Valuable products. This is why, like essential fatty acids are brain food, because they're the right key to access that door. Or you can't do chemo in the brain because the chemo molecules are too big to get through. So smell goes right to the brain. You know, of our five senses, smell kind of has preferential access to the limbic system for safety. We smell food, we smell water, you know, we might smell fire, we smell predator odor. All of those things keep us safe. So you can use smell to kind of access parts of the limbic system and help calm yourself down and restore your function. Also our skin.
Fat soluble molecules can get through our skin. And this is where it gets really interesting because most people think like, oh, in order to get. If I hurt my wrist, say, and put like some kind of pain cream on my wrist, I know it makes my wrist feel better, but it's not necessarily working on my leg or my back. We think of topical application only helping with that one limited area, not having a systemic effect. Because in order to affect the whole system, it has to get into the bloodstream, travel through the heart and then be pumped out into the blood. What we forget is that we can use acupuncture points. There are all these basically energetic highway and messaging meridians in the body. And when we go for acupuncture, they're using needles to stimulate those points. You can also use essential oils to stimulate those points. For example, I like to put a stimulatory blend on the vagus nerve right here. It's a cloven line blend. I call it parasympathetic. By doing that, it immediately helps you shift into that calming state. It works like an acupuncture point that you can, then you don't need to pay however much and go to the clinician's office and sit on their table. You can, in your own home, flip a bottle and go like. And it helps shift your body into the right physiological state for you to feel calm.
And what about other blends? And also how does one know where to put them? So if somebody said, oh my God, this sounds so exciting to me, I'm going to try it because there's no side effects. How does one know kind of where in the body to use them and what other things? For example, what I know is that some of the essential oils also help with digestion. And how does that work?
Yeah, so to answer your first question, first of all, you can't do it wrong. You're not going to, you know, if you decide, I like it on my wrist. That's where I'm putting it. Great. Follow your intuition. Often that's the best. We give specific recommendations. We have them very, very detailed on our site vibrantblue oils.com if you buy something, you get tons of information including videos on how to use it. And to your point, there is no side effects. There are. Here's what I know. If you are kind of stressed all the time and your body is holding on to toxins and not detoxifying and you suddenly open up the floodgate and allow everything to come out, you might as, as the toxins are leaving, you might want to take a binder which makes sure that things that are mobilized in the gut leave the body. Because sometimes you can in kind of shifting into health too quickly. You can mobilize toxins and it's ultimately a good thing. But it's kind of like if you've been a couch potato for a while and you suddenly decide you're going to go lift like 50 pounds.
You want to.
Faster isn't necessarily better. Slow and steady wins the race.
But then to your point of other blends, basically what I've tried to do, I've realized, you know, there are a lot of great companies that sell a lot of great oils. A lot of them sell single oils and they say like, oh, buy all of the raw materials and blend it yourself. And for some people that makes them so happy. And for some people they're like, what if I do it wrong? I don't know what I'm doing and they get very anxious. And so what I've tried to do is take that anxiety out of the equation. I have formulated blends that balance different organ systems and regions of the brain and they're done for you. You buy it. I've already blended it. I've already added.
Fractionated coconut oil to dilute it for you. I tell you exactly where to use it. I'm a good fit for people that want the ready made solution and I just take the anxiety out of the product. In my book, Essential Oils to Boost the Brain and Heal the Body, I share my recipes. If you have 100 of your own oils at home and you want to blend it yourself, I'm happy to help you do that. I'm just trying to meet people where they're at and kind of invite them to consider that oils can be used in addition to obviously healthy lifestyle habits like moving your body, getting adequate sleep, eating a balanced diet. It's not a magic bullet. If you're a celiac and you're addicted to pizza. It might help you manage the symptoms, but you're not going to really get better until you change your diet.
So let's talk a little bit about brain fog, and then I'm going to get back to nutrition, because I really want to really emphasize that because it's such an important part. One of the things that I've seen in my patients also, I experienced it as well when I had Covid is enormous brain fog. And also, what about mood pieces? Because again, as we mentioned before, some people don't have anxiety, but they have depression. And how does it effectively work for those two things?
Yeah, you know, so much of brain fog is brain inflammation. And also, you know, basically our whole body. You know, like, think about your house, right? You bring food in, you cook it. There's some waste. Your body eliminates waste. Basically, what you want to make sure is that access is open so the good things can get in and the garbage can leave. And as long as that's working, you're golden. What sometimes happens is that it's hard for the garbage to leave. So let's unpack that.
What?
When does the garbage leave the brain? It's while you're sleeping. There is a part of your lymphatic system in your brain called your glymphatic system that really functions when you're asleep. Because when you're awake, your brain needs to be alert. It doesn't really have time to clean house. So when you're sleeping, it shrinks a little bit to let that lymphatic system flow through and clean it out. Make sure that it's taking all the toxins out. Because if the toxins stay in the brain, what happens? That alerts your immune system, which then turns on inflammation. And it's inflammation that can present as feelings of fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, depression. So you need to make sure you're sleeping. We have some oils to both help you fall asleep and stay asleep. And then the next step is that the garbage needs to leave your head and kind of travel down your neck, through your body, and out into the toilet. So the bottleneck often is the neck, because there's a lot going on in the neck. You've got your musculature, your skeletal structure, your lymphatics, your nervous system. And it can get, you know, it can be a little bit like being in the middle seat between two linebackers on the airplane. Like, good luck putting your arm on the armrest.
You have done.
Oh, yeah, we've all had that experience where it's like totally. You know, I once had a six hour flight where I'm like, how small can I make myself? You know?
Exactly. Oh, my God, it's so true.
