Ep51: The AI Expert - How To Crush It With AI in 2025
8 Jan 2025 · 47 min
Chris Champion argues entrepreneurs should do frequent podcast appearances and build AI assistants that work 24/7 to scale. He pitches Opus Clips for turning long-form content into shorts, and his service Champion Introductions, which uses AI to write podcast intros with claimed high reply rates.
What's going on? Team Matt here from the PT Profit, Leverage and Lifestyle show. I've got an absolute legend with me today, Mr. Chris Champion, all the way from the States. How are you today, my friend?
Buddy, I am lit. It's 9 o' clock PST, and I'm talking to a guy in Australia that is just literally grinding away. I have, I have amazing respect for those who hustle, and I absolutely hate those who don't. And if you're out hustling at this hour of the day, I love that. Plus, it's Australia. Everyone loves Australia.
100%. 100%. Well, let's get straight into it. We've always had a little bit of a conversation beforehand, so I'm super pumped to get into a few of the things that we're going to talk about. But for those who don't know you, do you want to give us a bit of an insight into what you've done in your career or what you're doing now? Just to give people some insight?
Yeah. So I'm a lifetime entrepreneur. I started when I was 18 years old, and I realized very early on that I always wanted to be in control of my own life. I wanted to be in control of my own paycheck. And it was funny because when I was 18, I was the youngest commodity broker ever in the history of the commodity industry. Passed my series seven, got a 73, whole story behind that, but I'll say that for another time. And I started realizing that when I got that license, you know, they told me, hey, you don't get a salary. You get what you, you, you get what you make. And it's my manager back then, his name was Pete Marin. He told me, it's like, hey, you're in a room full of lions and you keep what you hunt. You hunt, you hunt what you eat, you eat what you hunt. And at the end of the day, I like that because that month I was third in sales in the entire country out of 250 salespeople. The next month, I was second. The third month I was first. And at the end of the day, I realized life is a competitive sport every single day. You know, if you're, if you're there working a government job, punching a clock, hoping to just get 40 hours of work so you can get that, that paycheck, that, that paycheck and those benefits and all that, well, that, that's, that's selling out. You're selling your. Your opportunity to do more in return for that quote, unquote, Guaranteed paycheck. But not always is that paycheck guarantee, because whenever they decide to let you go, hey, you're gone. I would rather have years of hunting and getting what I eat every single day and learning that, that aspect than literally ever trading my time for some sort of guaranteed paycheck. Now, everyone has a different mindset, and entrepreneurialism is not for everyone. There's a book by, I want to say, Rich Gerber, the eth, and it's a great book. And it literally talks about how being an entrepreneur is a myth. Everyone wants to be an entrepreneur, but only 1% of the people out there have exactly what it takes to be an entrepreneur. You have to be slightly fucking crazy. You have to be slightly fucking insane. You got to be willing to bet on yourself. Most people these days will not be willing to bet on themselves. I just wrote a book that's coming out for the holidays called Faith Matters. And I talk in that book about how you have to have faith in yourself. You have to be your biggest cheerleader. But I look around every single day, even my friends, and some of them just don't have enough faith in themselves. They don't believe in themselves enough to take the greatest leap of faith, the greatest risk of their life, which is basically being an entrepreneur, writing your own paycheck, eating what you hunt, going out and hunting every single day. And by the way, I love hunting. I wake up in the morning sometimes and I'm like, yeah, you know, I think I'm gonna go out and hunt. I'm gonna go out and kill that gazelle that I've been thinking about. And at the end of the day, some people just aren't built like that. Some people just want to have those six weeks paid vacation, punch the clock, get those 40 hours a week paid, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I kind of, every morning I want to wake up a little bit and go, you know, kind of feel like getting some raw meat, you know, know, something somebody can cook in the barbecue. Something that I actually hunted and got myself.
Yeah, it's a good analogy that you do that. So we were, we were obviously talking before we started recording about a lot to do with AI. So I'm a very big fan of AI. And every single day I'm looking at more things to automate, delegate, eliminate from the business. So I'm super keen to hear your thoughts on that. We were just talking before we started about a lot of entrepreneurs are going to get left behind because they're not utilizing AI. So give us your insights or your thoughts on AI as a whole and where do you think it's actually going?
