Well, hello, my valued listeners, and welcome back to another episode of Living in Your Power. I'm your host, Marleen Greenleaf, and today we're finishing up our conversation on navigating the holiday season and preparing for the new year by letting go of the negative and making room for fresh beginnings. I know this time of year often brings reflection, and with that can come the weight of regrets, challenges, or unfulfilled expectations. But here's the thing, we don't have to carry all of that into the new year. So today I want to encourage you to take a deep breath, exhale the negative, and create space for peace, joy, and hope. joy, and hope as we prepare to step into a brand new chapter. So let's dive in. Before we can move forward, we have to let go of what's holding us back, and that's not always easy. Negative experiences, unresolved conflicts, or even self-doubt can linger in our minds and hearts, Making it hard to embrace the future with clarity. But holding on to negativity only weighs us down. Imagine trying to climb a mountain with a heavy backpack full of things you don't need— old grudges, fears, failures. That weight keeps you from reaching the summit. So letting go doesn't mean forgetting or ignoring the lessons we've learned. It simply means releasing the emotional grip of those experiences so they no longer define or control us. Take a moment to reflect. What do you need to let go of before the year ends? What's been weighing on your heart that you're ready to release? I want you to take a moment to think on this and reflect on it. Letting go starts with something as simple as breathing. When life feels overwhelming, our breath becomes shallow and we hold tension in our bodies. But when we take the time to exhale deeply, It's like releasing that tension from our minds and hearts. Let's do a quick exercise together. I want you to take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely. Now hold that for a count of 5. Now exhale slowly through your mouth. Slowly through your mouth, imagining all the negativity, stress, and doubt leaving your body. That's the power of the exhale. It's a reset button, a reminder that we have the ability to release what no longer serves us. So this— at the end of this holiday season, whenever you feel tension rising, I want you to take a moment to breathe, to exhale, And to let go. As we exhale and leave the negative behind, we create space for something new. The upcoming year is a blank canvas full of possibilities and potential. So how do we prepare to usher in the new year with intention and purpose? Here are a few steps to consider. I want you first to reflect on your wins. Take stock of the positive moments and accomplishments this year— from this year, and celebrate even the small victories because they matter. Next, set intentions, not pressure. So instead of creating a long list of resolutions, I want you to focus on a few meaningful intentions. What values or goals do you want to prioritize in the coming year? Set intention, not pressure. Next, I want you to visualize your future. I want you to close your eyes and imagine what a joyful, fulfilling 2025 looks like for you, and I want you to hold on to that vision as a source of motivation. And finally, practice gratitude. End the year by expressing thankfulness for the lessons, the blessings, and the people who've made a difference in your life. As we step into a new year, let's remember that we don't have to have everything figured out because life is a journey. And every step we take is an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to embrace our power. This year, I've learned the importance of peace and resilience. I've learned to cherish the moments that matter and to let go of what doesn't serve my purpose. And I want to carry those lessons into the new year with gratitude and hope. What about you? What lessons or values will you carry forward, and what will you leave behind? As we prepare for 2025, let's step into it with open hearts and clear minds, ready to create a year that aligns with our purpose and power. Before I close today's episode, I want to leave you with this. The holidays and the new year aren't about perfection. They are about presence. Presence. They are about finding peace in the moment and letting go of what doesn't belong in your journey anymore. So as we prepare to step into a new chapter, take a breath. Exhale the negativity and embrace the hope and possibility that the future holds. I want to thank you for joining me today on Living in Your Power. I'm so grateful for each and every one of you, and I can't wait to step into 2025 together with intention and purpose. So until next time, dear listeners, I want you to live boldly Live fully in your power today, and if it gets tough, just breathe. You still got the strength to rise. Continue to live in your power.
