Four product leaders discuss group coaching versus one-on-one sessions. They say the real value is mutual support, hearing how others solve similar problems, and building a professional network you actually want to stay in touch with.
You know, Lynne, I just want one-on-one coaching. Is there really value in group?
What I love about the group session is you can rely on each other.
Everyone in product that's not super happy with their job, everyone in leadership who's not super happy, all have very similar struggles. We can share and empathize with each other. And that's just huge to not feel alone.
It was really nice to hear the perspectives of other people at a similar stage in their career too, across different industries even. And you can see different point of view. Sometimes they're creative ideas that you can bounce off each other.
We're all growing together, but at different paces and in different ways.
It was funny. I almost felt like I had new professional friends after a couple of weeks, and I feel very lucky to have them in my network now. And most of all, you know that you're not alone.
