⚠️ WHY HBAR WILL BE BIGGER THAN BITCOIN!? XRP, ALGO, QNT, CASPER, NFTS & MORE! CRYPTO NEWS TODAY

Crypto Mason covers market updates with Bitcoin at $19,100 and discusses why Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) could outrank Bitcoin, citing its hashgraph technology and partnerships like Avery Dennison. He also defends NFT royalties against the push for 0% fees, comparing them to traditional media royalties.

What is up? I am Crypto Mason and welcome back to the Crypto Mason YouTube channel. Shout out to the Gold Squad. We look for gold in every single aspect of our lives and we always find it. Now today we are back for another daily market update. We're hopping straight into this. Make sure that you are entered into the $500 giveaway right here, uh, that we do have going on. Uh, this will be at the top of the description. You can win $500 of any crypto that you want. Um, the other thing is make sure that you sign up with the link in the description for Binance. Binance is an official partner of this channel, um, so go make an account. You can sign up if you're in the US or if you're anywhere else in the world. Let's hop straight into the market update. $916 billion on the market, uh, 0.23 decrease over the last day. So absolutely nothing, um, absolutely nothing, uh, in terms of what's happening with the total market cap. BTC, $19,100, the exact same as the day before. This is bear market stuff. This is bear market updates. Um, these are the bear market daily up, uh, daily market updates where we get on here and the prices are the exact same every day. And we do have to focus on the altcoins in the top 100 that are fluctuating. So if we take a look at which ones are actually doing well today, we can see Casper, uh, is 10% up on the day, uh, and 20% up on 7 days. Now let's just sort by the biggest 7-day gainer and look who that is. Uh, well, we have Huobi. Quant, uh, some of its gains have expired from that 7 days, but look at this. Quant, if you bought in September, at the start of September, you're sitting at $90 all the way to $180, right? That's— you literally doubled your money there, uh, which is pretty absurd. It is one of the biggest, uh, gainers over 7 days. Um, and if I— I'm guessing if we add this 30-day, um, if we add the 30-day bracket as well. How you do this, by the way, a quick tip for CoinMarketCap: if you want to see the extra percentages, go to Customize and click 30 days, and you'll see it right there. Let's just move it right there, apply changes, and boom, you'll be able to see who's the biggest gainer in 30 days. And that is Quant right there. So what do I think of Casper? Let's talk a little bit about Casper. Here's the Casper website. This is not sponsored at all, they are just literally making headlines Uh, slash being the biggest gainer. So I do have to cover them, uh, because their coin is doing crazy. This coin's doing good. They have, they have a lot of stuff going on, right? You can check out their entire website right here. I have read some of the white paper and then some other tweets about Casper, and I will be transparent, I still do not hold a bag of Casper. Uh, and should I get one? Let me know in the comments. Should I get a bag of Casper? Um, I don't know, I don't know. It's— it is up yet, so I will not be buying the top of this, this pump right here. I will be waiting for it to come down and then I will be getting in. So I made this little fake screenshot yesterday, uh, this little fake screenshot of CoinMarketCap, and basically it says this is what the top, the real top 5 should look like. XRP in number 1, HBAR number 2, Quant number 3, Algorand number 4 and Ethereum number 5. And, uh, this is how I think it should look. And a lot of people think I'm trolling with this, but dude, I actually think that this, this should be what it looks like. Ethereum, I'm okay with Ethereum, uh, going to number 1 as well as staying at number 1. I'm actually okay with any arrangement of these in the top 5, but I truly do think that these are the coins that, that should have the biggest market caps if we're talking, uh, if we're talking ranking the crypto market by market cap, these are the ones that should be up there. Now here is a reminder that many people forget about Hedera Hashgraph. HBAR actually has first mover advantage, just like Bitcoin had first mover advantage in crypto. HBAR has first mover advantage on being Hashgraph technology. They are the only project on this entire list that is Hashgraph technology and is not blockchain, right? They are Hashgraph. And now that that is open source, more Hashgraph-related projects can actually come to being, right? So I'm excited to see like other Hashgraph projects try to compete with Hedera, uh, and HBAR. So that is something people forget, and that's another reason I'm bullish. Another little thing from the HBAR Foundation Avery Dennison, which is a global materials science company, they are on the Hedera Governing Council. They are letting users mint carbon emission tokens on their platform with the ability to even offset footprint, even offset footprint with carbon reduction tokens. So this sounds a lot like what Dovu is doing. Now, my little— my thoughts on Dovu. I mean, this thing has— it's dead. It's gone, essentially. Like, I am— I'm sorry, but this thing is like— like, it had millions of dollars of volume and now it has $2,400 worth of volume. So if you have any money in this, you're never getting it out until this volume goes up. Right. And there's a little lesson even in how cryptos work. Like, this thing has to have volume for you to cash out. There always has to be a buyer and seller on either end of the, of the crypto transaction. If you're trading Bitcoin for US dollars, there has to be a real human giving you US dollars, uh, or, or some bot or whatever, a market maker, giving you that money, uh, for your Dovu or for your Bitcoin. So if you had $5,000 previously worth of Dovu You can't even get it out. Okay, moving on. We have, uh, this little clip from Brad Garlinghouse, and then we've got two quotes from Brad Garlinghouse which I think are very important. I'm going to mute my mic and we're going to play this, this new clip that came out. This is from DC Fintech 2022. Um, yeah, this is, this is pretty good, so watch this.
