of what I call course math in my bootcamp to show you what's possible. And once you have your topic and you know who you want to serve and you understand what you want to price that course based on the transformation you're promising, we'll get into that in the bootcamp as well. You start to see what's possible. Wait a second. If I got a hundred people in and I'm only charging $100 for my course, that's actually a good chunk of change right out of the gate. This is actually doable. You do not need a huge audience to get started. I'm going to teach you. Speaking of, I also teach you how to build your audience, your email list, your audience on social media while you're creating your course, you can do both at the same time. One of the reasons a lot of people don't start their courses, they say, amy, I first need an audience. And I say, let's do both at the same time. So we're getting momentum. So essentially, the course Confident Bootcamp helps you kickstart your digital course journey with me. Along the way, holding your hand, taking you through step by step for absolute clarity and confidence to get started it really well.
I tell people all the time, if you don't jump into this boot camp, I don't know what you're waiting for because it will give you clarity. And that does bring the confidence for sure.
And I only offer it once a year. It's 47 bucks. It's one of the cheapest things I have online, and it's once a year. So you do not want to miss this, because then it goes away.
And I do have the link on the screen. I'll put it in the show notes below, but it's lydiamartin.info DCA and that actually takes you to a page where you're gonna see a link for Course Confident. You're gonna see some other amazing resources that Amy offers. There'll be a link to this podcast on that page, the podcast we're doing right now on the page. But it really is your great resource. Because what I love about Course Confident as well is I think some people are still like, is this really right for me? Is course creation right for me? Am I gonna be able to do the process? I'm sure many have probably heard of your program, Digital Course Academy, which, again, I highly recommend. It was so transformational for me personally. I've seen so many people grow through your program, and I know you'll talk about that in Course Confident. But what I love about the challenge is it really does give you those initial first steps, and you're going to know by the end of that, am I doing this right? Like, is this possible for me?
Absolutely. And. And maybe at the end you're like, you know what? Now that I learned about it, understand what it takes, I don't want to be a part of it. Most people are like, wait, I can do this. This feels very doable. My teaching style is very step by step, no stone left unturned. I don't assume that you know how to do all of this, so you'll feel mentored along the way, which is also something great when you're doing something new. But I also forgot to say that there's a. A huge component of community. So you get into a group of other people that are creating their first digital course or their first successful one, and hearing what they're doing, how they're doing it, sharing ideas, which gets you excited as well. So it's a really cool experience. It goes fast, it goes like that. But it's one of my most favorite things I do every year.
It's a ton of fun. I love being in the community every year. I do it because I just love being in the room with everybody.
I see people return even though they have successful courses like you. They're like, okay, I'm gonna do that again.
It's just so much fun because, you know, you get inspired when you're seeing other people and you see all the different just niches that are out there. And I love it because you meet Peers you meet, mentors you meet, people to connect with. I still have best friends to this day that I met in my first course. Confident Challenge. Yes. So thank you for that, Amy, for always creating an amazing space for us to connect with others. But I'm just so thankful that you jumped in today just to talk a little bit about AI. Just the amazing power of courses to transform the lives of others and truly it can transfer our lives. I mean, I am standing here today thanks to so much of what you shared with me and I just am so passionate about inspiration, inspiring other people to do the same thing. We live in a world today where you don't have to be stuck in a 9 to 5 anymore. You can really build something for yourself, for your family. It's just given us so many opportunities I could have never dreamed of. So thank you so much for the impact you've had in my life and I hope everyone will join us in courts. Confident.
I would love that. I absolutely love being here with you. And I just want to say, to wrap this up, the old way, of course, is it's gone. And that's a beautiful thing for you. Today's students, they want transformation, not just information. So if you continue to combine your own experiences with the right plan and you add support and accountability, your course isn't just going to sell in today's landscape. It will change lives. Every single one of you listening. You have a digital course in you. I can help you get started. Lydia is going to come on the journey with us. So I hope to see each of you in course Confident and and Lydia, thank you so much for your time. It's always a fun thing. It's always a fun situation to get to talk to you again.
