Podcast interview (May 2024) with Morgan T. Nelson about his journey from carpenter to financially independent entrepreneur, emphasizing mindset, environmental influence, goal-setting, reinvesting in personal development, and practical productivity systems. The episode also promotes Morgan’s events (Dream Fest) and offers tactical advice for solo personal trainers and small-business owners on scaling, structure, and daily execution.
All right, what's going. Everyone, My name is Matt Dart. I'm the host of the PT Profit, Leverage and Lifestyle show. Got an absolute superstar on with me today, Mr. Morgan T. Nelson. I've known Morgan for a few years now, back from network marketing with. With Isagenix, and I've seen him flourish with multiple businesses. Multiple companies. So, yeah, I'm super excited to. To dive in. How are you today, my friend?
Mate, I am good. Yeah. Blast in the past. Hey, it's been a hot minute since we've connected, so it's good to see everything you're doing here, the podcast. So, yeah, man, I'm fired up to be here and chat with you guys.
Awesome. So, for those who don't know, do you want to give us a quick rundown of your history? I suppose, like, as I said, like, we met during the network marketing stages, which is probably. Probably about four or five years ago now, to be honest. Do you want to run us through kind of what's been happening in your world?
Yeah. Since then?
Yeah. Yeah, go for it. Oh, no, you can.
Yeah. Yeah.
If you want.
Yeah. Well, long story cut short to kind of give context for listeners is, you know, before the whole world of entrepreneurship and business, I was a carpenter. So I was working away every single day, you know, 12, 13, 14 hours a day, sometimes seven days a week for weeks on end. And it didn't take me too many years. I think it was about three years working as a carpenter before I really started to look for other ways to make money. I'm like, this. This can't be the only way. And I came across network marketing. That's where we. We found each other. I had no idea what it was. It's funny, like, because if everyone listens, this is a pt. They've probably definitely got their different stigmas of isagenics, for sure. I would probably say being in the health and wellness space. But luckily, I didn't have any kind of stigma or nothing like that. So when I came into it, I just saw it as a vehicle. I saw it as an opportunity to make money online. I had no idea about any of it. And, you know, it kind of opened me up to the world of entrepreneurship, opened me up to the world of business, personal development. And that's when I really kind of started to work on my mind because I understand that we all want to have massive success in our life. We all want to have amazing results. We want to be on a beach like what you're on right now by Oxford. Right. We all want to be in, have this freedom, but why don't we do it? I've never, I've trained tens and tens and tens and tens of thousands of people in person and online all around the world now. And I've never met someone that has said to me, if I said to them, hey would you want to have a lot of money and all the freedom in the world? I've never had anyone say no. So everyone's got the goal, but why doesn't everybody achieve it? Why doesn't everybody actually pursue it? And I started to get fixated on this because I started to want to tell my friends about network market. I'm like, why don't you guys do it too? And there was all this conflict and friction and I didn't get it. And I started to really understand the mind. And what I understand now is about 80 to 99 of all of our results in life come from our mind, only our psychology. Because the skill set, the skill set and the how to do business is quite simple really. Like all we need to do is find a problem. Okay, like find, find an ideal client, a niche, who's, who's the people that, what's their problems? Can we create a solution to their problem? Then you create an amazing offer that they can't say no to and then you over deliver like crazy. Like that's kind of it. Like business is very, very simple. But, but why does it so many people get stuck. Why do people get stuck in the self doubt, the judgment, the procrastination, the self sabotage, all these types of things. It's all to do with psychology. And I got absolutely freaking obsessed on this. And you know, two and a half years into my journey, I was financially free. I moved to Mexico, I never worked a job ever, ever since then. And you know, grew that business pretty well as the number one incomer in the whole company under the age of 25 years old. And then when I just kind of transitioned out of it, because naturally I, I wanted to keep teaching people about mindset. I want to keep teaching about all the things that helped me in my journey. And by the time I was 28, we've made now millions of dollars online. I've started my own companies that teaches just personal development, mindset business. So we run seminars now. I think you've been to one, you know, so we run like seminars, we have dream vests, we do all these types of things because we're, I realized is for the last decade, I'm 30 now. So for the last nine years I have just been absolutely assessed on one thing. One question. How the did I go from this absolute mess at 21 to then financially free by 23? How on earth did that happen? I've been obsessed on that. And my whole life's work now is actually teaching people the things, the formula to create their dream life as well. So that's the huge thing we're kind of doing now because I have nailed it down to an absolute method. I call it the Dream Out Loud method. I've narrowed it down to a formula that people can follow and literally create any sort of life they choose. If that's the big thing, if they choose it. Because the thing is, a lot of people have these limitations, but the fact is, if they fight for their limitations, then they'll sure keep them. Most people have limitations, but they'll, they'll defend them. I say, why don't you build this business? Oh, because little Sally might, Might think this of me. But what. Who cares about selling? Oh, but you don't understand, Sally, right? People have these limitations. They have these things inside their head and they defend who they. They are. So, you know, the psychology of our performance matters way more than the vehicle that we're actually in, the work that we actually do. So that's, you know, that's kind of brings up to what we do now. And yeah, like you said, with multiple companies now, you know, traveling around the world, having fun, doing our thing and. Yeah, that's our main. That's my main story, I guess.
