In this fourth‑week episode of the April series “Awaken Your Purpose: Planting Seeds for Intentional Living,” host Dr. Marlene Greenleaf uses a gardening metaphor to guide listeners through the next phase of personal development—nurturing what they have planted. She reminds the audience that growth is a slow, often invisible process that requires patience, faith, and consistent daily actions such as prayer, journaling, hydration, and saying no to distractions. Greenleaf stresses that perfection is unnecessary; faithful, incremental effort is what cultivates results. The episode concludes with a concrete “April challenge”: listeners choose one seed (habit, mindset shift, or project) they introduced earlier in the month, create a simple plan to water it, and log their daily or weekly actions, embracing the mantra “progress, not perfection.” The overall message encourages listeners to view themselves as both soil and gardener, trusting the process and living boldly in their power.

Welcome back, my valued listeners, to another episode of Living in Your Power. I'm your host, Dr. Marlene Greenleaf, and we've arrived at week four of our April series, Awaken Your Purpose: Planting Seeds for Intentional Living. I want to apologize for my voice; it's a bit raspy. Pollen got the better of me over the weekend. I was outdoors in. Enjoyed the beautiful weather, even though it was a bit breezy. But nevertheless, pollen got me, so I have a raspy voice. But I do want to continue with this episode, so here we are. Now, so far this month, we've cleared the weeds, turned the soil, and planted new seeds. And now we've come to the next vital part of this growth journey, which is nurturing the growth, staying committed to what you've planted. Because it's one thing to plant seeds, it's another to be patient enough, faithful enough, and intentional enough to water them daily. Now let's talk about what it really means to stay the course even when the results aren't immediate. Now growth takes time, and we live in a culture that glorifies quick wins and instant results. But the truth is growth takes time. You don't see the fruit overnight, and you don't see the harvest the moment you plant. Whether you've planted new habits, a business idea, healing work, or personal development goals, there will be quiet seasons, dry seasons, and slow seasons. But don't let silence make you think nothing is happening. Roots grow in the dark, and transformation happens beneath the surface. And if you keep nurturing what you've planted with faith, Consistency and care, growth will come. So what does nurturing the growth look like for you? It's not always flashy or Instagram-worthy. I mean, sometimes it's saying no to distractions, or choosing prayer over panic, drinking water, journaling, and resting. Or showing up even when you're tired. It's small acts of discipline and devotion that keeps your soil fertile. Your calling, your dream, your healing— it's not a one-time thing. It's a daily decision to keep showing up for it. Now, God doesn't rush the process. He honors faithful consistency. Every time you pray, every time you choose integrity, every time you realign with your values, you are nurturing the garden of your life. And here's the key: you don't have to do it perfectly. Just faithfully keep showing up. Keep watering the vision. Keep believing in the seed, even when it's quiet, even when no one else sees it. So here's your final April challenge. I want you to choose one seed you planted this month. Whether it's a new habit, a mindset shift, or a project, create a daily or weekly plan to water it. Keep a simple log or journal entry of how you're showing up for your growth. And remember, progress, not perfection. I'm gonna say that again. Remember, it's progress, not perfection, because you're nurturing something powerful. So as we close this month's journey, I want you to remember that you are the soil, you are the seed, you are the gardener. You have everything inside you to grow, to heal, and to thrive on purpose. So keep tending to your inner garden, keep showing up, and keep trusting the process. And as always, I want you to live boldly in your power. And if it gets tough, Just breathe. You've still got the strength to rise. So until next time, dear listeners, let's bloom into me together and continue to live in your power.
