XRP JUST GLITCHED TO $50 - EXPLAINED! HUGE XRP NEWS TODAY!

Crypto Mason breaks down XRP's brief $50 spike on Gemini in August 2023, showing it was a thin order book glitch, not a real market move. A single large sell order on an exchange with few listings at lower prices pushed it momentarily up. He calls it a marketing gimmick and explains why other price trackers didn't catch it.

What is up? I am Crypto Mason and welcome back to the Crypto Mason YouTube channel. Shout out to the Gold Squad. We look for gold in every single aspect of our lives and we always find it. Now today we have sort of an emergency video. I just got out of the ice bath slash the sauna. That's why my skin is looking a little red. Um, but we have an emergency video. XRP has just glitched. Glitched. We're gonna explain everything. Glitched to $50 on the Gemini exchange. We're going to talk about it all. Just to preface this video, if you're gonna go and write a dumbass comment, bro, I understand this means nothing, right? It doesn't mean that, whoa, XRP is going to be $50 in 2 weeks. No, we're gonna break this down and show you what this actually means, what actually happened, um, and you're gonna learn some valuable lessons if you watch until the end of this video. Uh, because you— I think you could have got rich off this. You could have. Some people could have made a lot of money off this. So drop a like if you're an XRP holder. Uh, if we hit over 1,000 likes, I will give away 100 XRP inside of our Discord server, which is free. Make sure you guys go and join that, uh, with the link in the description. Now let's talk about this, okay? Because XRP, uh, has literally hit $50. Um, And, you know, so basically the timeline here is that Gemini listed XRP, okay? They listed it on August 10th. They made a big fuss out of it to pimp the XRP community, uh, into giving them, uh, 574,000 views right there. Um, and by the way, I don't like Gemini. I don't like the Gemini exchange at all. Uh, I've only kind of had bad experience with them, uh, and I'm not an avid user of them, but they listed XRP, right? Uh, and right here we're on Gemini Exchange. Right here you can see that there is a candle wick all the way up to $50, exactly $50, right? How convenient for the headlines, exactly to $50. Okay, so in my opinion Uh, this is a marketing gimmick. This is a marketing ploy, right? They made this whole big rollout of XRP being listed on their exchange, uh, and then they planned— their marketing team— this is all speculation, nothing is confirmed, this is all my opinion, uh, someone from the marketing team says, yo, if we can place a limit order that makes the price briefly spike to $50 because the volume is low then we can get all these headlines and everyone will have to say Gemini exchange, right? Because we've got every big crypto news source coming out saying, you know, the market cap momentarily zoomed to trillions of dollars on Gemini. On Gemini. It's a, it's an advertising campaign. Uh, by the way, if you do want to buy XRP on Gemini or trade it on there, I will leave my referral link in the description for Gemini. We're obviously not sponsored, uh, by them, uh, and I don't like their exchange, so don't use it, uh, but my referral link is there if you do want to get on to Gemini. So everybody's talking about this. There's multiple screenshots. So right away when XRP glitched, I'm like, is this one dude faking the screenshot? But no, there were multiple. So everybody instantly kind of posted this as it happened. Uh, but this is one of the screenshots that I find very crazy. So take a look at this. This is the, the Gemini order book for XRP. So if we look at the very bottom there, you see 1.01, right? And then you can see that person's trying to buy 161 XRP. So the way the order book works is these are all like buy requests, right? These are like buy requests. Uh, so this person up here, uh, wants to buy 16— only 16 XRP, uh, for $1.48, right? So this is very thin, right? It's a thin order book. There's not a lot of orders, uh, before it gets up to $50, right? See, take a look— excuse me— take a look at the $50 mark right there, $100 mark, $120. Those orders set up there don't have— like, you could come in and swoop up all this XRP, um, and you would shoot the price up to $50. So that's a little bit hard to understand, but this guy was watching it all day, and at one point there was nothing for sale. Someone put a lot to sell at $50, and someone must have fat-fingered a market order, and then they were the proud owner of $50 XRP. So someone put these XRPs up for sale at $50, and some other moron, uh, might have just like market purchased or something and bought XRP for $50, because that's how this really works. And when people want to talk about like comparing market caps and all that stuff, none of it matters, right? None of it matters. XRP's market cap technically should have shot up to multi-trillions of dollars within one purchase, right? This is because market cap has nothing to do with the price, right? Like, market cap going up doesn't make the price go up, you know what I'm saying? Price going up makes the market cap go up. So a lot of people have it backwards. All that needs to happen for XRP to go up, or any coin to go up, is that people need to be willing to pay more for it. That's what makes a coin go up— the buyers and the sellers fighting against each other, right, uh, to find a value. So that's why you don't see XRP, uh, have a spike to $50 on the CoinMarketCap chart, because CoinMarketCap is averaging out, um, all of these exchanges that XRP is on. They're not just using Gemini, right? But that's why we can see it on Gemini. That's also why you don't see the market cap, uh, have a spike either. And then here's the Binance chart. Obviously there's no spike on there. Let's see if, uh, Gemini has their chart on here already. I am not sure they do. Uh, I don't— yeah, I don't think— I don't think so. But could you have sold? Like, could you have sold? Well, yes. You could have sold your bag at $50. Yes, right? This person did that. Someone had to buy these XRP at $50, right? So they sold— 1,322 were— was up for sale. I don't know how much of that got purchased, uh, to make it spike, but yes, that, that is the answer. This is not a glitch in the sense that the website just glitched or like a bug happened or something. That's not how— what this is. It's seemingly that the order book was so thin that this actually happened, uh, whether it was Gemini's marketing team that made this happen, uh, and bought up that order, right, or it was some person who actually made a mistake. So that is this glitch explained. Uh, this is not the regular type of glitch. We can't even call this a glitch, right? It's— they would call it a scam wick, uh, where the, the wick goes so high and knocks out everybody's orders. Uh, but this is not a glitch. This is not called a glitch. A glitch is when like the website shows something different than what's actually real. This was actually a real spike on one exchange. No other exchange, just Gemini. So that wraps up this short little video explaining that glitch. Make sure you drop a like and comment. Uh, do I think XRP can get to $50 in the future? Absolutely. $50, we covered that in my last video, uh, how possible that is. So drop a like, comment, subscribe, turn on your notifications, and goodbye.
