A crypto investor explains why they'd sell XRP if given solid evidence to do so, and defends the token against emotional criticism. They argue Ripple's SEC legal win benefits the whole ecosystem by preventing altcoins from being classified as securities, and clarify that owning XRP is not the same as owning Ripple stock.

I would sell my XRP. I would sell it if you had a compelling enough argument and convinced me to sell it. This is how you must be as a crypto investor. I am always willing to sell my position based on new information. I am not brainwashed. But through all of these crazy, insane debates that have been taking place, over the last few weeks about Solana versus XRP, I'm yet to see someone with a compelling enough argument to make me want to sell. They're always too emotional about it. They're always— they have this deep hatred towards XRP for some reason, even though Ripple is the company that fought the SEC tooth and nail with hundreds of millions of dollars of legal fees and defeated the SEC so that your stupid other altcoins cannot be deemed a security, right? XRP is a major, major part of why certain altcoins will not be deemed securities, and we don't want them to be deemed securities because it changes the game a lot. So yeah, no one's found a— no one's gave me a compelling enough argument like, okay, yeah, Ripple dumps XRP on our heads, I don't care. Right. Oh, Ripple just used XRP to fund their whole business and make them successful. I don't care. That's great. Ripple holds the most XRP on planet Earth. They are the number one holder. So they have a huge incentive to make XRP go up. Right. If you're the number one stock investor in Apple, you're going to do everything you can. To make sure Apple succeeds and goes up. Now, reminder, you buying XRP does not equal you owning a part of Ripple the company. XRP is not Ripple stock. Ripple stock is Ripple stock. XRP is a decentralized cryptocurrency. There's no CEO of XRP. There's no founder of XRP. It's decentralized. There's no marketing team of XRP. There's none of that. There's only separate entities. So remember that, right? You don't necessarily own— you know, you don't actually own at all any piece of Ripple. They are completely separate, right? There you go.
