9 Kitchen Hormones Disruptors

Nine common kitchen items disrupt your hormones and affect metabolism, mood, and fertility. The video identifies each disruptor and suggests safer alternatives to swap them out.
Your kitchen is making you sick without you knowing it. So here's the deal. You're eating healthy, working out, but still struggling with energy, weight gain, or even stubborn belly fat. What if I told you it might not be what you're eating, but what you're cooking with? Your kitchen is full, and I mean full, of hidden hormone disruptors and they're messing with your metabolism, mood and even fertility. The worst part, you use these things every single day without realizing the damage they're doing. Today I'm revealing the top nine kitchen hormone disruptors you need to ditch as soon as possible and stick around because number one is the most dangerous and almost every everyone has it in their home right now. So number nine, plastic food containers. You're eating plastic and it's messing with your hormones. The bad news is that most plastic containers and bottles contain BPA or even worse, bps, which mimics estrogen in your body. So what does this mean? It may cause weight gain, hormonal imbalances and even fertility issues. So what's the fix? Ditch the plastic and switch to glass, stainless steel or silicone for food storage. They have lots of those bags available now. So libreo talk. How much plastic is in your kitchen right now? I'd love to know in the chat below so that we can continue this conversation. So number eight, Teflon and non stick pans. Look, I know how convenient they are, but the toxic coating is actually destroying thyroid functioning. And those easy to clean nonstick pans, they're loaded with forever chemicals called pfas that never leave your body. So what happens? These chemicals wreck your thyroid leading to weight gain, fatigue and hormonal imbalances. The most obvious is the hormonal imbalances that occur. So better swaps use stainless steel, cast iron or ceramic pans instead. Think about throwing yours out today and going for safer versions. And you can see from the Environmental Working Group website what are some better options for you that still allow you to have the non stick concept. Number seven, plastic water bottles. So your water is full of chemicals. Plastic bottles leak hormone disrupting chemicals into your water, especially when they get warm. When you leave that bottle in the car, for example, what's the damage? These chemicals mess with your testosterone, estrogen and even your metabolism. We oftentimes see estrogen dominance with this issue. Better choice, switch to a stainless steel water bottle or glass water bottle. So who out there is drinking from plastic bottle every day? It might be time for an upgrade. Number six, canned foods. So what's hiding in that canned food? That you're eating. Most canned foods are lined with bpa, which actually seeps, believe it or not, into your food and mimics estrogen in the body. That's why we call it a hormonal. The hormonal impact that leads to weight gain, mood swings, and hormone imbalances over time. So what's a better swap? Choose BPA free cans or glass instead. A challenge for you is go to your pantry right now and see how many canned foods do I have that don't say BPA free? Number five. I know this is a hard one, but artificial sweeteners. Zero calories but major hormone damage. Aspartame, sucralose and saccharin are in diet sodas, sugar free snacks, and even healthy protein bars. So what do they do? They actually trick your body into releasing insulin that can wreck your metabolism and lead to weight gain and hormonal issues. Better swaps would be to use monk fruit, raw honey, coconut sugar, or even stevia. Drop a note in the bottom if you're done. And I mean done with artificial sweeteners. Number four, and this may surprise you. Vegetable and seed oils. So we call this the inflammation bomb. Because vegetable oils, canola, soybean and corn are loaded with what we call omega 6 fatty acids, and they trigger hormone imbalance as well as inflammat if you're eating too much. So what does this mean? It means a higher risk of PCOS or polycystic ovarian syndrome, low testosterone and a slower metabolism. So a better swap would be extra virgin olive oil, organic avocado oil, especially when you're using high heat or real butter or ghee. So what kind of oil do you use? And it may be time for an upgrade. Number three, and this will surprise you as well. Tap water. There's more than water in your water. Tap water is full of hormone disruptors, fluoride, chlorine, and even trace pharmaceuticals if you're on city water, not if you have a well. So what's the damage? It can lower testosterone, mess with your estrogen and slow metabolism. What would be a solution? Use a high quality water filter or reverse osmosis filter in your house. How many of you drink straight from the tap? Maybe time to rethink that. Number two, processed foods with soy. The sneaky estrogen booster. Soy is loaded with phytoestrogens, which can mess with your hormones big time, especially for men. Where is it? Hiding in fake meats, soy milk, protein bars, and processed snacks. Most of this is because it's not or it's GMO modified. So a better swap would be organic or fermented soy like miso or tempeh number one. I told you that would be the big one. Air fresheners and scented candles so your house smells great but your hormones are screaming. Scented candles and air fresheners release phthalates which disrupt your endocrine system once again. So what does this mean? It can lower testosterone levels, disrupt that estrogen again and even affect fertility. So better swaps would be use essential oil diffusers or be used wax candles instead. I know this one just surprised you the most. And who's ready to take a look to find other ways to use a diffuser in your house and essential oils? So final takeaways. Detox your kitchen today. I'd love to know which one shocked you the most in the comments. And the challenge for you now is to pick one thing from this list and swap it out. This week your hormones will thank you. And then each week after that you can perhaps try one more. Every couple of weeks, try one more. So hit like and subscribe for no more BS health tips that actually work.
