XRP Commodity Status CONFIRMED | Why It Matters!

The SEC released a list of 16 digital commodities that aren't securities, including XRP and HBAR. The host breaks down what this means for those tokens, why others were left off, and how it could affect prices as the market reacts to the regulatory clarity.

All right, welcome back to the channel. Today we have a huge announcement that happened in the past 24 hours from the SEC and the new Gary Gensler replacement. Watch until the end, I'm going to explain the Clean 16, which is the 16 tokens that they officially and directly said are not securities. We're going to go over why XRP was included in this, why HBAR was included in this directly, and they named HBAR. Why did they do that? HBAR isn't even in the top 10 assets. We're going to talk about why they did that. We're going to show you the rest of the Clean 16. I'm going to explain why this is extremely bullish, and we're going to talk about some Trump theories on why this market actually could have a pump incoming despite all of the deathly red that's in the market right now. As I'm filming this, we wiped out $5,000 from Bitcoin. We went from $75,000 to $70,000. Uh, but let's just jump right into this. XRP is sitting at $1.50, $1.47. I have indeed added to my long-term bag. I didn't add like tens of thousands of dollars, but I did add some at the 1.5 level. On top of my $2 level. So let's head straight into this. This is Paul Atkins right here. He's the new chairman of the SEC, the 34th. We're out with that 33rd degree dude, the 33rd, uh, 33rd degree SEC chairman, which was Gary Gensler. Maybe we're gonna have better luck when we're not connected to the 33rd degree. So we're on the 34th Paul Atkins. We are going to play this, uh, and show you what he said, but let's dive right in first to tell you the Clean 16. They put out a document, this document right here, and at the end, or near the end of the document, actually no, in the digital commodity section, which is now a term, digital commodities, they have defined this as a digital commodity is a crypto asset that is intrinsically linked to and derives its value from on the programmatic operation of a crypto system that is functional, as well as supply and demand dynamics. We always talk about this on this channel. The only time that cryptos can go up, and the only way cryptos go up, is supply and demand. Okay, is there little supply? Is it a scarce asset like Quant or Bitcoin? Or is it a non-scarce asset like XRP, like HBAR, where there's billions of tokens? and then how much demand is on that token. So a digital commodity does not have intrinsic economic properties or rights, such as generating a passive yield or conveying rights to future income, profits, or assets of a business enterprise. So we all know this, right? When you buy a crypto, you do not own part of that company. You don't own equity in anything. Whereas a stock, you're actually owning shares of that real company, right? That's the difference. And that's why this has been so stupid that we've had to deal with Gary Gensler, Jay Clayton, and the previous SEC. Now let's look at the list here because they go and specifically point out certain coins, which is very interesting. Examples of digital commodities. So these are not the only ones. These are just ones that they're giving direct examples for. Aptos, Avalanche, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Cardano, Chainlink, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Hedera HBAR right in the middle for no reason. No, it is for a reason. We're going to tell you why. But why did they skip all of these different assets right here? Why did they skip BNB, right? Is BNB on there? No. Like, why did they skip, uh, certain assets here? Why did they skip Tron, right? Why did they skip Hyperliquid? These are not even the biggest assets on the planet, uh, specifically Hedera. Then we've got Litecoin, Polkadot, Shiba Inu, Solana, Stellar, Tezos, and they saved the best for last— XRP right there. Okay, XRP is right there. Um, down here we also, uh, in the footnotes here you can see Algorand is there. To be clear, it is not necessary that a crypto asset underlies such a futures contract to be a digital commodity. The fact that these digital commodities underlie such a futures contract explains their selection as examples for this release. For example, based on their characteristics, terms, and functions as of the date of this release, Algorand and library credits, neither of which underlies a futures contract, are digital commodities because they are intrinsically linked and derive their value from the— where does it go? Like, it literally trails off right there— from the programmatic operation of a crypto system. So they're directly saying that yes, there are other tokens that are digital commodities as well. Okay, now HBAR— why the heck are they choosing to mention HBAR over some of these other ones, right? Specifically, like, someone wrote there, or someone sat there and wrote that in, like, we should include HBAR. My theory, um, is that there are certain things that the HBAR Foundation has. They have billions of HBAR tokens, uh, to their name, and they want to make sure that they give good examples of cryptocurrencies that have foundations and certain business activity going on to mark it as okay, to stamp it as okay. So those are the assets. This is bullish for these assets. However, we're not even seeing any move. In fact, we went down because of this and after this. So the headline is always, you know, blasted beyond, you know, the big titles. And, you know, just make sure you're watching the right people, man. The people who are going to tell you the truth. Um, Chainlink, dang, still under $10. What a great deal in my opinion on Chainlink. Let's play this video though and let's break down what Paul Atkins is really saying here.
So today I'm pleased to announce that the SEC's persistent failure to provide clarity on this question is over.