So I've been in software development for over 30 years, and AI is the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life. And I've been working in AI now for over a year now. And the thing that I've realized is in 2025, there's only two things that entrepreneurs should be looking to do to scale their business and their brand. One is get on as many podcasts you can, because those are long format advertising units. You can talk about yourself, you can talk about your brand for an hour and literally have a long amount of time to talk about your brand and your products so that people can learn as much as they can about you. Whereas, you know, maybe you get an Instagram ad and it's 3 seconds or 15 seconds long, and once that ad is seen, it's gone. You got to pay for another ad, it's never going to be seen again. Whereas podcasts are evergreen content. People are going to see those podcasts this year, next year, the year after, five years from now, someone's going to see this podcast, know about me and my brand, and say, you know what? I got exposure to that brand. I'm going to reach out to that guy. Maybe I might even do business with that guy. So number one, in 2025, if you're not getting yourself booked on podcast, you, you are wasting your fucking time. There's no other brand way to get your brand out there, advertising wise, than podcasts. Podcasts are number one. I'll give you a great example. We just had our election this year in America. One candidate did a shit ton of podcasts. Another candidate, mouth full of fucking marbles, did hardly any. The other candidate, the one candidate that did all the podcasts, did Joe Rogan for three hours. And people were able to get to know the candidate over three hours. You get to know this guy. You're like, hey, that guy seems like he'd be a great president. The other fucking candidate, she couldn't even fucking read anything off of a teleprompter half the time. When people, when people saw the differences between the two, they were able to read. They were able to see a ton of podcasts and they basically knew one candidate over the other. What happened? Trump won the popular vote for the first time in, I don't know, 50 years. It was unheard of. He, he wiped up the more floor with him. The Democrats lost the presidency, they lost the Senate, they lost the Congress. How did they do that podcast. Podcasts were the kingmaker of 2024. So if you can't pay attention to what's going on around you, you're going to miss the bus of the opportunities around you. It is clear as day that if you're a business or a brand or an individual, you have got to tell your story on podcasts and it doesn't matter. People are like, oh, why are you doing a podcast at 9 o' clock at night with a guy in Australia? Because he's there, he's hustling, he's got the right DNA. Who the fuck cares if he's not as big as Joe Rogan? It's a chance for you to put content out there that literally touches people. Maybe in Australia, maybe in New Zealand, shout out to the fucking Kiwis, maybe in fucking Asia. But it doesn't matter because that's content. And anytime you can do long format content where you have time to talk about your brand, talk about your product, talk about what you do, let people get to know you, that's an opportunity to put your brand out there. Now that's number one. Number two in 2025, and listen to this very carefully. You have got to figure out a way to get AI to work for you. Now understand this. To get AI to work for you while you sleep, to work for you 24 hours a day. Now everyone's like, okay, I've used some AI tools. Okay, that's great, because the AI is kind of working for you. But you got to figure out a way to create a digital assistant that literally is working for you and literally bringing you the meat, not the bones. Now when I say bring you the meat again, I'm referring to the lion. Lion. He doesn't want the fucking bones. He wants the meat. He wants the good stuff. He wants the coat ripped off. He wants a big 32 ounce tomahawk fucking steak. That's what AI does. The AI cooks the meat, hunts the gazelle, cuts off the the coat and just brings you like the king you are, the lion you are, like the king you belong to be. And brings you that big 32 ounce tomahawk and says, sir, here's the meat, here's the podcast interview. You do this and we're gonna go book you some more podcasts. So those two things I tell people in 2025, those should be the only two things you focus on to scale your business or, or your brand. If you're not doing those two things, you are going to be left behind. AI is going to separate people by a lot. 90 to 95% of the people are going to be left behind. 5 to 10% of the people are going to embrace AI and they are going to be separated from the pack. It is going to be the greatest separation of wealth and brand building you've ever seen in one year.
Yeah, very powerful. One thing that resonates with me, by.
The way, is that the first time anyone's used the hunting of an animal in the description of AI.
Yes, correct. I've had a few, I've had a few people on here that have their own type of AI software, but that's the best description I've heard.
And by the way, there's a big difference between using AI software to edit your film clips or give you some answers to a legal question. That's one way to use AI. But you got to figure out a way to get AI to work for you 24 hours a day while you're sleeping. And that's called AI assistance. And that's a big difference. But you got to figure that one out because every single night I get 40,000 man hours of work done from an AI assistant that works for me 24 hours a day. Think about that for a second. I would have to hire a human being and they would have to work 20 years to do what, what my AI does in one night. That doesn't scare you? It should, because that is scary.
So let's, let's break that down because obviously my audience is personal trainers and a lot of people in the fitness industry are actually scared of AI as well. Yes. Of how much they can actually do in terms of correcting form and technique. They're writing structured training plans. What type of stuff do you think personal trainers could automate or even the AI assist, as you said, what type of stuff could they get them to do in their business?
So let's think about this for a second. It's personal training. Name me three personal trainers off the top of your head that come to mind. Three big names.
Great question. I don't know any big, big names. Let's just say me, for example.
