Why You NEED To Become A Tax Advisor... NOW

Mark Kohler explains why accountants and bookkeepers should shift to tax advisory work, which commands higher fees, requires fewer clients, and builds more wealth. He covers the three essentials: marketing and sales, education, and systems. He also walks through client onboarding, pricing models, and answers questions on entity formation and tax deductions.

Everybody, Mark Kohler, here we are talking about why and how to become a tax advisor. Now, you can be a business owner and you don't have faith in your accountant, your cpa, your enrolled agent, your tax lawyer. And you're just like, I got to captain my ship. And damn straight you do. You've got to kind of know your plan. It doesn't mean you're going to do the tax return. It doesn't mean you need to know the all the nuances of how to do your taxes. But you got to be the captain of your ship and be able to know if your accountant is screwing things up. Now, I'm going to help you understand why and how to do this as an advisor, as a cpa, enrolled agent, attorney, how you can solve so many problems in your life and your practice by becoming a tax advisor. Now, my name is Mark Kohler. I'm a CPA attorney, best selling author, I've got my podcast, doing regular blogging and radio shows and speaking around the country. And I love small business. I have always been an entrepreneur. I want everyone in my universe of friends and family and clients to really build their American dream and embrace entrepreneurship. It's so, so powerful. There's now over 50 million side hustles and side gigs in America because people have to make ends meet. They got to make ends meet. And after Covid, a lot of people realized, oh my gosh, I can create some income working from home or a little side hustle. But now you got a schedule C, you might have a 1065, you might have a S corporation, an LLC. What do you have? Well, how are you using it to save taxes? The number one cost in your life for taxes. So let's, let's tackle it. Okay, so let's get to it. If you are an accountant, a bookkeeper, an enrolled agent, you do not have to be a CPA to be a kick ass tax advisor. Excuse my French. I want you to feel the energy and power of my passion on this point. Now you CPAs out there, I'm a CPA. Been there, done that. Love it. Been a partner in an accounting firm for 15 years. Great. But I've made every mistake in the book too. I take clients I shouldn't. I don't bill for time. I do free consults and I have. And it took me years to figure out how to build an advisory practice. But I've cracked the code and I have a tax advisory program I'm going to tell you more about as well. But I want to give you some real value right now in this live broadcast. If you have a question for me, you as I'm going through this topic of why and how, please type it in your portal there. I don't know if you're listening on YouTube or Facebook or wherever, type it down below and I'm going to try to pick up those questions as we move through this. Now, again, if you're a CPA or an attorney, you can go next level. You can change the equation. You can get out of the misery. You know the problem? The accounting industry is on fire. So, so many accountants are frustrated and burned out and they want a change in their life. There's so many enrolled agents and accountants and bookkeepers that have imposter syndrome and they don't feel like they can do it. I'm here for you people. We got to bring it all together. We can be one big happy family. Yeah. A CPA or a lawyer might charge a higher hourly rate and be able to dive deeper. Maybe they are going to do audits and do financial accounting, work for big companies and do public accounting or corporate accounting. That's fine. But when we're on the front lines doing small business America, Main Street America needs a decent tax advisor. And that doesn't mean CPA all the time. It doesn't mean tax lawyer all the time. Now I'm those and we've got a great firm and we're going to help clients. But I'm one guy. I got a firm with 60, 80 employees. We're trying to help as many people as we can. So last year I launched my Main Street Certified Tax Advisor program. We have now over 400 advisors in the country and we're going to double it here in the next six months. Again, we want the industry to change. We want accounting to be freaking awesome and people embracing it. The recipient, the business owner and the advisor providing it. Okay, now why? Why? I'm going to come back to the business owner. But for you people out there that are practicing in the tax industry, let me tell you why. I've got two reasons why. It reduces your stress and four other bonuses. You ready? Here's the two. Being a tax advisor reduces your stress in two ways. You make more money and you have fewer clients. That's it. You can work for fewer clients and make more money. Do you think that's going to reduce your stress? Been there. Yes, it will. You know it. Now here's how. Four bonuses. Number one, you're going to provide services that create more value for your client. You're going to change that mindset of going from transactional to advisory. Now, you're