Persistent failure to provide clarity. So he's taking accountability that they've been really vague. The reason they keep it vague is so that they can sue anybody for doing anything that they think is bad.
As we speak, the commission is implementing a token taxonomy and investment contract interpretation, and you should find that in your inbox, or if you look on the website when you get home. Our interpretation, which is grounded in existing law and informed by extensive public input, existing law.
So they have literally taken existing law like the Howey Test and certain things and based it on that. But it's great because this is a new, a new interpretation that's being put out. We don't need to just apply old things to this new cryptocurrency sector. And then public opinion was factored in as well.
The public input establishes 4 asset categories that are not deemed to be securities. So digital commodities, digital collectibles, digital tools, and payment stablecoins under the Genius Act. With these categories in place, the interpretation then clarifies that only one crypto asset class remains subject to securities laws, namely digital securities, which are traditional securities that are tokenized.
So traditional securities that are tokenized are securities, of course, right? If you tokenize the Tesla stock, that is a security because Tesla is a traditional security.
This distinction returns the SEC to its core mission and statutory authority of protecting investors involved in securities transactions. We're not the Securities and Everything Commission.
Anymore. So we are not the Securities and Everything Commission anymore. What a great little joke at the end there from him. He's way better. This dude is way better than Gary Gensler, man, already. And maybe it has something to do with the administration and who selected certain people, but I mean, that's all I'm going to say on that. Uh, so they, they also put out a, like, a, uh, you know, the transcript of the speech right here. So this is all official stuff. This ain't no fake news, you know. We'll still get the weird little haters saying that this is somehow fake news, even though this is all right here. So we've got NFTs are not digital securities, uh, digital collectibles, tools, stablecoins, okay. This is a big deal. Huge, huge, big deal. Now, some of the reactions from the XRP community. Stuart Alderoty here is the chief legal officer at Ripple. He says, we always knew that XRP wasn't a security, and now the SEC government has made it clear what it is. Now, I will tell you a secret, folks, that not many people talk about, okay? When Ripple won the SEC lawsuit, that is technically a lie. They did not win the entire lawsuit for every single claim that was being made against them. They still had to pay a $125 million fine because they did violate securities laws. XRP itself and the transactions that were made by us people on exchanges, that was not a securities transaction. And XRP, the asset itself, cannot be deemed a security. However, Ripple sold XRP to venture capitalists, to hedge funds, etc., in the form of an investment contract saying basically, hey, we'll use your money to make this asset go up and help it go up. And they did get legally proven wrong on that and they had to pay the fine. Okay. So when someone says like, we won the lawsuit in its entirety, no, that is a lie. We did not fully win it. There were still basically laws broken by Ripple and they paid the price for it. And we keep it moving. This happens to every big company on Earth. It's nothing to worry about. Okay, literally every huge company you can think of— Tesla, Amazon— they've all been fighting the SEC. They've had a fight with the SEC, some kind of lawsuit. Uh, the reaction from Hedera was great. Clarity matters. Appreciate SEC for providing meaningful guidance on digital assets. HBAR being recognized as a digital commodity is an encouraging step forward. Supporting innovation for the future digital economy. I am telling you, it's not for no reason that they're picking HBAR. Like, you can't tell me it's for no reason, like they just randomly skipped all these other assets, bro. You gotta skip so many assets to get to Hedera. Hedera is 27th. Um, they didn't even talk about certain other big assets in their examples. Yes, I understand it's just examples, It doesn't matter. There's a reason they put it there, okay? They wanted it to be included, and somehow it got included. My theory is that what they want to make sure people know, that what the HBAR Foundation is doing and how it's set up is a compliant way. Hedera has taken this very seriously from the beginning. Um, how to stay compliant and really caring about that. You can see on September 26, 2021, they had $5 billion in HBAR. Are you kidding me? $5 billion! This is approximately 20% of the supply at the time, 10.7 billion HBAR tokens. Um, if we go to the, uh, if we go to CoinMarketCap here and we go to products and we go to converter and we measure how much money this is currently worth, um, $10.7 billion, uh, we can do, right, so $10.7 billion, uh, is this $10.7 billion? I gotta count the zeros, folks. I gotta count the zeros. Uh, $10.7 billion should be, you know, My eyes are glitching right now. $10.7 billion. There we go. $10.7 billion is currently only worth $1 billion, man. That's how crazy and far HBAR has went down. Okay, that's crazy. Uh, so, you know, they did their restructuring in January of what's next for the Hedera Foundation. They have not even put out a blog post since January 5th of 2026. Okay, January 5th of 2026. We need more activity from the Hedera Foundation. I'm telling you guys, there's a lot of stuff that these utility coins, these ISO 20022 coins, are not doing right. Um, and there's a lot of lies being exposed. Uh, for the ones who are watching this far, I'm actually writing an actual book right now, uh, exposing a ton of different lies. Actually, all