Okay, so you, I would say David Goggins. People read his book and they consider him a way to get into great physical shape. And even though he tells you get fucking hard, man, so he gets your mind right too, but he also gets your body right. As a personal trainer, you have to build a personal brand. What you're doing right now. Matt, I'm going to take all of this interview and I'm going To chop it up and share it on my social media to my audience. Well, guess what? People are going to find out about Matt motherfucking Dart down in Australia. Well, guess what? You're building your personal brand by doing this interview, spending this hour. At the end of the day, if I'm a personal trainer, I don't care where I'm at. Australia, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Utah, Chicago, New York. You have to build a personal brand to separate yourself from everybody else. And there's a ton of them out there. And the way they do that is they get frequency. You should probably write that word down. Frequency. The more people see your face, the more it doesn't matter. If you got a face like this, I'm bald, you know, I got a little bit of facial hair. If you got a face like this, which probably won't be on the COVID of GQ anytime soon, and people see it over and over and over again. They get used to your face, they get used to your brand, they get used to your message, they get used to the whole talking with the hands thing. And after a while people go, hey, I know that guy. That's Champion, that's Champ, that's Chris. And at the end of the day, you've got to get your personal brand to stand out. And how do you do that? Frequency? People have to see clips after clips after clips after clips. And the best way to get frequency is do an hour long interview with somebody that can chop into 20 different, 20 different clips. I guarantee you, you put those clips out there, do another interview, another 20, do another one, do 20 of those a month. That's 400 clips a month that people are browsing. 30 second little tic tacs of knowledge about you. I call them tic tacs because when you get, when you get 30 seconds of a clip of somebody, you're like, oh, it's a breath freshener. Yeah, I like that guy. That guy, that guy talks. He talks with his hands. I like that. You know, and people want tic tacs of knowledge. They want tic tacs of introductions. Yeah.
One thing that stands out is I've been doing this recently as well about the content creation. Like I started my podcast, only would have been about 11 months now. And I've got so many clients from the podcast because they binge the content. They just go episode after episode after episode after episode after episode. And obviously builds trust and likability. And then I become the authority in the industry.
Yeah. And after 11 months, how many clips are there of you doing an interview. I bet you there's at least a thousand. Maybe two thousand.
Yeah. So many. Too many to count. So much.
So. So there's like 2000 Tic Tacs where people can take a tic tac and literally get a breath of fresh air of content from you and then they can go, hey, I know that guy. That's that guy Matt from Australia. Matt Darth.
Completely agree. So what about the AI assist that you're talking about there? Where does one, where does someone start? Because a lot of personal trainers are only just starting to use AI. So where do people start when they're wanting to start to integrate AI into their business?
So my company, we've champion experiences, we've set up a managed services where we literally give them somebody that helps set up the AI assistance and we literally create an AI clone of them digitally so that we literally have the AI work on their behalf. It's kind of scary. It's insanely scary, the shit we're doing. And we literally, we give them a human being as an interval so that they have a managed service. Because some people, they're a little scared to do this stuff on their own. So if they've got somebody they can ask questions for, or how do I do this? Or should I do TikTok, or should I do Instagram or should I connect all my, you know, stuff. So what we do is we give them a managed service so that we can walk them through it and then literally be there for them at a beck and call.
So what type of stuff are they doing there? When you say AI assist, are they responding to or they're doing social media, are they doing calls? Are they doing messages in DMS or what?
The one thing that we've got the AI doing very well is we get our clients connected and introduced to podcasts that fit their target audience. So we're literally introducing them every single day to the right podcast.
And.
And we're getting not only an open rate on emails and messages of 90%, but we're getting a reply rate, a reply rate of 20%. Think about that for a second. 20% of the people that are contacted are replying and saying, yeah, fuck yeah, let's do this.
Wow, that's. That's huge numbers.
It's insane. It's insane. You talk to anybody out there that's ever done any type of either text or email marketing, there's no fucking way they're ever going to see a reply rate of 20%. And I can show you real numbers.
Yeah, yeah, I was going to say even me, like, I'm happy with the 40% open rate, let alone.
Yeah, we're getting, we're getting consistent. 79 to 94%. I got one guy right now, right now that's getting 99% open rates, 99%. Now, the reason is he's getting a targeted audience. He said the right audience, number one. But number two, our AI actually does what's called conversational communication, where it conversates in that email and talks to them exactly like Gary would be talking to him. And each email is written differently and uniquely so that we pick parts out of their most recent podcast. So it feels like a comfortable conversation.
Yeah, well, that's obviously pretty much how we connected, of course. Which is, which is awesome. So I've kind of seen it live.
I hate to tell you, I actually didn't listen to your podcast. It was a digital version of me. But from what my AI assistants told me, he said that was amazing.
No, I appreciate that. That's obviously good that I made the cut, which is good.
Well, you replied and here's the crazy thing. You're one of 20% of the people that I reach out to that reply. Now think about that for a second. One in five people, four don't reply. One in five replies. And all I'm doing is I'm dealing with the people that reply. The other four, my AI manages all that for me. So I'm literally getting the 32 ounce tomahawk steak put right in front of me and all I have to do is eat it. By the way, I didn't refer to.