still going to quarterback transactions. You're going to still make sure the tax returns get done, the bookkeeping gets done, the payroll gets done. And you may outsource it. That's fine. Doesn't mean you need to build a big old firm. But you got to quarterback it. An advisor is a quarterback. You can't just say, oh, I'm going to give advisory. Go somewhere else to figure out your tax return. That's not going to work. You know it's not going to work. Well, I'm sick of transactions. Fine, outsource it. Bring on team members to do the transactional work while you build the business with the advisory. I teach you how to do this. I've done it. So number the next one is I want you to provide more value, which, oh my gosh, it's going to make you feel so good. More money, fewer clients. And you actually feel great because you're providing more value to the people you're serving. Next. You enjoy what you do in being an advisor is pretty cool. When you get on a phone call, a zoom call or in class situation and you're teaching a client how to save taxes, they light up, they love you, they want you, they're begging for you. So this is the beauty. You enjoy what you're doing instead of just kicking out returns. And gosh, there's so much. Do you want to just make money through April 15th, September 15th, you know what I'm saying? Maybe October 15th and then you're starving for three months or maybe that's when you vacation. That's no lie. We need to moderate the cash flow, moderate the workflow. You can do that with an advisory practice. Next you're going to get more respect. I know many of us as accountants don't feel respected. People expect free advice. All they want is can you tell me how to do this or do this to do my tax return, blah, blah, blah. When you're an advisor, your clients are starving to talk to you because they know you're going to create value every time you open up your mouth. Now that means you got to learn some strategies. You may be Mark, what do you I got 12 modules, 70 topics, 40 hours of training just to become a tax certified tax advisor. And then we meet twice a week for an hour to an hour and a half with over 120 professionals with me every week, live twice throughout the year. We just did 100 trainings this year, twice a week Helping people feel the confidence. No more imposter syndrome. You get respect. Last benefit. And there's more. There's more. You build wealth. It's not just about making more money every month. You're building wealth because you're building value in a practice that can be sold. You know how many accounts around the country are walking away from practices because they can't find someone to buy their book? A transactional bullcrap business. I, I know, I've been there. When you have an advisory practice, it's ongoing, consistent revenue in a sustainable practice, even if you're outsourcing a bulk of the work. But you're quarterbacking, you're buying rental properties, you're buying your own building, you're building your 401k. When you have a successful practice as an advisor, you are building wealth. When you're building wealth, you're a better advisor, you're a better partner, you're a better parent, you're a better friend, you're a better daughter or son. When you're an advisor, you're living your freaking dream. And it's doable. You can do it. I have the equation. I know how to become a tax advisor. And I'm Teaching enrolled agents, CPAs, accountants, attorneys, every week on how to do this. And it is blowing up and the tribe is loving it. You can learn. Google it, check it out. Call any of the people in my program. It's out there. The price, what you get, how it works, there's complete transparency. My price goes up January 1st because this year was our beta year and we proved it was doable. And our attrition rate is less than 1% because people are staying because they're frickin realizing it's the best certified tax advisor program in the country. All right, now how do you do it? I said we're going to talk about why and how. All right, look, I got three pages of tips that I'm doing on social media right now. Let's see. Okay, I'll just pick one. All right, how you do this first one. I can't even go through all these. You got to subscribe to me on social media. And I'm going to be kicking these out the next eight days before between now and the first of the year. Be patient in the transition your clients take. I know many of you have a transactional practice. Becoming an advisory practice doesn't happen overnight. When I'm teaching my tax advisors, you find out it's really kind of a three year process because you're going to be transitioning your current client base over to advisory. And you're going to keep some as transactional. Others, you're going to transition slowly but surely with pitching your advisory program and pricing. And I give you engagement letters. I teach you how to price it. Be patient. Now I need to sidetrack. I want to talk to you business owner, if you're still a business owner. Listening. God bless you. Because, you know, taxes are that important. The number one cost in your life are taxes. And no one's talking about it