Yeah, but think of your poor neck. It's got this garbage that's trying to come down and the pressure. And often it's the lymphatics. And that's one thing. Your heart pumps blood. There's nothing that really moves your lymphatic. And this is why movement is so critical. And anything you can do to support it is fabulous. We have a blend of oils. If you think of what oils do in the plant, they're moving fluid. You've got the roots deep in the ground, you've got the leaves, sometimes hundreds of feet in the air. And oils are helping to move things through, through the body by either vasodilating things or kind of helping with directional energy. So we have a lymph blend that you can apply along the sides of the neck. What's interesting is lymph does not flow evenly. It flows more aggressively on the left side of the body. And a really good check for anyone who's listening. One of the bottlenecks is your clavicles, kind of your collarbone point. So if you just gently take your fingers and kind of feel here on the clavicles and just give a really gentle massage. And if that feels tender in any way, don't worry. This is just a very early, like, indicator that this is a good area to give a little love to. Right? To gently, you know, massage it when you're waiting in line at the supermarket or, you know, wherever watching a show. And then we have some oils that you can apply that also help with movement. Castor oil is a great natural, topical, you know, anti inflammatory. It's a little messy. Oils are less messy. But you know, just working on that, what you're gently. You know, I have a daughter who had very long hair and of course it gets tangled. So, you know, we would take the comb and start at the bottom and kind of work out the tangles because if you start at the top, it hurts. They're very quick to let you know they don't enjoy that. So this is just a nice way to kind of untangle your lymphatic system so you make sure, you know, your body is a hydraulic system. If there is congestion in the lymph in the liver and the gallbladder and any downstream organ, it backs up like the traffic jams. Right? I live in Seattle. Tacoma and Olympia are always traffic jams. But it's not just when you hit Tacoma. Sometimes it's like 30 miles before. So we're just trying to use oils to ensure that we can drain fluid and pressure and all these things from the brain.
That's our lymph blend. We have a circulation blend that, you know, helps to vasodilate and make sure that oxygen gets into your brain. When you don't have oxygen in your brain, that can be brain fog. That can be brain fatigue. It could be the kind of thing like, you know, driving makes you tired, reading makes you tired. Anything that requires kind of mental focus, you fatigue more easily. That's often hypoxia or lack of oxygen in the brain. So anything you can do. In fact, there's amazing research on black pepper. Karazian adds it to all of his supplements because it helps to open up the vasculature so the remedies can get into your system more quickly.
And then just helping. It's really what I am really trying to do, and I believe most of us are trying to do. I think that when the body is in balance, it heals itself. So we're just trying to help the body return to balance and really identify where does it fall out of balance. It falls out of balance with stress and getting kind of stuck in sympathetic dominant. It falls out balance with sleep, because if you're not sleeping, those natural processes, restoration and regeneration that occurs during the nighttime hours don't happen. It falls out of balance with drainage. You know, your extracellular matrix, your lymph, your liver, your gallbladder, you know, garbage kind of. It has to leave the cell, so it has to be safe to leave the cell. Then it goes into kind of the fascia, then the lymph, then the blood, then the liver, then the gallbladder, then the gut, then the toilet. At any point, if it's congested, it can back up in the wrong direction. We're just trying to help the body stay in balance so that the good things get in and the bad things get out. And then a lot of times, the symptoms fall off to the wayside.
There's a couple of things you said that I want to reiterate for people listening, and that is that we don't ever talk about the lymph system unless somebody's got lymphatic or metastatic changes. And we need to do something way before that. As we get older, we're very toxic. We've been exposed to many things. Even just learning some of the ways to do lymph drainage. We Call that and then use essential oils would be a fantastic way to do detoxification because really, our health and our longevity relies on detoxification. The food that we're eating and the thoughts that we think, basically. So it's just really important also to reiterate how important food is. Food is the most powerful drug we have, and if we could put it in a bottle, it would cost million of dollars because it's so effective if you change your diet. So lots and lots of color, lots of greens, organic, staying away from processed foods can change one's life. So you put that together with the essential oils and detox, and we're in for an amazing different kind of life. So thank you so much for doing this kind of work because I think people really, really need to have essential oils. Because we have a society right now that is angry, frustrated, anxious, depressed, and, you know, we need what you're offering because we need more people to learn how to feel less anxious, feel less tired, have a better detox system.
My daughter is 17, and so a lot of her friends have not so great habits when it comes to anxiety. And we're trying to give them an alternative. Right. You know, like for my age group, you know, they'll reach for a glass of wine, and I'm like, well, maybe, you know, try an oil first and see if you need it before you reach for your cigarette or your wine or whatever your habit that you wish you did less of is.
So I know that you're offering the people listening some special offers. How can they get that? And how the heck can they learn more about you? Because honestly, what you have to offer people is such a gift.
We created with the book, we have a free gift that goes into a lot more depth about the parasympathetic nervous system and 25 ways you can activate it, including a lot of free things, you know, like using your tongue like a paintbrush and painting the roof of your mouth. If you go to boostthebrainbook.com gift that will give you that free download and great information. And then I believe in the book. We have a special $15 offer for the parasympathetic blend. And if you have any questions, I've been doing this for 10 years and I write a weekly blog, so vibrantblues.com has great information. You can always email us at infoibrantblue oils.
Awesome. Thank you. So one of the things I am gonna do is to do an email with the information again, because I love your products. I support. You know, I only support and do affiliates with people that I just think their products are just amazing. So I'll be doing that probably in the next week or two as well, Jodi, so that people can learn a little bit more about it and look at some of the offers that you have and also some of the products you have. So thank you so much for doing the work that you are. We desperately need you, and I'm so, so grateful that you're around.