You as the steak. So obviously podcasting has obviously gone absolutely ballistic the last couple of, of years. So I take three years.
Yeah, the last three years it's been insane.
Yeah. This is just my personal opinion as well. I think majority of social media will go to more long form content as well. Like obviously we've got the, you know, this, the really short format tick tock and Instagram reels and stuff to grab people's attention. But I think more and more people are enjoying the long form content just to actually get to know someone during that time. Because as you said before at the start, you know, if you spend, you know, I watched the Trump podcast with Joe Rogan and so many people was like, oh, that was actually so interesting just to hear an actual conversation rather than something that's scripted.
Now question, after that podcast, did you watch the whole podcast?
Yeah.
What did you think about Trump afterwards? Like, what did you think before and what'd you think afterwards. And I don't care if it's positive or negative.
Yeah, well, even before I quite like. I like Trump before, beforehand. But afterwards, it was actually quite interesting to see, you know, what he would do.
And down in Australia, they'd say, you're a racist, then. No, just kidding. Or something else.
And same with, like, Elon Musk as well. Like, I already like. I somewhat like Elon Musk as well. But after listening to or watching the podcast, I was like, he's actually just a normal, normal person. And he's.
Elon's, like, literally the greatest human that's ever been alive. And what he's doing for mankind is amazing. People don't even realize he doesn't talk enough about neural link. Are you familiar with neural link?
Yeah.
He's literally helping people who are paralyzed in a wheelchair live a better quality of life because he's able to connect things in his brain that allow him to control things in the outer world.
Yeah. It's crazy.
And like.
Like, he'll. I can't remember what they call. I think it's Optimus. Optimus The. The robot. Just to help everyone in everyday. Everyday life, buddy.
I went to that event up in San Jose, and I gotta tell you, those robots were insane. Like, they'd have conversations with you and you'd be like, okay, this shit's unbelievable.
Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Where the world's gonna go in the. Even probably in the next five years, I reckon it's going to be pretty.
I don't think. I don't think it's five years. I tell people, I think it's like one year. Watch. AI is like. You ever play Pac Man?
Yeah.
Yeah. It's like the Pac man, it's just eating up data. It's growing at an insane pace.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, let's talk. Like, I know obviously it's going to be pretty massive changes in one year, but where do you kind of see it going in, like, three to five years, for example? Where do you kind of see it going?
I mean, I think we're in three years. We're living in the future. And we've got. I'm not kidding you, we've got robots everywhere. They're doing jobs. And I don't. I think. I think it's almost going to be scary because if we don't figure out how to take care of 90% of mankind, I mean, we're going to see a big displacement of wealth and the people that embrace AI and the people that don't for whatever reason, maybe they just don't have the, the opportunity to embrace it or they don't have the knowledge or the desire. I think it's going to be a huge displacement of wealth. I think we're going to have a massive amount of people unemployed. I think we're going to have a massive amount of people homeless if we don't address that one critical component of AI, because I will take over every job. Lawyers will be out of work. Granted. Who cares? You know, they're lawyers.
Love it. I, I agree, because Elon was talk. Talking about like a universal income type of thing has like a, like a base, base level of income because of how quickly AI can, you know, take jobs.
And yeah, that's gonna have to happen. Like, I don't know how they're gonna do it, but that's gonna have to happen.
Yeah. Yeah. Pretty. Pretty scary stuff. Like even the, the, you know, the, the robot taxis and stuff that Tesla's making or Elon's making. I think I'm gonna be here next year.
Let's agree. If you're an Uber driver, you got like about 12 months before some robots driving your car.
Yeah, yeah. And so many people obviously rely on, you know, Uber, Uber, Uber Eats and that type of stuff, but pretty scary stuff with, with the AI side of things as well.
By the way, for the record, I'd rather have an AI robot deliver my UberEats because no way he's eating my fries.
Too true. Too true. With. With the AI side of things. A lot of personal trainers are obviously wanting to beat online personal trainers rather than face to face. So obviously you've looked at AI Assist that's going to help people getting on podcasts and that type of stuff as well. What else can people do with AI to help either automate or eliminate stuff from their business that they don't have to worry about anymore.
Well, here's a lot of things too. You can't be as a personal trainer in two places at one time, but with AI, you can be. And that's the beauty is we're building conversational AI assistance for individuals and those same thing, those same tools can be used for personal training. I mean, I'm building AI assistants right now that are literally exactly like the client that we're building it for. They talk like them, they think like them, they reply like them. It's insane.
Yeah. Wow. So how does that even, how does that even work? How do you actually build that type of stuff? All through encoding, I would imagine.