because it's boring or whatever. I love it. I think it's fun. People come to me at the dinner parties. They're not running away from me. They're like, mark, save me money. I can't even get in a hot tub and say, I'm a tax lawyer. All of a sudden there's 20 people in there going, how do I save taxes? And they're like, holy crap, why isn't my accountant telling me this? So you business owners out there, be the captain of your ship. I have 10, 20, 30 business owners right now in my monthly program just learning how to be a better tax advisor so they can fire and hire the right accounting, the right tax advisor, because you are your best advisor. First, you can't pay someone enough to track your crap every week, every month, every year. You got to be the captain. Then you hire good people. All right, I'm going to go to another one. Ooh, this is good. I kind of call this the trifecta. Did we say we could go whiteboard or not? We did. We can. We can go whiteboard. Okay, this is my trifecta. How to become a tax advisor. Ready, people? You're going to love this. It's based on three things. Marketing and sales, education and systems and procedures. You want to be good tax advisor, you've got to have all three of these. This is your trifecta to be a tax advisor. Now let's explain this. You could have awesome marketing and sales, and they're two different things. Getting leads. What do we say, Jack? You call it get, reach, and then invite, collect. You got to invite and reach people. Then you got to collect them as a client. You got to bring them in. That's all. We teach a whole section on that in our training program. But if you get them in the door and you have a phone call with them and you don't have 35 different strategies to share on that call, and I'm not talking about putting money in a frickin IRA, that's one of the 35 or you know, sell your stock at a loss. You want to go through the top five on the Forbes magazines list right now that are just stupid. I have 30 year end tax strategies that are legit, practical and actually move the needle. Go look at my content. I got crap all over my YouTube and my podcast helping people. I give it away. I'm transparent on all these strategies. But you want to learn how to implement it and believe in it and understand it. You got to get trained. You've got to have the education so that when you're on that call with your client, you're like this. You have the answers that fast. That's getting trained so you can have great marketing and sales and, and if you don't have anything to deliver on that zoom call, it's not going to happen. Then you get on that zoom call and you're like, okay, we're going to, I'm going to make you an advisory client. I'm going to help you out. This is going to be great. And then your system suck. And you're not collecting revenue properly. You're not delivering the product properly. Your calendar is jacked up. You're not making your phone calls, you're not returning your emails. You're not delivering the product. If you don't have good systems and procedures, you, you're, you're, you're dead in the water again. Oh, but you've got great systems and procedures and you know all this, but you suck at marketing. Okay, now we got a problem there too, right? All three work together. And so in my advisory program teaching people how to be an advisor, we're spending time in our module 13 on marketing and sales systems and then 12 modules on education to help you learn these 80 strategies. I'm shooting new videos during the holidays every year. So I want to make sure that everybody has all these. That means whiteboard off. Thank you. I want to get back. So I want to make sure that I'm always shooting new content for you guys. More and more education. Thank you, Jack. Thanks, Brianne. My studio is awesome. They are just great. Okay, let's go to another one. All right, here's the next one. Having a procedure to onboarding a client. This is how you become a good tax advisor. The words free consultation never come about our out of our mouths. We do not provide that at Main Street Tax Pros. My Main Street Tax pros do not give free consultations. We do a discovery call. You do a discovery call. 20 to 30 minutes. Maybe you or I like Your assistant, you're someone on your marketing, your sales team, or even an executive assistant, does the discovery call and then you come on board. Number two in this process, discovery call and then onboarding and comprehensive consult. You're going to teach them the trifecta of ordinary income, passive income, and a trust and a tax return, which I teach constantly. Many of you are already followers of mine. You know, the trifecta is incredible. It's cop, it's trademarked, it's there. I'm out there teaching it, been teaching it for years. You're going to teach that to your clients. You're going to onboard them with 30 strategies. You're going to build a diagram for them. You're going to build a plan for the year, and you're going to onboard them from 500 to $1,500 or more or less. It's up to you. I don't tell people what to price, but you better be at least 500, and I'd like it around a grand. You're going to spend a