Mark Moss projects Bitcoin at $1 million by 2030, $14 million by 2040, and $45 million by 2050 based on the growing global store-of-value asset pool. He estimates this pool will reach $1.6 quadrillion by 2030 and assumes Bitcoin captures 1.25% of it, using Uber and Airbnb's rapid market share gains as precedent.
A million dollars in 2030, $14 million in 2040, and $45 million in 2050. Per one Bitcoin. For one Bitcoin. I'll give you the math. When we make money, if we create more than we consume, we save it. So we put it into what we call store of value assets. Real estate is the biggest one. Stocks, bonds, gold, collectibles, fine art. In 2010, that basket of store of value assets was about $350 trillion. Today it's $1,000 trillion. Why is that going up? Because we keep expanding the money supply. The US government has the CBO, Congressional Budget Office, And they project out the budget of the US government for the next 30 years through 2054, what the debt will be, what the deficit spending will be. We go, okay, when the money supply grew this much, this store of value basket grew at this rate. If we continue this rate of growth, which the government projects for 30 years for, what does that mean for that basket of goods? The store of value assets will be $1.6 quadrillion by 2030 based off of the rate that we're running and the money supply growth. The question then becomes, what percentage of that store of value asset will Bitcoin capture? So Uber and Airbnb both captured 10% of markets in less than 10 years. By 2030, if Bitcoin can capture 1.25%, it puts it at $21 trillion or $1 million per Bitcoin.