Yeah. So you have to. You have to extract a lot of information and data about a human being. But the nice thing is most human beings have social media, so you can literally take an AI and you can create a clone of that person's digital footprint on the Internet or on social media and let the air consume that. And over time, the air is going to realize, hey, I'm a fucking Chicago Bears fan, even though I hate the fucking ownership, the air is going to know that I swear every third word. After a while, the AI is going to consume all my social media and realize these are parts of my personality that it's going to embrace.
Oh, well, what about all these people that are trying not to, or they're trying to avoid AI, or they're trying to go under the radar type of thing that's even possible anymore?
It's definitely possible. And there's going to be people that want to live up, you know, off the radar, off the grid. And, And I, I respect those people. I respect everyone have their own freedom. But you can't, you can't run away from AI. AI is already out of the box and some people are using it nefariously, and there's some people that aren't telling you that AI is pretty scary. Mankind is going to change a lot in the next year. Yeah, I mean, you're going to have robots picking fields of crops instead of human being pretty soon. Why? Because they can pick more blueberries than a human being and they can make sure the blueberries don't get dented. You're gonna have robots working inside of homes. You're gonna have robots working inside of hospitals. I mean, it's just fact. You're gonna have robots picking you up at your house and it's not going to be an Uber driver. Shout out to all the Uber drivers. Hate to say this, but you guys better figure out something else. It's not going to be long before you're replaced. Yeah, and the guy that's eating my French fries, you. I'm going to get a robot to deliver those.
Sounds like it's happened a couple of.
Times, I'm pretty sure, because I've seen the clips on Instagram and I, I know that the guy like opens it up and he makes sure he opens it up slightly and reaches in there like, oh, why? Which, by the way, just so you know, guys, if you're over ordering Ubereats, tip in advance because they probably won't eat your food.
Yeah, good point, good point. So what about. Where do you see podcasts going then? Because obviously podcasts, everyone's kind of jumping on board the. The trend of podcasts.
I call podcasting the kingmaker. Either you get into it and start having conversations. I look at podcasting as a way for me to literally say, hey, I want to get to know this guy for an hour, so let me get on his calendar. And when we're talking, let's let the whole world in on the conversation. So I think podcasting is the new way of building your network of relationships, and I call it the Kingmaker. Because if you look at the podcasting that we had in 2024, it literally helped elect our president in America. Shout out to Trumpy and Baron. Baron, way to go. You got him on the right podcast. Shout out to Joe Rogan, you're the king maker.
Very true. I think anyone in business, in my opinion, obviously needs to have a podcast. I was tossing up starting a podcast for so long as well. Took me so long to actually start. But once I actually started it, you know, I got so much good feedback, and even to this day, I still got really good feedback. So I think, like, for anyone wanting to build a proper brand or personal brand business, it's the. One of the fastest ways to get your name out there, have conversations, and as you said, build your network as well. Like, the amount of amazing people that I've met, from talking to them on podcasts or me being on their podcast, has changed my network. And as they say, you know, if. If you want to increase your, you know, your wealth, your knowledge, you need to hang around people that are smarter than you, wealthier than you, and you'll naturally become a better person.
Well, I tell people all the time, you got to get in the right room with the right people at the right time. But now I would almost add one more thing. You got to talk to the right people on a podcast and share that information. And if you do that, people will get to know me, they'll get to know you, and then ultimately they'll get to know what we're talking about now. By the way, I talk about podcasts a lot. What I really think that people consume a ton of is the short format content. And you said, where do I think podcasts are going to be in a year? I think podcasts are only going to be done so that you can get the. The spicy parts of the podcast and chop it up into short clips. And people love consuming those short clips of data and information. Like they like absorbing a tic tac. Who the doesn't like a tic tac. When you get a tic tac, you're like, oh, that one's good. And then fresh breath and you're like freshy fresh breath. And that's what those clips are, is it's basically a tic tac of information about two parties, two people.
Yeah, it makes, makes so much sense. Like I've recently changed my nurturing sequence, I suppose you would call it, to exactly that. Small bite sized content from the podcast to then get them to. If they want, they can binge the podcast, of course, but you know, short 22nd, 32nd clips that are the, the golden nuggets from the podcast episode. And if that's what's resonating with them, then of course they can watch the full episode. But I'm also sending them to other bits of content. You know, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, you know, X. You just funnel people to all these types of.
By the way, my biggest platform that I'm focusing the most time on is X. I think what Elon's doing, never ever bet against that man. That man is a winner every single time. Shout out to Elon. By the way, whatever clips you make out of this, we're going to fucking tag Elon Trumpy the whole nine yards. This thing's going to get tagged like crazy.
I'm actually. Because if you think X is the. The bomb, I'm actually not using X that much at the moment. So give me your thoughts. Why do you think?