couple hours going through their tax return and spending time with them. And then if you like them and the onboarding and they like you, then you pitch your advisory services. That's the third step. The advisory services are going to be a monthly or quarterly call. It's going to be supervising and getting their tax returns done, supervising and getting their bookkeeping done, and supervising or getting their payroll done. And you're going to. I teach you how to price that into a monthly model based on the month of the year they come on board. Now, you may be. They may be paying you to do the current tax return, but as soon as those are done, they switch to a monthly. So by the end of the year, the tank is full for the next tax season. So you're going to. It takes transition. Like I was saying, it's got to be patient because you're going to bring them around. So when it's tax season next year, they've already paid for their tax return. They're paying monthly. That's what clients want. They want a monthly call or quarterly call and a monthly payment. Books are done, payroll's done, tax returns done. And I actually have a strategy session with someone that picks up their freaking phone call and actually returns their email. That's an advisor, people. And your income goes like this. Your client satisfaction goes like this. Oh, hallelujah. You're living the dream, baby. That's being a tax advisor. One more, Jack. Should we do it? Any good questions out there? Okay, I'll throw out another one. You have a good engagement letter. If you're going to be a good tax advisor, you got to have a good engagement letter. Expectations are critical. You're going to have expectations of what you're going to provide for a client, expectations of what they want. No, they can't call you 24 7. No. They don't get free advice. Yes. You return your calls. Yes. You return your emails. Yes. You're going to take care of these things and give them strategies. No. Are you going to take a call on a weekend? Unless there's someone's in jail, you're going to be really, really clear about what you do and you're going to have a quality engagement letter. Next, you're going to build a team. Now, your team may be in house, or it could be third party. You might be outsourcing tax prep, bookkeeping and payroll, or you might bring in a house. A lot of my tax advisors at the basic level, if they want to build an advisory practice, they've got four people involved. Ready? Let's go. Whiteboard. I'll just show you. This is your basic structure. So at the top of the structure is our tax advisor. And they're going to be operating themselves as an S corporation. So they're an S corp, and they're going to have four people helping them execute. If you go in house or you can third party, they're going to have their executive or administrative assistant, whatever you want to call it, executive assistant, administrative assistant. At the bare minimum, the first step to success in your practice is having an assistant. They're going to be doing your scheduling, your discovery calls, your billing. You're running this, running that, ordering stuff, paying bills. Da da da da da da da. You cannot be caught doing any of this work. You need to be making money. So you're going to have an executive or administrative assistant number two. You're going to have someone in charge of bookkeeping, your bookkeeping department or accounting services. And this is going to be a person that doesn't prep tax returns. They are a QuickBooks Pro and they are going to be providing the bookkeeping services for your clients. Now, you might outsource that. You might use a third party for it. That's cool. That's cool. But you got to quarterback it because your clients want to make sure that you are overseeing this. You're overseeing it, and they're going to pay you monthly to take care of it. And then you're going to pay this third party. You're going to adjust your Monthly advisory service price if their frequency of services goes up. Next, you're going to have a payroll person or you're going to have a gusto or an ADP relationship, and you're going to be using or whoever. And you're going to be using a third party or an internal person to handle the payroll of your clients. So we've got bookkeeping, payroll, and of course, tax prep. And you're going to train someone for tax prep. I love universal accounting. I've got a great relationship with them. They're training my tax advisors team to prepare taxes. Or you third party it. I don't care. But again, you're going to be overseeing it and you're going to have a budget for this and your client's going to be paying you monthly. And then you're going to be handling their services through four relationships, in house or out of house. That's how it works. All right, Jack, I'm going to say one last tip here. Any questions? Nope. Okay. Do you want to throw one out? I've got a couple.
Okay. Robert, Data Warrior asks, I have a side hustle but don't have an LLC formed. Can I still take advantage of tax deductions? And if not, can I get an LLC before December 31st and put everything I made in there?
I love it. First name again?
Robert.
