⚠️ WHAT IS HAPPENING?! CHAOS! HBAR FALLING, BORED APE LAND SALE GOES WRONG! SOLANA OUTAGE

In this YouTube market‑update, Crypto Mason opens with a meme of Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse dressed as a leprechaun and then dives into a rapid rundown of the current crypto turmoil. He notes Bitcoin’s modest rebound to $38,554 after a dip, while most altcoins are slumping, with only Tron and NEAR showing modest gains. He highlights Crypto.com’s upcoming Visa‑card reward cuts, which he believes will further depress CRO’s price, and points to a regulatory backdrop that may be driving the change. HBAR is trading below its June‑2021 support at 14 ¢, which Mason frames as a buying opportunity despite prevailing FUD. Solana suffered another 17‑hour outage, reinforcing its reputation for instability, though Mason still expresses personal support for the chain. The bulk of the segment focuses on the ApeCoin/Otherdeed (Otherside) land sale debacle: massive Ethereum gas fees, a poorly optimized smart contract, and a failed mint that left Mason with $7 k in APE and $4 k in gas fees. He discusses community criticism, the possibility of ApeCoin migrating to its own chain, and the broader implications for high‑demand NFT drops. Mason also promotes an upcoming Twitter Spaces with the Faceless Many NFT project on Elrond and urges viewers to follow his socials. The video ends with a personal thank‑you and a call to join his community.

What is up? I am Crypto Mason and welcome back to the Crypto Mason YouTube channel. Shout out to the Gold Squad. We look for gold in every single aspect of our lives and we always find it. Now today, let's start out with this picture of Brad Garlinghouse. The CEO of Ripple dressed as a leprechaun, folks. I don't know where he was. I think he was in Ireland, um, with Charles Hoskinson and a bunch of other people. Michael Arrington, uh, Michael Arrington actually posted this hilarious photo. Wanted to start off with that, but we are here for another daily market update. We have absolute chaos going. It's chaos in the market right now, right? We're going to talk about the chaos. Like, Bitcoin is down Um, altcoins are all doing horribly. Crypto.com has made changes to their, uh, Visa cards that has dumped the price. Like, it's so bad that it dumped the price. HBAR has broken through its support to the downside. Um, Solana had another 17-hour outage. Otherside, uh, the Otherside metaverse has dropped, has went horribly. Like, dude, everything is like on fire right now. Very chaotic. Make sure you follow me on Twitter, follow my Instagram up there, join the Telegram group, and let's get into it. Now the first thing, I am doing a Twitter Spaces with Meg, uh, BZK, and The Faceless Many. Okay, The Faceless Many is a project on Elrond. It's an NFT project on Elrond. If you guys know Mac Lorden from TikTok or Demonic Crypto from TikTok, or Evan— Conversations with Evan, uh, they are on the team of this project. They run this project, right? And they have this new corrupted NFT coming out, and this Twitter Spaces is going to give you more info on that. So set a reminder, I will be live on Twitter Spaces today. Um, go check that out now. Um, and maybe in, in the future I might be talking a little bit more about Faceless Many because what they are doing is full of greatness, okay, in my opinion. Now let's get into the market. $38,554 Bitcoin, right, stepping up a little bit here from yesterday. Kind of bottomed out yesterday at like $37,400. Absolutely horrid price action right here. Uh, our Market Cipher EMA bands are obviously in the, uh, very gray right here. Deep in the red money flow. Momentum Wave is coming up here, stochastic RSI and RSI is coming up, VWAP is up. So all we need is money to flow in there and we will start heading back up on Bitcoin. Um, but the, this crappy Bitcoin price action is causing the rest of the altcoins to also be doing very badly. We do have Tron, um, as an outlier right here, 8.8% up. We have NEAR, 5% up. But let's talk about ApeCoin. ApeCoin has retraced 22%, right? 22%. Um, and actually on TikTok I did post a video and there was a warning in the comments, right? Um, so where is it? Right here, right? I posted a video about ApeCoin when it was pumping to $20. Now we're sitting at $17. And I posted the video like right, like when it was at 18, or no, it was at 19, and then it got all the way up to 27. Okay, um, and right here I say be careful, this thing could crash a bit right before or after the land sale. Consider taking profits. So this video was all about considering to take— consider taking profits. Um, I said that I wasn't going to take profits on my ApeCoin and that's because I wanted to buy Otherside land, right? The metaverse is called Otherside. I wanted to buy some Otherside land, and we're going to talk about did I get— did I buy in? Did I buy some Otherside land? We're going to talk about that at the end of