Dr. Marleen Greenleaf reflects on waiting as a spiritual practice, not wasted time. She draws on Isaiah 40:31 and personal experience to help listeners in uncertainty release control and trust God's timing. Waiting, she says, deepens roots and prepares you for future blessings.

Well, hello, my valued listeners, and welcome to another episode of Living in Your Power. I'm your host, Dr. Marleen Greenleaf, and today we're closing out our June series, The Power of Presence: Leading, Living, and Loving in the Now. This final episode is a quiet but powerful reminder that present Isn't just about being physically still. It's about spiritual trust. It's about learning to rest in God's timing, especially in those in-between moments when nothing seems to be happening, but everything is being prepared. Today's episode closes out our theme with one of the most powerful lessons of all, and that's trust Trusting God While We Wait. We— this one is for all of us who are in between, in transition, in uncertainty, or in that long hallway between what was and what's next. So let's breathe into it and begin. Have you ever found yourself waiting? I mean, but not waiting well? I mean, maybe you've been doing the work— showing up, praying, journaling, speaking affirmations— but still, the door hasn't opened yet. The email hasn't come. The healing hasn't fully arrived. The opportunity is still out of reach. Listen, I've been there and I'm actually there again, but what I have learned is this: trusting God in the present moment is one of the hardest forms of faith, and that's because it requires surrender. It requires us saying, God, I don't see the full picture, But I still believe you are working. It requires us staying present, not escaping into anxiety about the future or regret about the past. And it requires us releasing the pressure to always be producing something. I mean, here's the truth. We don't always know what's ahead, but God does. And sometimes the hardest thing to do Waiting isn't taking action; it's staying still. It's learning to wait in faith and not in fear. Waiting doesn't mean wasting; it means watering. It means strengthening your roots, deepening your trust, and allowing God to prepare you for what's coming next. If you're in a season of waiting, Like I am now. I want you to know this: you are not forgotten. Your delay is not denial. God is still working, even in silence. I've had to remind myself of that too. And as a leader, a woman of faith, and someone who carries many responsibilities, I've learned that slowing down doesn't mean giving up. It means letting go. Letting go of control. Letting go of the timeline. Letting go of the pressure to perform. And instead, it's leaning into presence. Because God is not only the God of your future. He is He is the God of your now. So I want you to ask yourself this question: What would it look like to trust God right where I am, without needing every answer? What peace might I reclaim if I stopped rushing and started resting in His presence? You know, Isaiah 40:31 says, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. So if you're waiting, if you're in a waiting season, I want you to breathe deep and No, you are not behind. You are not being overlooked. You are not forgotten. But instead, you are being prepared. So let this be your invitation today to be still, to let go of the rush, and to trust God's perfect timing, even if you don't understand the delay because there is presence in the pause and there is power in the stillness. This month has reminded me to anchor myself in the moment, not in anxiety, not in overthinking, but in awareness and assurance. And I hope these episodes have empowered I hope inspired you to do the same, my dear listeners. But before we go, I want to share a little sneak peek of where we're heading next. So coming in July, our new theme is Freedom to Flourish: Breaking Free, Showing Up, and Blooming Boldly. Yes, it's time to release what No longer serves you and step fully into the life God has designed you to live. He wants you to have more joy, more healing, more you. So we'll kick off next week with a brand new episode, and I'll be sharing reflections, real talk, and freedom declarations that I can't wait to speak over your life. I want to thank you Thank you for walking with me this month as we explored the power of presence. And I want you to remember this: you don't have to have it all figured out to be faithful. You just have to be present. So let's close with this, and you can say it with me. I am safe in the pause. I am held In the process, and I trust that what is for me will not pass me by. So let's affirm that again. I am safe in the pause. I am held in the process, and I trust that what is for me will not pass me by. So until next time, I want you to continue to walk boldly in your purpose, breathe deeply in your presence, and remember this: your peace is your superpower. So until next time, dear listeners, live boldly in your power today. And if it gets tough, just breathe. You still got the strength to rise. Continue to live in your power.