Most people outside the United States don't really care that the SEC is suing us. I'll tell you a very quick funny story. I'll keep it short. I was in the Middle East last fall and we were meeting with customers. I have one of the Ripple team members who's based there. It's really early in the morning. My time zones are all screwed up. We're meeting the CEO of a payments company and, you know, the employee from Team Ripple says, well, why don't you give an update on what's going on at Ripple? And I start talking about the SEC. And after the meeting, he very delicately says to me, no one gives a shit. And his point was, if you're not in the United States, you know, the governments in Abu Dhabi, governments in Switzerland, Singapore, uh, UK, Japan, they provided the clarity how they view and categorize digital assets, and they don't care that the United States SEC has a viewpoint that is, you know, pending in court. Most people—
so he literally said, uh, this guy that was talking to Brad Garlinghouse, no one gives a shit that the SEC is suing Ripple. Nobody cares outside of the USA. Um, then Brad also replied to this saying, my outrage has grown, um, as the litigation has unfolded. There is no recourse, there is no consequence to those that brought this lawsuit. The SEC's pursuit of a policy objective isn't about a faithful allegiance to the law, it's about power. So he's like setting the example of how every ex— like, can't you see that archetype? That archetype that goes against the SEC and, oh, it's about power, it's about power. SEC is corrupt. He's setting that archetype. Brad is the essence of that archetype that you see with all these like Trump-supporting XRP people. There's nothing wrong with it at all. I actually agree with every— this whole archetype. I agree with it. SEC is pretty bad. Uh, and they do— it is about power. But I'm just showing you how like, like everybody sounds like this in the XRP community, right? Everybody sounds exactly like him. Uh, and then he also says there is no regard for those companies and people that this approach has harmed. We all should be outraged. The SEC has clearly forgotten that the government works for the people. Uh, okay. The government works for the people. Uh, dope. Okay, that's Brad Garlinghouse for you. He is on the World Economic Forum. So another funny thing I feel like, uh, is it's pretty funny with the XRP community, right? Uh, they have Brad Garlinghouse literally like he's, he's on the board. Look, Brad is the CEO of Ripple and a member of the board of directors of the World Economic Forum. Okay, like, dude, you guys all hate on Klaus Schwab and all these— you hate on the World Economic Forum, uh, but you're an XRP supporter and your boy Brad Garlinghouse is on the board. He's on the board. So I'm— I feel like I'm one of the only ones on here that admit that Ripple is not all like rainbows and unicorns, dude. And Brad is not all rainbows and unicorns either. Right? You cannot— like, it's very crazy that people— how people are positioned on this. It's really weird. Um, and it does relate to probably getting money and wanting XRP to go to crazy prices. Here's another quote from Brad. He said, I remember when I first met with the SEC and Jay Clayton was there, and there was never a suggestion that XRP was a security. Insane. Right, so this was— this looks like it's all a plan. Ripple as a company, we have grown gangbusters over the last 2 years. We have signed hundreds of customers outside the United States. Outside the United States. And it would suck, and it's a stupid move for the USA to shut Ripple out. Uh, they say they seriously need to just accept Ripple, um, and let them operate in the US. Uh, speaking of the SEC and U.S. laws, we have a senator, U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper— what a name— Hickenlooper, uh, is— he's writing to urge the SEC to issue, um, he's writing to urge the SEC to issue— hold on, uh, issue regulations for digital asset securities through a transparent notice and comment regulatory process. Given the complexity of these issues and recognizing that some digital assets are securities, others may be commodities, and others may, may subject to a completely different regulatory regime, a formal regulatory process is needed now. So this is another senator basically calling on the SEC to hurry up and get a formal regulatory process in place. Um, it is time for the SEC to actually engage. Last, uh, second final thing right here. Morgan Stanley, the ex-Morgan Stanley CEO, admits crypto could be a huge way powering monetary transactions. Uh, he says, take crypto, it's hard for me to understand why it has value. Like, dude, how? I don't understand. Some of these extremely smart traditional finance people still have