Well, hello, my valued listeners, and welcome to the final episode in our November series of Gratitude in Motion: Leading, Living, and Giving from the Heart. I'm your host, Dr. Marleen Greenleaf, and as we close this month, I want to invite you to pause with me. Pause with me To breathe, to reflect, and to remember that before we rush into what's next, there's power in simply acknowledging where we are. Today's episode is entitled Reflect, Release, and Renew: Preparing for a Purposeful Year. Now, reflection is a sacred act of remembrance. It's the moment where we stop chasing what's ahead and start thanking God for what He's already done. Psalm 126:3 says, the Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. So even in the moments that didn't make sense— the closed doors, the delayed answers, the unexpected detours— God was working behind the scenes. When we reflect with gratitude We train our hearts to see his fingerprints in the small things. The conversation that encouraged you when you were ready to give up. The opportunity that arrived right when you needed it. And the lesson that grew you stronger even when it stretched you thin. Hey, so take a moment today to To look back and say, Lord, thank you for keeping me even when I didn't know how I'd make it through. So our reflection— I know reflection helps you see what's worth keeping, but release helps you to walk lighter. Philippians 3:13-14 says, forgetting what is behind, And straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. So releasing, my dear friends, it isn't forgetting. It's freeing. It's saying, I can honor what happened without holding on to its weight. And maybe that means releasing disappointment over goals you didn't reach this year. Maybe it means releasing the pressure to do it all perfectly. Or maybe it's releasing people, places, or habits that kept you from peace. Whatever it is, I want you to release it with grace because you can't receive the new thing God has for you If your hands or your heart are full of what he's taking or what he's asking you to let go of. So after you reflect and release, there's space for renewal. This is where God breathes new life into weary places. In Isaiah 43:19, it reminds us. It says, see, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up. Do you not perceive it? So renewal doesn't always come through activity. Sometimes it comes through stillness. It's in the quiet moments that your strength returns. And this is the time of year when we often push to finish strong. But maybe this year, finishing strong looks like resting well. Maybe it looks like restoring your faith, revisiting your vision, and maybe renewing your boundaries. Because what's ahead requires a refreshed you, not a rushed you. So if you want to close this year, this month with peace, not pressure, try one of these renewal rhythms this week. First is called the gratitude review. Write down 5 things from this year that grew your faith to where you are. Next is the release ritual. Write a list of what you are ready to let go of, then pray over it and tear it up as a physical act of surrender. And next is the renewal prayer. Now each morning, say, God, renew my mind, restore my joy, and realign me with your will. I'm going to repeat that for you, your renewal prayer. So each morning, say, God, renew my mind, restore my joy, and realign me with your will. And remember, resetting isn't about perfection, it's about peace. And when you move forward in gratitude, you're not just closing a chapter, You are in fact turning the page with purpose. So here's your empowerment prompt for this week. So in your journal this week, reflect on these 3 questions: What am I most grateful for from this year? What am I ready to release as I move into And prepare for a new season? And how can I renew my mind, my energy, and my faith as the year is quickly coming to a close? Let your answers become your year-end declaration. Lord, I release what was I thank you for what is, and I welcome what's to come. So before we close today's episode, listen, I can't let this week go by without pausing to say Happy Thanksgiving, my friends. Now, this is the week we gather around tables both near and far to share gratitude for God's goodness and the people who've made our journey meaningful. So whether your table is full of family laughter, quiet reflection, or even bittersweet memories, I want you to remember that gratitude has a way of filling the heart more than anything else can. I am thankful for each of you, my valuelessness. I'm thankful for you walking this journey with me. Month after month. I am thankful for your support, your feedback, and your faith and trust in me. So as we celebrate this Thanksgiving, let's choose to see blessings not as possessions but as presents— the presence of God in every good and imperfect moment, and the presence of purpose in the very breath we take. So as we reflect, release, and renew this week, I want you to remember that gratitude isn't just a word for the season, it's a rhythm for your soul. So carry this into your gatherings, your prayers, your rest, and let it remind you that you are seen, Supported and surrounded by grace. Listen, you've made it through another season, and that's something to celebrate. You've grown, you stretch, you've persevered, and you've learned more about yourself and your fate along the way. So celebrate, celebrate you, celebrate where you are. And celebrate what's to come. So I thank you for joining me on this journey this month. And until next time, dear listeners, I want you to remember to live boldly in your power today. And if it gets tough, just breathe. Why? Because you still got the strength. To rise. So I'm wishing you a peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving. I want you to continue to live in your power.
