A recorded conversation/demonstration featuring Mary Wanless (founder of Rider Biomechanics) and Liz Launder (equine & human osteopath) about rider biomechanics and how rider posture affects horses. They introduce a Racewood riding simulator used for walking, trotting, cantering and jumping and prepare to demonstrate with a first rider.
Hello there. I'm Mary Wanlis, founder of the Rider Biomechanics movement, author of the Ride with youh Mind books. I'm a person who's dedicated my life to figuring out what it is that talented riders do that they don't know they do and how the way the rider sits affects the horse and how we can use this to our advantage as riders. And of course that means to our horses advantage. Hi, I'm.
Liz Launder, I'm the consultant equine osteopath and human osteopath here at the Margaret Giffen Centre for Rider Performance at the now Heartbury University. I've spent a lifetime with horses and riders trying to look at what makes them work effectively and efficiently and I've come together with Mary and I'm absolutely delighted to be able to put together our skill sets.
And we're here as well with this simulator made by Racewood which does everything from walk, trot, canter, jump and I'm told Winnie. So let's get in gear with our first rider.