Yeah. Awesome. Yeah, I have done a few of your events, so, like, I, I don't live down on the Gold coast anymore, so I try and do some of your stuff when you're up here in Brisbane. But yeah, I'm, I'm curious to know, like, obviously the mindset's been a massive shift for you over the last, you know, you know, probably seven, seven, eight years or so. But I've noticed a lot of people from network marketing are also kind of. I don't know if this, if you're still doing network marketing, but like, for example, Reese, uh, Race, I know is, you know, running his own business now as well. So do you feel like that kind of set you up to run your own business in effect?
For sure. You know, like, network marketing is great because 9, like, you can fail 99% of the time and still succeed over there. So it really, it's like the training wheels for entrepreneurship. And if you look at some of the most successful people in the world, they've started in direct Sales, right. A lot of these people, like Warren Buffett for example, he, he owns network marketing companies, right? So everyone's got to start somewhere. So I think, you know, if I go me back, I was talking with a friend this morning actually about this, and I'm like, I think it's still a great place. It's entrepreneurship breeding ground because you gotta learn how to sell, you gotta learn how to do marketing, you gotta learn systems, you gotta learn leadership, you gotta learn self discipline, you gotta actually show up for yourself time and time and time and time and time again. You got to, you know, you got to get rejected over and over and over and over and over. So there's all these things that just build your character, you know. So, yeah, we look at Reese, like Reese gone down really well. He's got another company. He's got I think three or four companies now, you know. So I know a lot of people that have started in networks marketing space. They've gone to do huge things because it's, it's literally like your training wheels. So I really don't think there's anything bad to come out. Network marketing. But no, I don't, I don't build it anymore. I haven't touched that business for about four years now.
Yeah, very good. So like, a lot of people in, in my audience are working just, just like solo. So they run their own business. They don't have a team or anything like that. So what are, what are some of the common, I suppose, trends that you see with people that are running their own business in terms of what's getting in their way? Do you feel like it's like, is it limiting beliefs? Is it the stories that they're telling theirself than themselves? Is it the environment that they have? Is there, is there some trends that you, you've, you've seen over your time?
Yeah, I see, I see a lot of things. But one thing that will come back every single time is the one thing that pisses most people off and they never want to actually know it. And it's the person that stares back at them in the mirror every day. They wake up. You know, like most people are, in their own way. That's, that's the reality of it. But you know, you mentioned environment, you mentioned fear. It's a combination of so many things. But, you know, let's break it down for a second because fear, there's judgment, there's all these types of things that happen internally for us. Limiting beliefs, sure, all these things could happen. But I like to Find the shortcut. I like to find the shortcut. And what they've taught, what they've tested, what they've found out time and time and time again, is that the power of our environment? And we've all heard this. We've heard. You know, Jim Rohn says, you. You're the sum of the five people you strain off with the most. We've all heard this. But when you actually look at the science behind it, this is insane. So psychologic psychologists did this test, and this is the first test they did on human beings when they started studying people. It's called the ASH experiment. And they put four lines on a board. One of the lines is double the length from the other sides of their lines. And they put four people in a room. Three of them are paid actors. One's a real person. They say they. The actors go in there and circle A, which is the wrong answer. So they go in, they ask the people, they say, hey, put a line. Put a circle around which one here is different from the rest? So all the actors, they circle A, and it's the same as the rest. And the real person goes in. He's like, what the hell are you talking about? Clearly, this is double the size. He circles C. And then they reset, and they do it again. They tell him, do the exact same thing. They go in, and he looks at them, this time with a little bit of doubt in his eyes. He's like, no, it's C. I swear, it's C. Like, right? And then they redo this. They redo this. They redo this. They redo this four, five, six times, usually. What happens every single time, by the time they get to the sixth, the real person circles A as well and joins in with the pack. And what they've shown, because we've got three different parts of our brain, and. And I've talked about this experiment. Sometimes people like, oh, I would just choose to see still, like, yeah, like, probably not, though, right? You probably wouldn't. Because there's a part of your brain that runs all of