of the lies, schemes, fraud, scams, uh, in the crypto space. Because crypto, to an extent, is designed to take your money. For real, for real. Like, I have seen behind the scenes, behind the veil of this industry, being an influencer. An influencer, right, and having a social following, I get access to certain group chats that regular retail people might not be in. And I've seen some disgusting stuff. Okay, so we're exposing it. I'm gonna expose it, um, and it's gonna be awesome. Now, as far as charts, so we went over the reason that HBAR is included. Uh, the other tokens are definitely included for certain similar reasons. It's a very strategic example they chose, in my opinion. XRP though, still hanging on to that $1.35 support right there. HBAR also clutching on to kind of 9 cents, just above 10 cents. This stuff is slow moving. Anyone who tells you that, you know, HBAR is gonna rock it to $1 $2, $3, $100, uh, is laughable, man. You gotta, you gotta tune them out. You gotta listen to the real people in this space, okay? Same thing with XRP. Um, this chart is not going to do something like this, okay? It's not. And that line, my line goes to $15. That's not how it's gonna happen. I'm telling you right now. There will be crashes along the way. There will be dips along the way. There will be FUD, fear, uncertainty, and doubt along the way. And the fact that we haven't been able to break $5 is the biggest tell that something is going on that's very wrong, or doesn't have to be wrong, or the world is not ready for what this asset is, okay? It is not ready. There's an unfortunate reality that certain banks are choosing to build their own private ledgers, okay? They're choosing to build their own and compete. They shouldn't do that. They should succumb and bow down to Ripple because Ripple is so far ahead. XRP is so far ahead. Uh, now the other bullish thing here is this will make these assets way more attractive, uh, for big institutional money and people like that, okay? Because these are cleared, these are the clean 16, okay? We're not even— we're not even experiencing the effect of this yet at all, right? Like, dude, the prices aren't going up, um, and anyone who has watched this far into the video You are a dedicated individual. Thank you for watching, first of all, and thank you for still paying attention to crypto, because dude, this is the time. This is that time where it is just miserable out there. It is miserable out there. Um, you know, it's really bad out there right now with just haters and people. And when I see haters turn up, that's the bullish signal. Now the other thing is right now they have the Clarity Act at a 63% chance of passing in 2026. Do I believe this will happen? I actually do believe this will happen inside of 2026. My only reason is because it's been waiting so long, and I think Trump wants to maybe pump the markets for his midterms in November. Okay, and Clarity Act and crypto market structure bill and all of that Uh, let's see if they have one for the crypto structure, crypto market structure build. Now the reason I like Polymarket, um, is because— okay, they literally don't even have one. Okay, the reason I like Polymarket is because people have to put their real hard-earned money behind this. So it is a great way to predict the future depending on how much volume is in this. Okay, and this market specifically has a lot of volume. You have a lot of people putting their actual money behind this. There's a lot of big no holders, uh, bigger no holders compared to bigger yes holders. Okay, so if you don't know how this works, basically it's gambling. Literally, it's predicting the future, um, and you make money for predicting the future or lose money for not predicting it. Uh, right now if I buy this at 64 cents and then this comes true, it will resolve to $1. So each share— they're not shares— each token, let's say each token we buy, um, at 64 cents will go to a dollar and we will be cashed out at a dollar. Now if I buy this at no, I'm buying in at 39 cents and that token goes to $1 if it's not true. So the Clarity Act is going to be a big push-up, uh, in my opinion. Ultimately, this is a huge deal, probably one of the biggest, uh, crypto SEC announcements ever, because we're actually making progress towards what we need, which is these assets being deemed what they should be, which is just digital assets, digital commodities. Um, and how does this change the market right now? It's not going to change the prices right now, that's for sure, but it changes the confidence and the sentiment that the government is actually caring about this space and trying to push it forward. So if you enjoyed the video, drop a like, let me know your thoughts in the comments. I would love to hear some of your thoughts on this. And links are in the description for the Discord. We've got the private Discord in there. I am soft launching, soft launching, it's a quiet launch right now, uh, the one-on-one mentorship. So this is where me and you get on a call and we discuss your personal crypto goals. I build a strategy document, then we do another call and go over your strategy. Now this is full service, like we're doing DeFi if you're interested in DeFi. And making your crypto work for you. If you have a portfolio sitting there, it's doing nothing for you, right? You could— I mean, it's going up and down, but you could be generating an actual yield on that by using decentralized finance. We're doing trading if you want to learn trading. We're doing meme coins even. Uh, basically you input your personal goals for crypto, um, and we do one-on-one mentorship. Now that's only for serious, serious people, so do not even use the application form if you're not serious, please, because we have to go through every application and deny a lot. We deny basically 99% of them. Yeah, but that's great. Appreciate all of you. Love every single one of you, and goodbye.