Robert. Robert says he had a side hustle in 2023, and he's like, Holy crap, I don't have an LLC. I don't get any tax write offs. Robert, Bullcrap. You can take every freaking write off. You're gonna love it. You do not have to have an LLC for tax savings, people. LLCs do not save taxes. Newsflash. LLCs do not save taxes. Now when you start making more money, we might convert it to an S corporation, which will save taxes. And I would love you to have an LLC for protection and the ability to convert to an S corp. But Robert, you do not have to have an llc. I'm gonna have you get your crap together, get organized. You're gonna. And if you want a tax pro to help you on your team, go to markjkohler.com and up at the top tax pro network. You can hire one of my tax pros. I don't make any money off my tax pros. You can build a relationship with them. I have tax pros from New Jersey to Miami to Texas to California to Alaska. Hire one that works for you. Young, old, male, female, big firm, little firm. You don't have to have a local Tax pro. Someone that knows what you're doing. So Robert, engage a tax pro on my network. Start writing down all of your expenses for the year. I want to go through all your credit cards, your debit cards, cash, whatever. And we're going to try to cough up every write off related to your small business and you get a write off and then I'm going to have you meet with my lawyers and get your LLC set up for the new year. And I'm not talking about frickin legalzoom. I'm talking about a real lawyer that helps you design it, that makes sense to you. And our fees are equivalent to that of LegalZoom where a real law firm that doesn't take advantage of people and you talk to a real lawyer. Please people don't go out there and use some company service that's not a lawyer. Oh, we have a lawyer in the back office. You say I want to talk to a lawyer. Oh well we don't provide that. Then I'm going to go where a lawyer works. Don't just listen to some influencer that's going to tell you to go get your entity set up with a, in a, in a cubicle in Nevada or somewhere. Talk to a real law firm. We're here for you. My information is down below. KKOS lawyers.com youm can get a tax pro@markjkohler.com we, we are not going anywhere. I've been doing this for 20 plus years. My reputation is I guard it religiously and dogmatically I'm people. We won't, we won't let you down. Next question.
Adult supervision asks to become a tax advisor would I need to be an attorney, EA or cpa?
No. Anybody can be a tax advisor. I'm trying to get college students that are in marketing and finance and management programs to get become a tax advisor and start helping people with their taxes and quarterbacking, tax prep, payroll, bookkeeping, you can do all that. You don't have to be an EA or a CPA or attorney. Now do I want you to work towards though? Absolutely. But you can start making money right now. Half of the advisors in my program are working towards EA and CPA and they've already doubled their income, tripled their income. I have people come on my training every week going Mark, you changed my life. Because they're now knowing how to build clients and help them and impact them. You do not have to be an EA or cpa. First get started. I'll hook you up under the training to be an EA and a cpa, if that's where you want to go. Love it, Jack.
Okay, Sam Berger asks, do you have to file a FinCEN report for DBA or sole prop?
No, the FinCEN. By the way, people, if you don't know this, there's a new sheriff in town come January 1st, and his name is FinCEN. It ain't Wyatt Earp. It's FinCEN. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. It's part of the Treasury Department. It's the little brother, little sister of the IRS you've never heard of before. But they've been there. They've always been checking bank accounts of people that open bank accounts. Well, guess what? Come January 1st, everybody with an LLC or a corporation, small business owners, there's a few exceptions. They're only for big companies. You're not going to get it. I'm not going to get it. You have to file your LLC with the federal government of who owns it. Your home address, your social, your date of birth, everything. It is privacy protected from the public. But the feds are going to have it, and they already have your tax return. Don't freak out, but you have to file that with FinCEN or it's a $500 a day penalty. $500 a day? This starts January 1st. The law was passed two years ago, and everybody's been ignoring it. Not us. We. We've been gearing up 20 employees to help people file their FinCEN reports. Starting January 1st, you don't file. 500 a day. Two years in prison, $10,000 fine. Buckle up. FinCEN's in town. Now. We take care of this@our mainstreet business.com. mainstreetbusiness.com you can go there right now and get registered to have your LLC taken care of, your state registration, your minutes every year. You should be doing that anyway. 200 bucks a year. Done. Done. 200 bucks a year. Check it out. Mainstreetbusiness.com but for a DBA or a sole prop, that's not an LLC. You're just a DBA. Sole prop. No fence and report. By the way, if you're a DBA or sole prop, you better have a good reason why you're not an llc. We can talk. All right, next question.
