In this solo episode of the "Living in Your Power" podcast, Dr. Marlene Greenleaf closes the May series "The Empowered Yes: Aligning with What You Are Called to Do" with a focus on moving beyond merely saying "yes" to consistently walking in that commitment. She opens with a Memorial Day tribute, linking the day’s themes of sacrifice and purpose to personal commitment. Greenleaf explains that saying yes provides clarity and direction, but true empowerment requires ongoing presence, consistency, and wholehearted effort, citing Colossians 3:23 to emphasize doing work heartily for the Lord rather than half‑heartedly. She contrasts moments of excitement with quieter periods lacking external validation, urging listeners to stay faithful even when progress feels invisible. The episode offers reflective prompts: identify where listeners have said yes without fully showing up, envision full presence, and maintain consistency during quiet phases. She reiterates the call to act fully and heartily, concluding with encouragement to live boldly, breathe through challenges, and continue walking in one's power.

Well, hello, my valued listeners, and welcome back to another episode of Living in Your Power. I'm your host, Dr. Marlene Greenleaf, and I'm truly grateful that you're here with me today as we close out our May theme, The Empowered Yes: Aligning with What You Are Called to Do. We are stepping into what it means to not just say yes But to walk in it. And today's episode, the 4th and final in our main series, is titled Walking Fully in Your Yes. But before we move into today's message, I want to take a moment to acknowledge Memorial Day. Because today is more than a long weekend or a day off for many. It's a time of remembrance and gratitude for the men and women who gave their lives in service and sacrifice. And while our lives and journeys may look different, Memorial Day also reminds us of the power of commitment, the courage to walk in purpose, and the impact of showing up for something greater than ourselves. So as we move into today's episode, walking fully in your yes, I invite you to reflect not only on gratitude but also on how we are choosing to walk fully in the assignments placed before us. Now there's something powerful. About saying yes. I mean, when we say yes, sometimes it brings clarity, it brings direction, it can bring alignment. But saying yes is just the beginning, because walking in your yes requires consistency, it requires presence, and it requires you to show up again And again, even when it's not easy. And this is where many people struggle—not with the decision, but with the follow-through. Now Colossians 3:23—that verse says, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men." That's the King James Version. So it says. Do it heartily. Not halfway, not occasionally, not when it's convenient, but fully. So walking in your yes means giving your full presence to what you've committed to, not because everything is perfect, but because your assignment deserves your faithfulness. Now, there will be moments when your yes feels exciting. It's clear, affirmed, supported. And then there will be moments when it feels quiet, when there's no immediate feedback, no visible progress, no external validation. And in those moments, it becomes easy to question. Did I hear this right? Am I on the right path? Hmm. But walking fully in your yes means staying committed even when it gets quiet, because your assignment, dear listeners, is not sustained by applause. It's sustained by faithfulness. So now let's come back to this, um, verse, this line where it says, do it heartily. Your empowerment prompt for today: I want you to take a moment this week and I want you to reflect on this. Where have I said yes But not fully shown up? What would it look like to give my full presence to my assignment? And how can I remain consistent even when the process feels quiet? As always, I'm going to repeat this for you. I want you to reflect on these this week. Where have I said yes But not fully showing up? What would it look like to give my full presence to my assignment? And how can I remain consistent even when the process feels quiet? Listen, you don't have to do everything, but what you do and when you do it, do it fully. Again, do it heartily. I think I'm saying that word right. Heartily. Heartily. With all your heart. Do it with your whole being. Okay, so when you do it, do it fully. So in closing, my dear listeners, your yes is not just a moment. It's a commitment. It's something you walk out daily. And when you walk fully in your yes, you begin to experience the clarity, growth, and purpose that comes with alignment. So I want to thank you again for joining me for this final episode in our May series, The Empowered Yes. Aligning with what you are called to do. I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day where you took the time not just to relax and enjoy this day off for those who have the day off, but you took this time to remember and be grateful for the men and women who gave their lives in So until next time, dear listeners, I want you to continue to live boldly in your power today. And if it gets tough, just breathe. You've still got the strength to rise. So I'll see you next time. Bye. And continue to live in your power.