this video. But ApeCoin has retraced massively as expected. I literally say it right there, it was definitely going to crash after the land sale. Also, the land sale went horribly So that helps with the crash. Now, Crypto.com also has a whack trash chart right here, bottoming out at $30— or sorry, I wish, 30 cents. Um, absolutely horrendous, right? This chart just looks disgusting from all the way to 47 cents at the start of April, right? Even higher, yeah, 48 cents at the start of April. And now we're sitting at basically the end of April and we're at 30 cents right now. Why did this happen? Basically, Crypto.com has just made a Visa cards update on May 1st— that's today— effective on June 1st. And basically, they're removing some of the staking, uh, rewards. They're taking— just basically cutting the card's value in half. Um, they're putting like caps, like CRO card rewards caps on monthly rewards. So if you have the Ruby Steel card, you can only get $25 of monthly CRO rewards. Like, they're just cutting everything, um, cutting some of the, the benefits out. Now, why the— why they're doing that is, in my opinion, they're either repositioning for something or there's some regulatory, uh, scrutiny coming behind the scenes. And I think we will see a lot of other companies have to change some of their offerings due to regulators. So this guy says, uh, I can relate to all of this except for the phasing out of card staking rewards. There is no reason for me to hold $40,000 without earning interest apart from 3% cash back, right? So there's a lot of people— everybody's mad at this. This guy says, so I spend €35,000— is that euros? I think it is. For ICY and— hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. That is— yeah, euros. Okay, for, for ICY and get only 3% cash back and no stake rewards. So they've just made the cards even more horrible. You guys know I do actually have, right? I do have, uh, one of these right here, right? I do have that, um, I don't use it at all. I just had it in case the value increased. Um, but moving on from that, CRO, absolutely horrible move. Uh, they need to make that right. We also have HBAR with the terrible chart right here. 14 cents broke through this support right there, um, from June of 2021. We're lower than it right now, 14 cents. Opportunity. Opportunity. Okay, this is an opportunity. And if this continues going down, my confidence never wavers on HBAR. Okay, never. It doesn't, right? There's a lot of HBAR FUD right now— fear, uncertainty, and doubt, right? Um, don't cave in. Like, I can't hang around people who can't hold. I I've been holding XRP for 5 years. I've like— I— all of my money, the best money I've ever made in crypto has been holding. I buy Helium at $1.50 and I hold, and then wow, one, one week it's just going crazy, it's at $50, right? Um, so HBAR down to 14 cents. If you're not looking at this as an opportunity to buy in, right, look at how long we were up here, 20 cents, right? 20, 20, 20 cents, 20 cents, all the way. Like, we haven't been this low since— what is this— June, right, of 2021. So this is an opportunity to get back, or to get in there, right? So confidence never wavers on, uh, HBAR there. We also have Solana with the horrible chart. It's recovering a little bit now for some reason. Uh, it's actually— whoa, hold on. Why is this actually— why is that recovering so well right there? Maybe because the network's back on now. But they did have a 7-hour Solana crash. It was blamed on bots swarming the candy machine. Uh, the crash calls to mind a 17-hour outage in September, which the Solana Foundation said was due to an in-effect, uh, or was due to in effect a denial of service attack. So a DDoS. Um, so Solana's reputation continues to get tarnished. Uh, you basically can't like Solana, you can't build on there, or people will make fun of you because they— because their network doesn't go down. And I'm, I'm, I'm, uh, I'm a, a pusher of this too, right? Like, I tweeted out, wow, Solana really went down again. HBAR can't relate. Right? Um, HBAR can't relate. Like, none of these other networks have, uh, outage— outages, right? XRP has never been down. Like, 7 years of uptime or something crazy like that. Um, also Bitcoin doesn't go out, so there you go. Um, but I still like Solana personally. I think what we're about to talk about with The Other Side metaverse, uh, if they would have done it on a network like Solana, maybe you wouldn't have had these problems. I have a feeling you, you still would have, even on a faster network with no gas. I think you still would have had some problems. This thing was just so big, right? So let's talk about this. No, I did not get into the Otherside meta. I did not buy land. I did not buy land. What I did do was pre-approve my wallet, and I spent $1,000 in gas doing that. Uh, and then I was met with a $4,000 gas fee to mint, and I could not bring myself to do it. Now I'm stuck