What is up? I am Crypto Mason and welcome back to the Crypto Mason YouTube channel. Shout out to the Gold Squad. We look for gold in every single aspect of our lives and we always find it. Now today we have a very interesting video. If you watch until the end of this video, you will know how to store your crypto in the most safe way possible. Uh, we also have an exclusive discount code off of the Arculus hardware wallet, which we're going to be unboxing and setting up, uh, and talking about inside of this video. This video is sponsored by Arculus, but this is going to be the ultimate guide on how to store your crypto in the most safe way possible. And at the end, we will give you the discount code so that you can get your own wallet. So jumping into it, make sure you drop a like and comment on the video, uh, because I have ditched every other hardware wallet. I am only using Arculus as of right now. So let's get into a little bit about what Arculus is and what self-custody is. So self-custody is when you have true ownership of your crypto, right? So when you give your money to the bank you don't truly own that, right? You're giving it to the bank. So crypto allows you to become your own bank. And with this sleek-looking metal card, uh, you can actually have full ownership over your assets. Nobody can take them from you. Nobody can do anything. Uh, you know, if you go to the bank right now and say, give me $250,000 of cash, they probably can't even do it because they don't have that cash on hand. Uh, and this is just the advantages of using crypto and self-custody over using something like a centralized exchange. I always tell you guys, only keep, uh, what you're willing to lose on a centralized exchange. So for me, my whole long-term portfolio is stored in hardware wallets. Right? Some of it is in hot wallets, which are like software wallets, uh, which are more prone to getting hacked. You could click on a link or something and you could get it taken from you. Um, but the majority of my long-term portfolio is safely secured in my Arculus. So here we go, let's talk about ownership. Uh, most often when you purchase goods with US dollars, you take possession of those goods. You might assume the same for cryptocurrency. After all, you can see the Bitcoin that you bought with US currency sitting in your wallet on the crypto exchange. But here's the thing: the Bitcoin isn't actually stored in your account on the exchange. It's stored on the blockchain. And when you make a transaction, the crypto exchange is facilitating that transaction for you. Okay, it is these two factors— access to blockchain-based assets and the use of a financial intermediary— that call your ownership of your currency into question. So for example, when you have your crypto on an exchange, right, that is not yours. They own that. And one interesting thing that you will notice is when you put XRP specifically onto an exchange you have to put a destination tag. And let me tell you what that tag is for. That tag allows them to distinguish your XRP from everyone else on the exchange's XRP because it's one big account. They're holding everybody's XRP in one big account, or just a few big accounts. And when you execute a transaction you're not actually using your own keys to do that. They're using their wallet keys to do that, okay? And this is why self-custody matters, and it's all about control. You control your private keys, um, and you know, you maintain the custody of your crypto. You can do whatever you want with it, and it is secure. So now let's look at some of the amazing features of the Arculus hardware wallet. So as I said, it is this card right here. That's the actual wallet. So you guys know other hardware wallets kind of look like USBs. They kind of look like these janky old USBs. This is a clean metal card, just like the American Express card in my wallet. You can't bend it. It's amazing. It's a sleek metal card that you use to access your wallet. So with Arculus, they have 3-factor authentication. 3-factor. So I love how they lay this out right here. Take a look. Number 1 is a biometric lock, which is something you are, right? Because you are the face that opens the wallet, or, or the fingerprint. Nobody else. They also have something you know, which is a 6-digit numeric PIN. And then something you have, which is the actual Arculus card, which we're going to unbox, uh, coming up in the video. We're going to unbox and set up the Arculus hardware wallet, um, but it's a 3-factor authentication process that they have, so your crypto is behind the biggest security right now. The other awesome thing is Arculus does not store or share your recovery phrase. and only you have access to it. Okay, so the way that the wallet actually works is you will access all of your crypto through your phone. So an app on your phone, the Arculus app— this is comparable to other hardware wallets that have software and apps, uh, and all you do is tap the card to the back of your phone to access it, right? And this, I'll show this process later in the video. But for now, let's take a look at the coin support, uh, for the Arculus wallet. Which coins do they support? And what I'm interested in seeing is, do they support HBAR and do they support XRP? Because those are my favorite cryptos. Yes, they actually do. So here's the full list on your screen right now of assets that they support. You can see XRP right there. You can see Dogecoin, HBAR, Chainlink, uh, Polymath. They even support Quant, Ren, like Stellar, all of these amazing coins. And they're adding new coins all of the time. They also allow you to store NFTs, and there's a lot of Web3 integration, uh, that you can actually interact with certain Web3 products. through your Arculus wallet. So let's show you the process of actually buying one of these, and we'll give you the discount code as well. So we're going to click Buy Now, right? Uh, and we're going to head to the product page. So right here, this is what you're getting. Um, it comes in this box right here. I've already took the plastic off of mine. Um, if yours comes with no