your behavior without you even knowing. And it's called, you know, it's called the mammalian brain. It's our instincts. It's our primal instincts. It's the oldest part of our brain. It's anywhere between 2 to 10 million years old. This brain. It's got so much coding in there that says to us, this is safe, and this is not safe. And if we think back 10 million years ago, you're a caveman walking around. Where are you safer with the clan or without the clan. You're walking down, you're trying to go get yourself some food, you're going hunting, and a tiger jumps out in front of you. View with a hundred of your brothers, you'll slow that tiger. But if you're by yourself, you're okay. So the primal brain understands that we are safer when we're with the clan. And the number one pride directive of the unconscious mind is to stay alive. Like it keeps us safe. So it's really important to understand this. When we're looking at business, we're looking at growth. The, the main thing our brain is doing is analyzing everything, 2 million pieces of information every one second. Our brain analyzes, okay, and it's going, is this safe, is it not? If it's not safe, I'm going to avoid what's not safe or what I perceive will be painful. Because we don't want pain, we don't want death. That's the main thing we'll do anything to avoid. So if we're looking at the environment and there's been so many tests like that done, wouldn't it make sense that if you're surrounded by people, that if you're thinking to yourself, like, hey, I want to. I want to be entrepreneur. I want to be a business owner. I want to start, I want to do my own thing. But all the people around you are normal. All the people around you are mediocre. All the people around you, they don't have goals, they don't have ambitions. And when you say to them, hey, I want to be an entrepreneur, they laugh at you, they ridicule you, and they say it's never going to work for you. What are you talking about? People like us, we don't do those things. Eventually what's going to happen is it's going to drown out your own inner ambition and you're going to join in with the pack. You'll give up what you know is true, you'll give up what you actually want to do because it's safer for you to fit in. But the most horrible thing is you'll fit in, you'll be with your clan, but you'll always know that you gave up on what you know you could do. So a lot of people continually fighting between these things in their head. So the environment, you know, if we want to look at how do we solve the problem? Change the environment. It's like the main thing I talk about, main thing I talk about is change your environment. The fastest way to most successful in life is to get around people that believe a lot more than what you believe. That they believe themselves more. They, that their normal is. We do business, we do, we're entrepreneurs, we, we are successful. This is what you do. This is how you be happy. All these things. Because if they're talking one, one talk, right? If they have one conversation, what's gonna happen? Eventually you're gonna be like, well, if my old beliefs say that I'm not good enough, I can't do this. But all these people really do believe themselves. Eventually, what's going to happen? You're going to do what feels normal to do for the pack. You'll be brainwashed, but you'll be brainwashed this time in a more positive manner. So, you know, the, the environment is the most crucial thing that, you know, keeps people kind of getting stuck. And it's the thing that they're not very aware of. And then if we look at the next thing, you said fear, you know, scared money don't make money. I see a lot of people in the beginning scared to do stuff with their money. They go make their first $10,000, $50,000 and they think they're going to keep it all until the day they die. Like, I was literally just before I got on this podcast, I was thinking how much money I spend per month on my health. This, this month I think we've spent about three and a half grand on my health. And that's nothing like big out of the usual. Like, yeah, we bought some extra supplements, but all my products, like we do a lot of. And I was thinking I'm like, that's. I spend nearly a full time wage on my health. And, and I thought, well, I can't take the money to the grave now. If I can live longer or get more done out of my days, then I'm happy to invest that. And I'm always like that around my health. I look at if it's, if I'm putting money into an asset, it's an investment. But if I'm blowing money at the pavilion on the weekend with the boys, that's a liability. So I'm always happy to invest into assets. And the number one asset, Warren Buffett said, Warren Buffett, number one investor of all time, they said to him, who, what has been your best investment you've ever made? And he goes, best investment I ever made is, is personal development. He invested in a Dale Carnegie program decades ago and he learned how to sell. He learned influence. He said, the best thing I ever did was invest in myself. So you know, the thing that kills a lot of business owners from the beginning is being scared to invest. So they stay stuck as solo entrepreneurs, the solo printers, they try to do it all themselves. They don't invest in mentors, they don't invest