Wire transfers to China take a week and cost hundreds in fees. Send the same amount via Tether on Tron and it arrives instantly for $1. Stablecoins have already made the dollar faster and cheaper for moving money across borders.
Because with the US dollar, if I want to pay someone in China with the US dollar, I need to use a wire transfer or something like that, right? And that's going to take a week and it's going to be expensive. There's going to be a fee. Whereas if I just use Tether over the Tron network or something that has a $1 fee, it's going to get to China in the blink of an eye for $1. It's not going to take a week, right? So stablecoins have already made the US dollar useful. That's what they've done.