Okay. Alfred asks, any tax planning, slash social Social Security planning software recommendations.
Any tax planning or Social Security planning software? No, you don't need it. I don't believe in any of that. Let me tell you why. Social Security, you go to SSA.gov and do your projected Social Security benefits and damn. Do not try to get Social Security. The minute you're eligible, the federal government will tax it and they'll increase it by the longer you wait. I don't want you taking Social Security till you're 70. The government's trying to give you more money for Social Security. The longer you wait, they're going to tax you if you take it too soon. And all the math and all the equation is super simple. It's wait till you're 70, go to SSA.gov to find out how much you're going to get. Easy answer there. I have a chapter in my book on this for me, in my books. So social and I don't. We need to have these up here. Can you grab those? I don't care if you jump from the camera. Here we go. Here's my books on this. I have a whole book in Business Owner's Guide to Financial Freedom. Whole chapter on Social Security planning. Read it. It's going to tell you what I just said. It's simple, it's easy, it's straightforward. You want to do a Social Security plan, Contact my co author, Randy Luebke. His contact information is in the book Lifetime Paradigm. He'll do a Social Security consult with you, and he's going to tell you, go to SSA.gov, type your info in, find out what your benefits are going to be, and wait till you're 70. It's that easy. Now, tax planning software, there is. I know there's competitors out there that have a tax planning software program. I've had certified advisors go there and go, it's great. But I plug it in the software and I don't know what it means. What good is software if it tells you to put your kids on payroll, but you don't know how to put your kids on payroll? What good is software? It tells you to go buy a vehicle before you're in so you can do bonus depreciation 179, but you don't know how to do it. Every one of my strategies, I teach how to do this, people. You want to learn more? Tomorrow I'm doing a Q and A. We just decided before I went live. Tomorrow, I'm doing a Q and A. Answering questions. That's all I'm doing is answering questions. You can register with the link down below. It's going to be a zoom call with me private. It's not going to be out on YouTube or Facebook or anywhere. It's a private zoom call. No, there's no Cost. Jump on. And I'm going to answer questions about my tax advisor Pro network. The cost. Why, how, how it's going to make you more money, how you're going to be less stressed, how you're going to love life. It's the secret to life. Tomorrow you can ask questions. I'll give you all the answers. It's tomorrow. And when you join the program, you get all my books. Tax and legal playbook. Financial freedom. What your CPA isn't telling you my calendar for the year. It's in print right now. The 2024 calendar people. I want to see you succeed come tomorrow. Check it out. There's no requirement, by the way. My prices go up January 1st. This was my beta year, remember? I was figuring it out this year over delivering. I'm going to keep over delivering. And the prices go up January 1st. You got to come check it out. It's going to go up by $2,500. The price goes up in 10 days. So if you want to learn more about it tomorrow, click down below, get registered. Just come to the Zoom call. No pressure. I'm going to answer questions. I'm full transparency. Maybe even we'll do some Christmas trivia. I don't know. Okay, next question.
Jack, you're gonna love this one. Kelly asks if I already have a Florida LLC and Ein for rentals, but I don't have an operating agreement. Was going to use Rocket Lawyer. Good idea or no single owner.