Well, think about this for a second. Based on certain thresholds, he's paying 100% of all the commissions to the creators right now. So if I'm a creator, why would I take 20% from YouTube? Granted, it's a bigger audience or what. All my efforts in the Instagram where the Nazis at Meta might actually ban my account if I say something and I can have free speech and get 100% of the ad revenue that he shares with the creators. I think what Elon's building at X is going to be amazing.
Yeah, just, just to clarify, because I'm not 100% all over the revenue streams on the platforms. So you're saying 100% of. Obviously YouTube takes a cut, so you get 20%. Yeah. Anything on exits? 100.
Yep.
Yeah. Wow.
I mean, unless they change it anytime recently, which I don't think I have, by the way. You said binging. Shout out to the people that make these whole cashews. They're unsalted. This is the bomb.
You've been munching all night on Those ones.
Oh, my God. Like, I gotta. I gotta tell you, I don't know what it is about cashews, but they're like my favorite nut. Macadamia.
I'm actually not a big fan of nuts, to be honest. I mean, right here in Australia, it's quarter to four in the afternoon, so I'm not quite hungry just yet, but.
Late at night, kangaroos tapping on your glass over there. Or some koala bears.
I live too close to. Like, I'm. I'm in. I'm in Brisbane, so. I mean, we do have a fair few kangaroos, but they're in the outer suburbs. I want to play golf. There's kangaroos on the golf course just hanging around. We got.
We go play golf in Florida by. By Doral Trump's golf course. And you got alligators. And not even small ones, like, big ones, too.
Big alligators jumping out in your bowl. Yeah.
I will tell you a funny story. I. I'm not a big golfer, but I went to play golf one time. I drove the. Out of the ball one time throughout the day, and we're literally looking for my ball. And there's a duck. This was in Illinois. There's a duck just sitting there. All the other ducks ran away when we came looking for it, but she's sitting there. I'm thinking to myself, I kind of think my ball was right, like, in this area, but, like, I don't see it. So I literally go to move her a little bit and say, hey, can I see if there's a ball underneath you? Sure. As she's sitting on my ball as if it was an egg, and she wouldn't let me get my ball, she came over and attacked me. So you could have the ball. Don't worry about it. Now, by the way, here's a lesson that everyone will learn about playing golf. There was another instance where there was a tiny little snapping turtle, about this big. Now, I emphasize the fact that they're tiny because if this turtle was a little bit bigger, I'd have lost this thumb right here. So I was around with the turtle. He was on the. On the putting area. And I literally put a ball on the top of a shell. Shell. And I was going to putt it off his shell and try and see if I can make it in the hole. So, like a jackass, I'm around this when I was younger, and the ball rolls right in front of the turtle, and like an I go and reach for the ball, and the turtle's head comes out about 6 inches. Grabs me right here. I, I run up like this. I reach my hand up, he's got me good. And I literally grabbed his neck like this, and he let go. Long story short, I had like a big piece of flesh cut out. Went to the hospital, doctor told the doctor the story. He's like, you know what? You're lucky that was a small turtle because the bigger they are, they can snap through 400 pounds of tether and steel. He goes, their, their bite is pretty much into your thumb. Wow. So if you're watching this video, do not with the turtles when you're out golfing.
So excited. Would have so much power.
You know, I didn't see it either, but the little guy got me and he got me in, in a perfect area. Got me like right here. In fact, I got a scar to this day right here where he got me. And this part of my thumb was hanging out and all fleshy. And luckily his neck was still sticking out from the shell. And I grabbed him and he gagged and I got my thumb back and I put him down. And then I went to the hospital and I told him the story. And they're like, you're lucky, buddy, that, that must have been a baby turtle, because any older you'd be, we'd be sewing up your hand and you'd be, they'd call you four Fingers Johnny.
Jesus. Keep an eye from them on the golf course.
The moral of the story is don't with those turtles. Those turtles, I'm telling you, those turtles are, are much badass than you think.
Love it. Very good. I'll keep an eye out for them. Back to, you know, you said, obviously you guys have your own AI software that like goes through podcasts to funnel people directly to the, to the person for their audience. If someone wanted to start working with you, what's kind of the best way to reach out to get some more information about the service? Podcast.
I'll send you a link where they can sign up. There's a one time upfront cost to set up your AI assistant, then there's a monthly cost. You literally have a digital assistant working for you 24 hours a day. We have the largest database of transcribed podcast data in the world. We have the largest database of verified emails for podcasts in the world. So we have it, we have it very focused on what it does. And it's called champion introductions. We literally introduce you to targeted podcast hosts.
Yeah. Wow, that's awesome. So where are you going to take your business then? Obviously you're well on board with AI, AI assist and that type of stuff. So what's your business going to look like in the next. Let's just say 12 months or even past that, if you like, where you.