in programs, structure, systems, learning. You know, every, every dollar I make, I put it right back in the business. I mean, my accountant, they're not too happy about. They're like, oh, Morgan, you spend this much money this month? Yeah. Like what's the, what's the point? Just like I stuck up cash in my business, in my account. Why I didn't, I don't care. Like I'm, I'm reinvesting everything back into marketing, sales, you know, marketing advice. Right. I want to reinvest into my team, get more staff, put more marketing, get more coaching, get more advice. What's the point of just putting money in my bank? Right. It's like not put it back into the asset so it prints even more cash. Yeah. So the biggest thing that stops people is, you know, we're talking about the fear of so many things, but it's controlled by the environment, controlled by the mind. But my advice would be to. But people in here thinking, you know, what's the thing that's stopping them? They're probably scared to invest in that person, in that course, in that event, in that program, mentorship, whatever it might be. And that's the very thing that's actually going to help them get to where they need to go. But you know, that's what we need to go through. Growth is never going to be comfortable. It's always going to stretch us. And if the investment to something is really easy, then as probably the sign that's the wrong thing for you should be doing.
Yeah. 100. The one thing that stands out. And I remember when I first started as a pt, when I invested in my first business coach and I got a lot of backlash from my parents about it, which is, you know, they're just obviously trying to, you know, keep me safe or whatever. But how, how would you even have those? How would you try and, you know, go towards a different type of pack and leave the other pack behind?
Yeah, you gotta locate them. You gotta locate them and not be afraid. I think this comes down to a self trust thing. This is actually what it really is. Like I've learned how to skydive lately. So I've been skydiving solo. It's been super fun. And when I, when I first went and started skydiving, what they do on day one is they put you in a tin shed, 40 degree heat, super hot, and it's just like death by PowerPoint. All day long they're showing you all the ways, like teaching you all the theory, all the ways that you can die skydiving, how to avoid it. So by the end of that day, I was shit scared. I'm like, I don't know if I want to do this anymore. And the next day, I had to wake up and do my first solo jump. I didn't sleep well that night. I called my girlfriend. I'm like, yo, I don't. I don't know if this is a good idea. Like, every part of my body is saying, don't do this. This is dumb. So I don't know if this is fear or I don't know if it's my intuition. And she's like, come home, come home, come home. Like you already. You trust your intuition. I might just let me sleep on it and I'll see. So the next day, I wake up, I'm still myself. And I asked off the question. I'm like, well, what are you, what are you so afraid of? I'm like, it's not the fear of falling. Because like, to be honest, when you jump out of an airplane, you're 15, 000ft above ground. You can't see the ground. That's not. People like, over fear of heights, bro. It's not the fear of heights because you can't see. It's so far up you can't see the ground. So it's like, it's not fear of heights, it's only the fear of falling. And then I said to myself, well, what if you don't open the parachute? I'm like, why the would you not open the parachute? I'm like, why don't I have a conversation with myself? And like, why would. I don't know why I wouldn't. But what if I don't? And that's when it hit me. I go, oh, so it's not the fear of falling. It's not the fear of, you know, any of this. It's the fact you don't trust yourself to do what you need to do at the right time. And I'm like, oh, that's big. And I'm thinking, well, yeah, of course I don't trust. I haven't done it yet. And it's like I was waiting in my head to get the trust, to get the confidence. But the trust, the self trust, the self confidence only comes from first, taking a step of courage. Because confidence is built from doing things that are worthy. People feel unworthy to leave the park and go and hang out with a new group because they don't do things that are worth feeling worthy about. They just do the bare basics. They do the absolute minimum. No wonder you don't have great self worth. No wonder you're not feeling so proud of yourself because you just, you just, you flop every time people don't set big enough goals, they're in set things that are literally worth feeling fucking worthy about. So when I did the first jump, I jumped out of the airplane and when I got on the ground, I just give the biggest scream. I was like, fuck yeah. Was so fired up because it started to reinforce this feeling of like, dude, I'm, I'm a freaking badass. I just jumped from an airplane, got myself to the ground. We're not a scratch. Like, holy. I started to stack these things and this is what happens. So we can be stacked positively or stack negatively. And our mind never forgets. Our mind remembers the time, you know, when, when we say to ourself, okay, I'm get up, I'm doing the morning session or I'm going