That's great. Now here's the thing. When you start going to websites and I've got to be careful what I say, I don't want to get a defamation letter in the mail and a lawsuit. When you start going to websites where you start trying to play your own lawyer or download template documents, you get what you pay for. An operating agreement for your LLC is a legal document. How are you structured and why? Let me show you. When you meet with one eyed lawyers, you get a trifecta. Let's go to the whiteboard. I'll show you what a trifecta is. There any way to get rid of that box up there is driving me crazy. Okay, so this is what a trifecta looks like. Thank you. When I meet with a client and this is trademarked. I've been teaching this for years. The bottom is your revocable living trust or your 1040 tax return. All the water flows downhill. This is where all your money's going is down to your 1040. So for all of you with a little side hustle, you might Be over here with a DBA or a sole prop. It goes to your 1040. After all your write offs, you might have an LLC down to your 1040. You might have graduated to an S corp. Many of you already need to be an S corporation. If you're making more than 40 grand a year, you need to be an S corp. Go watch my videos that close down here. This is your operation side. This is your short term income side. Over here is your long term income, your assets or your investment income. Now, our caller. What's her name?
Kelly.
Kelly. Kelly's got a rental property in Florida with a Florida LLC and no guts. She has no guts. She doesn't. Not her. But her LLC has no operating agreement, no minutes. It's a mess. If she was to get audited tomorrow or get into a lawsuit, that it'd be worth that. If you don't have the LLC pieces and parts, it's not really an llc. Go to court. Good luck. Been there, done that. It's called discovery. All right, so what we want to do is clean up this LLC and use a law firm to diagram your trifecta. When you meet with one of my lawyers, we build your trifecta. This is your IRAs. This is. This is your health savings account. This is your 401ks. This is going to be owning investments or LLCs. You said Kelly again. Kelly. Kelly. Kelly. Kelly. Kelly. Kelly. I remember that. Kelly. We need to know how many rentals you have. Do you have rental LLCs in other states? Is your LLC even set up in the right state? You may go. Well, I have a Florida llc, but all my rentals are in Georgia. Then we need a Georgia llc, but I've got it in Wyoming. Oh, you have a Wyoming llc. That's great. Hope it makes sense for you. I'm a lawyer. I'm worth more than a million dollars. I don't even have a Wyoming llc. I could set one up tomorrow. I don't have one because they cost. They don't make sense unless you have the right type of assets. So anybody out there trying to sell you a Wyoming llc? I hope they're a lawyer that has a fiduciary duty to help you. Or they're just some promoter, some influencer that says this is what they do. Doesn't mean everybody else needs to do it.
She said she has six properties, by the way.
Oh, okay. Six properties in one llc. Man, that's six eggs in one basket. I don't know if I like that, Kelly. I might want to spin off These three, throw them in their own llc. I want to keep costs down, I want to be efficient, but I want a barrier. I want eggs in two different baskets. That's how this works. Now, are these all in Florida? Then we have two Florida LLCs. Oh, you got a million dollars plus of equity. Ooh. Now, we're going to talk asset protection. But notice we're over here on the long term side. We're not even over here on the op side. We're not even talking about your 1040 yet. We're talking about our asset protection. This is the type of information you get in a consultation. Is that when you're doing a consultation with a lawyer, they bring this all together. So we want to make sure that your, your advisor and when you're a tax advisor, you're having these meetings with your clients. So exciting. Couple more questions and we'll wrap it up.
Yeah, that sounds great. One person asks, Cernolia asks, what time tomorrow is the live Q and A?
