Hey, Mark Kohler here, doing another Main street cruise. I'm driving my daughter's Jeep here, so I hope the lighting and sound is just right. Thanks for watching this. For just a quick minute. I get the chance to talk to entrepreneurs around the country every day and share hopefully some wisdom and advice. And so when I can shoot a little video while I'm driving here and share something that might help you that I've already talked about with a client or two over my many consultations, I think it's powerful. So what I wanted to talk about was patience versus willing it into action and just getting it done. And I've written a couple weekly messages on this recently. And there's a dichotomy between the two statements of paradox. For one example, I might say to a client, be patient. You know, it's going to work out. And for a lot of business owners, that's the message they need to hear. They're frustrated. Why isn't my business making what it should be? I really want it to be more successful. And I'll say, be patient. It's going to take time. That's normal. It's okay. It's not the end of the world. Then on the other hand, I've got clients that are maybe a little bit lackadaisical, are expecting it to just happen and they need to will it into action. They got to just make it happen. And as an entrepreneur, that's a very common situation occurrence. You got to do it. You just got to make it happen. Last week I worked until 2:30 in the morning one night because I got to get it done. I got to make it happen. And I guess the point I want to make on this little cruise here is that they're different. They are not paradoxes. It seems like they are. Well, Mark, how can you make it happen and be patient? They're two different things. Patience is letting your business percolate. Sometimes it's got to take time to just grow, build market share. You're doing all the right things. And by not giving up, you're willing it into action. But then you also have to be determined. You have to be tenacious. You have to not want to give up. And I don't think that's different. In fact, I think that is patience. You're working so hard that you know it's going to work out and you're being patient, but you're not giving up. So my point is both of those characteristics are an important trait of a successful entrepreneur. Being patient. But man, just being determined and making it happen, guys. You can do it. I'm an entrepreneur like you. It's hard. It's going to be hard, and it's not going to happen overnight. But don't give up and do not quit pushing. Keep pushing hard to make it happen and be a little patient along the way. Thanks.
