Mark MacLeod's guest recommends a "tour of duty" in Silicon Valley for founders outside tech hubs, citing the density of entrepreneurs and rapid idea velocity. The key: engage intentionally with the community rather than work in isolation to gain exposure and accelerated learning.

Would you say like founders who are not from a primary tech ecosystem like SF, would they just generally benefit from doing a little tour of duty there? Would you actually make that recommendation to people?
I would definitely, because the density and the velocity are way better. So density, there are a lot more people who are in the same mindset of you. You get exposed to new ideas. You can really gain a breadth of experience just by being there. I believe if you're intentional, right? If you just go to work and you go back to your home and you don't talk to anyone, not that great. And then the velocity, like things are moving faster there. Um, I think there, there might have been a lull, but it's definitely back now. And you generally want to, in my opinion, you want to be in the best place you can for whatever that might mean to you.