sitting on $7,000 in APE, not to mention that $7,000 I thought I had in APE has now crashed to $5,000. Horrible, horrible stuff going on right now. Let's talk about some of the— what happened with this, right? So basically they tried to launch the land, right? Ethereum gas fees shot up, right? All the ETH was getting burned. There was like $60 million of ETH burned in like 20 minutes or something crazy. Um, this is what they said about the mint. We know that the Otherdeed mint was unprecedented in its size as a high-demand NFT collection, and that would bring with it unique challenges. Yes, the hope was that those challenges would be aswagged. I don't know, I've never seen that word in my life. Aswagged. I don't know, aswagged via a rigorous gating mechanism in the form— so now they're exposing that these, these things were gating mechanisms in the form of an on-chain KYC, which I did. A max mint of 2 per KYC wallet and a significant clearing price of 305 ApeCoins. So they set the price high, they made you KYC, and they limited the amount that you could actually mint per wallet. And they thought that would like bring the amount of people down, like the barrier of entry. This has been the largest NFT mint in history. The scale of this mint was so large that Etherscan crashed. Uh, we're sorry for turning the lights off on Wait, oh, turning off the lights on Ethereum for a while. It seems abundantly clear that ApeCoin will need to migrate to its own chain in order to properly scale. Uh, we'd like to encourage the DAO to start thinking in this direction. Um, they're— and they're refunding the gas for people who had failed transactions and lost their gas. Now this is insane, dude. Like So some people think this was an ex— they did this on purpose because if we look over here, the contract that they used, the smart contract, had nearly zero gas optimizations. This is from Will Pepper, and then he goes on to give some nerd stuff about how they could have optimized the contract, uh, for better gas, right? But it had nearly zero gas optimizations, and a couple— or some people are saying that they did this on purpose to basically create the problem and then present the solution, which is ApeCoin migrating to its own chain. I mean, dude, come to HBAR, to be honest. Come to HBAR, Algorand, XRP, something like that. That would be amazing. And they're way more, um, efficient than Ethereum. So like, are they gonna launch their own like chain? ApeCoin migrates to their own chain? That would be pretty crazy, um, and I think that would benefit them a lot in the long term. We also have Farouk right here basically saying, uh, he feels bad for, you know, it doesn't feel right. He did get some other deeds, but it doesn't feel right. He thinks the Yuga Labs thread that they put out, which is this one, is tone deaf and might have been too soon. There's so many varying opinions on this, but all in all, it was very bad. Like, they did screw up on this. They still brought in $345 million, which is probably worth like $280 or something like that now, $250 mil with the, the way ApeCoin is going. Super Fizz chooses to remind us right here that, uh, Ethereum gas— with Ethereum gas above 6,000 Gwei, the chain is still humming along perfectly. Historically, this might have broken things or caused calamity. Now it's just high gas fees. Big shout out to the Ethereum. So he's basically saying at least Ethereum still works. Yeah, come on, dude, this thing barely works and a lot of people lost some hard-earned money. The reason I didn't take— the reason I didn't drop $4,000 on gas fees was because I was in the Discord of Otherside. I was in their Discord and I was seeing people lose $12,000 in gas, like failed transaction, they lost $12,000. I'm like, I'm not gonna put $4,000 in gas just to maybe lose it and maybe get another deed, right? Now these other deeds, let's go to OpenSea, right? Really, you're gonna make me sign in? Hold on. Okay, let's go to here, right? Let's go to, uh, other deeds, right? Boom. If we go here— why is there 89,000? Am I tripping? What does that mean? 80— wasn't there 55,000? Hmm. Uh, but the floor price is 6.389 ETH. Okay, now what is that? 6.389 ETH. $6.389 ETH is $18,000. So if I would have spent the $7K ApeCoin and I would have spent $4,000 in gas, that would have been $11,000. I could have flipped the land for $18,000, bought another one, and kept profit. So I did screw up, right? I did screw up. Um, but at the time this floor price was lower. Keep that in mind. This floor price was lower and it wasn't as attractive. I was doing that same calculation. So here's the Otherside lands— insane. So let me know what your guys' thoughts on that is. Um, and that is all we've got for daily market update. Appreciate all of you for watching. If you're still watching right now, I love every single one of you. Make sure you follow on Twitter, Instagram, join the Telegram group, and Goodbye.