plastic, freaking send it back. Uh, but you know, it should be plastic wrapped. So nobody has opened it yet, of course. So the price is $99, right? So very extremely affordable price to secure possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars of your assets, right? Like if you're looking to secure $500K worth of Ethereum, I mean, $99 isn't anything, right? In comparison to saving that. So there's free 2-day FedEx shipping, so it ships very fast. Um, and if you're ex-military or current military, I believe you get a 25% discount. Okay, now our code that we're going to give you is 20% off, so getting close to that military discount, 20% off. So you get to pick black or silver. So I am going to, uh, pick the black one here. We're going to click Buy Now. And this is going to lead us to our cart, uh, where we're just going to check out. Don't worry about the discount code. Click checkout, and then right here is where you're going to enter the promo code. So our promo code is GS for Gold Squad, GoldSquad20, GS20, and you're going to click apply, and boom, that's going to actually get you $20 off of the price, almost $20 off of the price. So now it's only going to be $79, which is very, very nice. And then you're going to enter your shipping information over here. Now, if you find that it's not available in your location or something, Amazon is actually selling these as well. Normally I would never tell somebody to get a crypto hardware wallet off of Amazon, but Amazon is an official Arculus retailer. Arculus Store is what it's called on Amazon.com. Uh, but make sure you're buying from the correct people, okay? Don't get, um, you know, don't get yourself into some trouble there. But then we just check out, you wait for it to get to your house, and then boom, once it has arrived, we are now going to unbox, uh, your Oculus wallet and show you how to set it up. So let's take a look and open this up. The first thing we're going to do is rip this right here. We're going to rip that off. And boom, we're gonna get this nice pull-down. Let me make sure, make sure you guys can see this. You pull it down. Oops, that might have been the wrong side. It was the wrong side, but you get this nice pull-down, uh, and we're going to show you what is in the box. Okay, so first thing, you get this thank you book right here. We'll go through that in a second. Um, you also get this paper right here where you can write down the seed phrase, uh, and make sure you store this properly. Uh, you don't want to lose that, uh, once you write down the seed phrase. And then you also get, um, this QR code with the terms and conditions and the get started. Uh, and then the holy grail right there is the actual Arculus card. Okay. So if you want to see this up close, you know, this is the black one. Obviously the back looks like this and it is solid, right? Solid, solid. Um, so let's get this thing set up. Uh, so we're gonna jump into my phone. Once we open the app, we're gonna see this Get Started button right here. We're gonna click Get Started and we're gonna accept the, uh, the terms and conditions. Now we're going to scan the— we're going to touch the back of the card right here, and boom, right there we tapped it. And we're going to click Create New Wallet. So you can also restore a wallet. So the thing here is this is just an access card, so it doesn't really matter if you lose this, right? Like, you can like throw this away and then you could buy a new card and restore your wallet from your seed phrase. So just to be clear, your seed phrase is what matters, right? So we're going to click Create New Wallet right here, um, and then we're going to choose— you can choose a 12-word phrase or a 24-word phrase. Obviously one is more secure. We're going to choose— let's choose the 24, uh, and then we're also going to allow Face ID. I'm going to scan my face right there and now I will click continue. Now we, we're supposed to make a PIN code right here. Um, I'm gonna make my PIN code and then get back to you. You're done making your PIN code. It's gonna show you this right before it shows the most important thing. Okay, so it's gonna make you agree to all of this stuff. So if I lose my phrase, I may lose my funds. If I share my phrase, I may lose my funds. If I ever need to recover my wallet, I need my phrase. No one from Arculus will ever ask for it. If I enter my PIN incorrectly 3 times, my Arculus card will reset and I will not be able to recover my funds without my recovery phrase. So let's agree to everything right here. And now it's going to— we need to hold it to the back again. Hold on. Let me do that. And it is now creating the wallet, as you can see on the screen, as we, uh, tap the card to the back. I'm just holding it, uh, right on the back, and boom. Obviously I'm going to blur this out so you guys don't see the recovery phrase, and then we're going to click I wrote down the phrase. And now I'm obviously going to blur this out too, but you have to repeat the phrase back to them so that they know that you actually wrote it down. So I've got my secret phrase in here, uh, and I'm going to type it in right now. Now I am officially set up. So let's click Go to Home Screen. It's going to give us a What's New tab right here, and boom, we are officially into our Arculus wallet. So from the home screen, we can now view our NFTs, we can manage all the currencies, we can add and remove currencies, uh, you can also buy and swap for certain assets within, uh, within the app, which is very cool, you know. So if you have some Bitcoin or— what are the other ones— Bitcoin, Doge, ETH, Litecoin, or some stablecoins, you can swap it, uh, directly for US dollars, which is very cool. You can see your history, um, you can use the dark theme, which I really like, uh, and you can do a bunch more stuff. So that is how to set up the Arculus wallet. I hope you guys enjoyed, uh, you know, get yourself one of those wallets and drop your currency into it and keep it safe with self-custody. So thank you for watching, uh, thank you to Arculus for sponsoring this video, and that is all we've got. And good—