If I'm not living in a cabin surrounded by tripwire and bombs and trying to just outlast the. The terminators that are going to come out of Tesla, I'm telling you, I. I don't know what's going to happen the next 12 months, but I tell people these, these three things get your business automated so you can generate revenue and scale quickly, generate as much bitcoin as you can possibly do, and then third most importantly, have a plan, because I'm telling you, the world is going to get pretty chaotic in the next year and a half.
Yeah, let's. Let's talk a little bit about bitcoin. I have a little bit of bitcoin that I've had for a couple of years now. So why do you think people should get bitcoin?
It's the people's money. Every other currency out there belongs to the government. The people finally have their own money. I have a book coming out called Bitcoin the People's Money. And it literally teaches people the reason why Bitcoin is truly the greatest financial tool ever created by. By. For mankind. See, the government has its money and it can print it as much as they want, and they can have no accounting for it. Bitcoin is the people's money, and it uses math to keep everything fair.
Okay, just for someone that is, let's say that they don't know much about cryptocurrency, can you give us a small summary of how bitcoin actually works and why it's such an attractive thing for the people?
The nice thing about Bitcoin is it's very simple. The beauty of bitcoin is it's. You're the bank. Like, right now, if I went to my bank and said, I want to take out $300,000 in cash, you realize my bank's insolvent. They would have to literally ask me to fill out forms, what do I need it for? Then they'd have to order the actual cash. Like, I actually really tried that recently, and my bank had to take a week to get me the cash. Whereas bitcoin, whatever you got, you are in control of it. And you can spend it as you see fit from a wallet that you control. Now, with that comes responsibility, which means, don't lose your fucking keys, because if you do, you're going to lose your bitcoin.
And when you say wallet, which. Where do you store. Where do you store. Store Bitcoin?
Store it in a wallet that is decentralized, meaning it's not owned or controlled by a central authority. If a central authority has your Bitcoin, you don't have it. Not your. Not your wallet, not your keys, not your Bitcoin.
Yeah, okay, gotcha. Because I saw Trump wants to. Trump's all for bitcoin. I saw that the other day. So. And I also saw he was trying to remove capital gains tax on cryptocurrency as well. So I think that, that alone for a second.
Why would you pay back capital gains in cryptocurrency? It's not an. It's not a investment, even though it is kind of. It's a currency. It's a cryptocurrency. There's no capital gains on the US Dollar, granted. There is no capital gains because it goes down in value. Literally the dollar. What it bought 20 years ago and what it buys today is 95% less.
Yeah, that's true. So, yeah, it was.
By the way, that's not just the US Dollar. That covers the UK Australian dollar. Anything that a lot that a politician is allowed to be economically in charge of. Let's agree. One thing. Politicians are two things. Illiterate and corrupt. In most cases, both.
Yeah, yeah, it's very cool. Very cool. Yeah. When I saw all those things about Trump being kind of pretty much all for, you know, bitcoin, it just kind of, you know, skyrocketed. Skyrocketed from there.
So just to temper everyone's enthusiasm, nothing goes straight up in a straight line. I've been in Bitcoin for 12 years. It has its summer, winter, spring and fall.
Yeah, 100%. Like I saw the graph the other day. It was. It was like it went up like 150% back down 80 or 90%. So, yeah, the best way, I always. I don't really look at it anymore. I just kind of leave it and see what happens.
Long term. It's the greatest thing you can do for yourself, your family or your kids.
Yeah. Okay, awesome. Good feedback. And then last thing I want to touch on with, with AI side of things, specifically for personal trainers. Obviously, we've talked about your software in terms of how it can help personal trainers get their brand out there. What are some of the other tools that people can use? I know obviously using the tools is only the start of AI, whereas the AI Assistant is obviously the full version. But what are Some tools that people can use to start to automate their business. Do you have any smaller softwares that people can use as well?
I think one of the best tools that I can tell people about is any conversation you have via Zoom, download that conversation and chop it up in a tool called Opus Clips. Are you familiar with Opus Clips?
I use Opus Clips as well.
Yeah. I mean, very useful, does a great job, has great hooks, uses all the hashtags, really, really gets your message out there. And by the way, video editing is a time consuming thing for a human being to do. Whereas Opus Clips as an AI does a really good job in a very short amount of time. Yeah, honestly, a short amount of time. Like an insanely short amount of time.
Yeah, well, I use it for literally every single podcast episode. So I've been using it for almost 12 months now. And I think like it would like in, in a, like a 45 minute conversation, it would come up with about 20 different reels and it would mark them on how, how good it's going to perform with the hook, with the, with the content, as the transcription, does the captions. And of course you can still edit it if you want to as well, but you know it's going to save you 10, 15 hours a week in editing easily. Yeah. If not more so. Yeah, Open Skip is a really good one. Especially obviously if, if people are wanting to do podcasts and that type of stuff as well.