to do the 75 hard challenge. And you'll post on social media, post and posting. If you get a day 14, day 15, and you're like, man, this. And no one, no one messages you to go, yo, where's your day 15 check in? And then one day goes past two days, goes past three days, no one messages you because everyone's got their own life. And you're like, oh, well, no one even knew, no one knew that I was doing this. But guess what? You knew. You knew that you didn't commit to what you said you're gonna do. So it's, you know, a mentor said to me one time, he's like, morgan, your self worth, your self esteem will be determined by the person who you are. When no one's around, I'm like, oh man. When the person I'm the person I am when no one's around, I'm a wild, right? And you know people, because the thing is, you can't ever avoid your own psyche, you know? So if we're thinking about leaving one pack to the next. The reason you're with the park, the reason you're with the circle is because that's where you feel worthy. You feel good enough to be in that group. The reason you're probably not asking to go to the next group because there's some Sort of self worth thing there, but that comes because you haven't done things that are worthy. So start setting goals, start doing the things you said you were going to do. Start committing to the things, have the integrity, do the things that are hard, push past the resistance, keep going, do these sorts of things. And over time you can start to stack these habits and stack these memories and these feelings of, of confidence and courage and pride and one day wake up and be like, man, I'm, I'm a freaking badass. Right? So yeah, first thing, like actually locate the group you want to get to, but do it. Do a self inventory check on all the things you've given up on and because I, I guarantee you like the reason people probably stay in groups where they just are tolerated, not celebrated is because that's all they set. That's the standard they set for their own life as well.
Yeah. Yeah, well said. I think even, even personally as well. When you say like set goals and stuff, do you feel like, because like obviously it's, you need to obviously have like this huge goal to like create impact and keep you motivated and stuff like that. Do, do you feel like you also need to set small goals so you can also have small wins? Small win, small win to build the confidence up and then that helps you gain momentum to get to the bigger goal? Is that kind of what you're, what you're suggesting there?
That's 100% what I do. Like I, I set a vision, I have a vision, then I set just small targets. That's it. Because I, I'll, I'll do mean hijack my brain. Because dopamine is connected to winning things. If we can, you know, the more dopamine we have, the more confident we feel. The better we feel, the more proud the proud we feel. But dopamine is released when we achieve things, when we win things, when we celebrate things so we can recognize things that we've actually accomplished. Like even the smallest things. I'll even do this if I've, when I've got like my tasks. So I love lists and if I complete things today that weren't on my to do list, I'll write them down and then cross it off again. Because just the actual crossing off of a task on your, on your to do list, release a dopamine. It's like, yeah, I'm getting down, I'm getting done my most productive days. The days I have a to do list, I'm just smashing my list. Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. So I will set a Huge vision. But then break this stuff down into quarterly goals, monthly goals, weekly goals, daily goals. So every single day I can feel like I'm actually on track to the bigger thing. And, and to be honest, I hope I never hit the bigger thing. I never want to hit. I've, I've hit big goals before and I got so pissed off because I was like, well, for two reasons. I was thinking, well, now what? Now what? What's next? And then I also thought, I hit the goal. What if I had to set it bigger? Maybe I would have hit that if I hit the goal. I'm annoyed because we'll often require, we'll demand from ourselves whatever is needed. That's it. Necessity. Necessity is what brings out determination in somebody, right? If I say to someone, hey, go build a million dollar business in the next 90 days and I'll take you on a magical island to Bali. A magical trip to Bali. Some people are a little bit motivated, but they're not going to really disturb their sleep pattern, interrupt their workouts like that, you know, I mean, they don't really care. But if I put a gun to their head, hey, I'll shoot you in the head if you don't make a million dollars. The next 90 days, necessity has been increased. Now the necessity of them having the door is really freaking high. So if we can increase the necessity of actually achieving things in our life, then we're more likely to also get them done too. So yeah, that's, that's how I'll break them down. I think it's a kind of good thing because we, we set a goal, then we'll just go, okay, well what's required of me to achieve that if we set a goal like 10 times bigger? That's why I do. I, I'll just set stupid ass big goals that are so exciting, but they'll demand more from me than I ever would have asked from that I asked for before.