problems like understanding why crypto has value. He says 50 years from now, maybe that will be a huge way that monetary transactions take place. It's a huge way now, not 50 years, dude. This guy is stuck in the trad fi thing. However, he is in support of crypto to an extent here. He says it's easy to wire. You don't wire crypto. You don't have to worry about putting it in a bank. It's on a computer. I like that aspect of this. He says you got to make sure it's insulated, protected, and no one can break into it. 50 years from now, I think things will be even more electronic and driven more and more by input from humans in the computers on how to trade, blah blah blah. Okay, boomer standpoint for sure, but he is right. He is right that It is a huge way right now, and it will become even huger. Now, final thing I want to talk about is on the NFT side of things. Um, the NFT royalties discussion has been going around, and basically people are saying that these projects should have 0% royalties, and like people should change their royalties in their contracts and blah blah blah to 0%. So if you don't know how this works, we're going to go, uh, we're gonna go to OpenSea, okay? We're gonna go to Bored Ape Yacht Club, and I'm gonna give you the most mind-blowing lesson in NFTs ever. If you're like a beginner sort of to NFTs, or even an intermediate, just to understand this in the way I'm about to tell you is crazy, okay? Let's click on a Bored Ape, right? This is the biggest collection, Bored Ape. Let's click here, the details. Here is the actual royalties. Um, it says 2.5, uh, 2.5%. Now let me see, Bored Ape Yacht Club royalties, royalty percentage. Now let's verify. Yes, okay, it is a 2.5%, uh, royalty. 2.5% royalty. Um, and OpenSea is taking a cut of that. So basically Uh, every— so they get 2.5% of this total volume. 2.5% of that total volume goes to them. So if you make an NFT collection, right, and somebody trades one of your NFTs to somebody else, you still make money. So imagine you made a painting, like you drew a painting, right? You sell that painting to somebody for $5,000, they hold it for 5 years, then they want to sell it to somebody else. And they sell it for $10,000, you get a percentage of that sale.
You—
if there's an NFT attached, you get— you still make money whoever it sells to. So NFTs kind of immortalize your work in that way. Like, they immortalize it. Like, you can make money off the same thing. It's like a book, or it's like, um, movie royalties. If an actor chooses to take some of their payment, uh, in royalties from like as from the total amount of what the movie does, that's usually the smartest play. I believe the people from Friends, the Friends actors, they earn $1 billion. Warner Bros. earns $1 billion a year. 2% or $20 million goes to each of the stars every year. So because they chose to take royalties here, they make $20 million every single year off the royalties from Friends. So that might have been a decision in the moment that they, that they had to make, which was take less money in exchange for royalties. But this is something that NFTs have built in, right? So the Friends people, they were offered like a contract. They had to either probably take an upfront amount or they could get royalties on all of the Friends sitcom show and they make $20 million a year because they chose the royalties. Um, so people think that, or people are pushing that NFT projects should have 0% royalties now. The only tweet I put out on this was, and, uh, 0%, 0% NFT royalties are stupid, and I think it will become like a 'we're gluten-free' type of virtue signaling. Um, it's simply a new marketing strategy to position as the good guys. So how I look at it is that this is like the 'we're gluten-free' thing. Just tacking on extra stuff that makes your product better. Like, oh, we're gluten-free, so you can buy it. Or I don't want to compare it to this, and don't cancel me or anything for this, but it's kind of like the, we're cruelty-free. We're cruelty-free, or we're like, I don't know, we're green. Like we're 100% made of recycled plastic or recycled cardboard or whatever. It's really like that. I view this 0% royalty thing. Like people will support the projects more because they're 0% royalty. So it's simply a new marketing strategy to make an NFT project that has 0% royalties and position yourself as the good guys. Like, oh, we're not trying to make money on every single sale. The mint is enough for us. The mint is— I think it's bullshit. It's stupid. So that's my thoughts on that. That will wrap up the daily market update. Make sure you drop a like and comment. Uh, these are long. These have been getting long. 17 minutes. Um, I love every single one of you. Join the Gold Squad Discord, and goodbye.