Well, I know everyone uses it just for podcasts, but I always tell people, create conversations over Zoom and chop those up and you, you might be having interesting conversations with vendors and brands. Chop those up. Those clips, people can absorb those also.
Yep, a hundred percent. I think like a lot of personal trainers as well also have catch ups with their clients on Zoom for check ins. You can also also use that for chopping those up to give insight into what you, what it's like to actually become a client and what it actually looks like on the back end.
Like I said, Opus Clips is one of the better AI tools out there.
Yeah, 100% agree. Awesome stuff. I've really enjoyed this conversation if people want to follow you as well. I think I followed you the other day on Instagram. So where's the best place to follow you? Is it like Instagram? Is it X?
Yeah, follow me on X. I the letter M, Chris Champion. I the letter I the letter M. Chris Champion.
Yeah. Okay, I'll spell like Champion. I'll put the, I'll put the link in the description as well.
By the way, I like to give away stuff at the end of a podcast. And if anyone's watching this or looking at this, I have a paid text community where I introduce people via text message and I can do it all over the world and I've got 934 high value people. If you want to join that text community, I'll, I'll send you the link, then you can do it also and you can share it to all your audience. And normally it's 197amonth, but you'll make connections with people that'll help you level up your business, your wealth and your life.
Awesome. That'd be, that'd be awesome if we can, if we could have that. And I'll obviously pop it on the description as well.
Awesome. Listen, Mark, I gotta tell you, I loved this talk. I love reaching out to fellow entrepreneurs that are in Australia and other countries. I think what you're doing is smart and I think what you're doing in 2025, you're going to scale faster because you're already ahead of the pack. And I guarantee you the more you get out there, the more content you get out there, the more you're going to monetize it.
Yeah, completely, completely agree.
I'll be honest with you, check out X because when you see in takes a while to monetize Expo when you get there, it's worth every penny and what they're building is really amazing.
Yeah, I think as you said before with, with Elon, anything that Elon is involved with generally is for the.
Just bet on him. Yeah, the guy just doesn't lose.
Have you read his book, by the way?
His. Which book?
One with Walter Isaacson where he followed him around for a couple years. It goes into a fair bit of detail on like the, the values that he had, which to be fair wasn't that many but you know, of course everyone has some failures when they're in business. But it goes throughout all the stuff with PayPal, how he started that, you know, starting SpaceX, starting Tesla. Super interesting. Just kind of being a fly, fly on the wall when he was going through all that stuff. But yeah, highly recommend if you haven't read that book just yet. It's a pretty big book. It's, I think it's like six, seven hundred pages. But yeah, well worth it when you, you know, learning from the master.
I think Elon has let people know who he is. He's been very transparent and I think, I think one of the best things about him as a human being is he's putting humanity first. You know, you look at other people that are successful, they're not putting humanity first. They're putting either their company or their personal brand or their money first. Elon and everything he's doing is putting humanity first. And that I respect, by the way. Elon, if you're watching this video, we're going to talk one day. We're going to do an interview. We're going to chop it up. You just don't know it yet, but it's going to happen.
Amen. Amen.
By the way, just for the record, Bill Gates, if you're watching this, we're never gonna talk. You're just a weird.
Not a fan of Bill Gates. Not a fan.
He's a. He's a parasite on mankind. I'm pretty sure his wife, if she could spill the beans on him, would say that he worships Satan on a daily basis and he's trying to figure out new and improved ways. See, Bill Gates moved my camera. We talk about in the hand of the Satan themselves. Moves the camera just so we don't talk about Bill Gates. But I'm. I'm pretty sure that guy's the most evil plant. Him and George Soros, they're. They're running neck and neck for the people that worship Satan the most.
Yeah, yeah. I don't know enough about. About those two people to come.
Listen, don't worry about it. I'll say. I'll say all the dangerous words so they never take you off the air. But I'm going to tell you right now, if you just read a little bit about what Bill Gates is involved in, everything he's involved in is designed to knock off and kill humanity. In fact, he stood in front of an audience and said, I want to lower the global population. Well, how the fuck do you do that? You kill humanity. You kill people. So that guy's. That guy's goal in life is to kill people. And by the way, you can prove me wrong if you want, but there's actual video of the guy saying, I want to lower the global population. The only way you do that is to kill people. You kill babies, you kill people. In the Congo, you release viruses. Not saying you did it, Bill, but you probably did. At the end of the day, that guy wants to kill humanity. Prove me wrong. I could be wrong. Probably not.
Awesome. Thank you so much for the conversation. It's been great fun.
Yeah, we got. We got some good, juicy bits there.
Oh, yeah, definitely. Thanks again.