Okay. 2:30 Pacific, 2:30 Pacific, 2:32 Pacific. Do your math. That would be 3:30 Mountain, 4:30 Central, 5:30 Eastern. Down below is the link. And we're not going to spam you and whatever, just sign up and we're going to get you at the Zoom link for you to be there tomorrow. It's a Q and A of the tax advisor program, people. I've already said I'm going to tell you the guarantee that I tell people and you're going to hear it tomorrow. My program right now is 7,500 bucks, which is the cheapest in the country for certified tax advisory. 7,500 bucks. It goes up to 10,000 January 1st. 7,500 bucks. And my guarantee is if I don't bring you three times that, three times that in new business once you're certified on my network, once you're there for three months. Certified for three months in my network. And I don't bring you three times that in new business. I'll give your money back 3X. I've got a 3X your income. I've had no one ask for the money back. Except people come on in tears and go, mark, you've just, you totally changed my business. That's 7,500 bucks for you business owners if I don't save you $7,500 in taxes in your first year filing. Let's talk. I got to talk about that guarantee because some people are not making any money. How can I save you that in taxes? But I'm telling you, I Have business owners that save three times that in taxes in the first year learning these advisory strategies. The list goes on and on. 80 different strategies. Tomorrow I'm going to give you the whole list of what I teach you. It's for free. Just come check out the zoom call. Now, guys, I'm trying to give you real strategies, real advice today. This is not just an infomercial, but you got to get. You got to get better educated, especially you CPAs, attorneys. You think you learned this on the bar exam? You don't. You think you learned this on the CPA exam? You don't. I've been there. Oh, I learned it from the old white guy in the corner of the office. That's who I learned my strategies from. Great. The guy's 80 years old dealing with 1982 strategies. I've been there and done that too. I teach cutting edge strategies. And I'll talk hard hitting. I don't care. I don't care if I piss anybody off. I want to help the accounting industry. I'm sick and tired of people leaving the industry. I want new people coming into the industry. Because you know what? Business owners are lined up for you. I've got thousands and thousands of followers that are like, Mark, give me advisors as fast as you can because we need you. I'll bring you all the clients. Done. One last question. Jack, what do you got?
Okay, Cyan Prince asks, I just started my construction company, llc. Can I can my business purchase my personal vehicle and can I take a loan out for it?
Well, Diane, the answer is yes, but we gotta talk. Okay, first of all, if you have a construction company, you're definitely gonna be an S corporation because anybody doing construction is gonna make more than 40 grand a year or else you're not a. You're a handyman doing it part time. So you're a construction company, you're an S corp. That means an LLC taxed as an S corp. And if you're in your startup year, you better damn well be an s Corp starting 1 124. But I may even backdate you to an S Corp. 1123. Okay, that's point number one. Number two, you don't buy the vehicle from yourself. You donate it. You're going to contribute your vehicle to the business. And when you contribute the vehicle to the business, you get to depreciate it and use once. You can use bonus depreciation. Under the new laws, when you contribute a vehicle to your S corporation, you're not going to loan it to the corporation. You're not going to sell it to the corporation, you're going to contribute it. Now, with this point, I don't know if that's the best thing to do. That's why I'm saying, can you do it? Yes. But I may want you to do mileage. I want to look at the value of the vehicle, how many miles you're going to put on, what are your plans with the vehicle, how much money are you making? Contributing to the business may be a bad deal. In fact, wouldn't it be nice if you could get to an article on auto deductions, have seven different options. Wouldn't that be great? If you could find an article with tax strategies for auto deductions that actually makes sense, wouldn't that be great? It's in the description below. It just went live this week and I do one every year. Seven strategies on how to deduct your vehicle. You're going electric, you're going truck, you're going high mileage, you're going hybrid, you're going small car, you're commuting, you construction. I don't know. I got a great kick ass article on it. Oh, and I'm going to recommend you meet with a tax advisor that can help you walk you through it. Diane, we got the solutions and it's going to save you thousands. Buying the right vehicle for your business can be a multi thousand dollar decision and we're just going to Google and hope we get it right. Talk to a tax advisor on my network. They can be extremely affordable. A couple hundred bucks per hour, I don't know. Interview and find the right one next, she said. And then take out a loan. Take out a loan. So you're going to put the business, the car into your business and then go get a title loan. I don't know what you mean. Get a loan. You want to go buy a new vehicle and get a loan? Great. You could buy a truck before year end with $1 down and get a write off for 50 grand. Go out and buy a used F150 for 50k, put $1 down, get a loan, put it in your business, you got a write off. But I don't know if that's right for you. I don't know if that's the right move for your business. But you can get a loan on a vehicle and put it in your business all day long. But a loan on the vehicle you just contributed. I don't know if you phrased that question right Diane. So I don't think you're doing that. Learn more, Join the program, learn about tax strategies and it'll save you thousands. Be your own best advisor first. I promise you my program will save you that in taxes. Absolutely, Jack.