Love it. Awesome. Let's, let's dive into like Dream Fest. I haven't done Dream Fest yet, but I have done some of your smaller events and obviously Dream Fest is obviously like one of the bigger ones. So what can people expect if they come along to your dream first? I know you, I think you recently announced. Kerwin Ray is one of the speakers. I think someone. Who else is. There was one other person, right? Daniel G. Daniel G. Awesome. What can people expect if they come to Dream Fest? Or how do people get an invite to Dream Fest?
Yeah. Super cool. So Dreamfest firstly is sick. Like this is the third year we've done it. Last year we had James Smith speak at us. So James is huge in the fitness industry. So a lot of your listeners should probably know James, you know, he spoke at it. So it's a, it's a, it used to be a one day event. This year it's gonna be a two day, two day event filled with just insane speakers. We have DJs, we have after pies, we have networking events. It's the, it's the one stop shop for entrepreneurs every single year. So if you're an entrepreneur, a business owner and you're looking to grow your mindset, grow your money, grow your business, grow your wealth, you gotta be a dreamfest. So pretty much I'm just, yeah, I'm bringing Kerwin Ray, number one business strategist in Australia. Daniel G's coming over from America. He's top sales trainer in the world. We got number one sales trainer in Australia, speaking. We've got some absolute female boss CEOs, we've got social media gurus, we're AI experts, we've got wealth and money, finance experts, e commerce experts, you know, personal, we have personal training experts. Like it's, it's just crazy. So if anyone's doing business, want to make more money, want to connect with other like minded people, that's what Dream Fest is for. And I want to make it so enticing for people to get there. So even this year we're making tickets like stupidly cheap. So like if, if you can't afford a ticket then like that's the reason why I need to be there. That's the whole point of it. But how they can get it, like we can give you a link. I don't know when this episode will be released but if they get it at the moment they can join the wait list and everybody on the waitlist is going to get super early bird priced tickets. So we can get that link. They can hit a link below or something like that. Join the link. It's gonna be on the Gold Coast September 6 and 7. Yeah, it's gonna be sick. I'll give you tickets, you have to come along. It's, it's a sick time.
Yeah, I remember seeing it last year. It looked like when James Smith was there. Looked pretty epic like. Yeah, even just, you know, being around that type of environment, as you said, it's gonna elevate you just by being in that kind of hype environment where you're learning so many things. And you know, I remember doing a lot of the Isagenix events. After the event, you're just so pumped to take massive action because you're just surrounded by people that lifting. I think just being in that type of environment, even if it's just once a year to kind of reset and refocus, learn new strategies, is, is massive. Just, just on like strategy. I know you obviously work with a lot of people on like the business strategy type of stuff for personal trainers specifically, like, obviously there's a lot of face to face trainers, but there's also a lot of online trainers that, that listen to this as well. Do you have any tips, I suppose, for, for generating a strategy or a structure for business to be able to scale? Because obviously you, you talk a lot about scaling to, to have you like your dream life or your freedom and that type of stuff. Do you have any, I suppose, tips for that type of stuff?
Yeah, like, everyone needs, you need structure. And I remember my mentor said to me one time, he's like, Morgan, you really want freedom, don't you? And I'm like, yes. And he goes, the problem is in order to have freedom, you need to have structure, you know, because I used to wake up every day going, love, create this dream life. I don't set alarms. Every day is different. If I want to work today, I do. If I don't, I don't. I do whatever I want. And no day was ever planned. And he said, that's the problem, you got no structure. So what would happen was the days I would be working, all I'd want to be doing was taking time off. The days I was off, I'd feel guilty because I wasn't working. So the moment I started to actually just plan my days, like, you know, Jim Rohn says, never start your day until it's finished. So what I would do is every morning I'd, I sit down and I just actually create a plan, you know, and then I'd never start your week until it's finished. So it really started with every single Sunday night I used to sit down, actually plan my week out. What days am I taking off this week? And that was another thing for me. My mentor used to say, he's like, go and take two days off guilt free this week. I'm like, what do you mean a day off? I don't know. What do you, I don't know what you're talking about. Like, I work every day. He's like, that's the problem. You've been working every day. You're not growing your business. So do Something different. Take time off. Started taking time off and started making more money. Like it's crazy how this, you know, energetic flow of business works like that as well. And so I'd sit down on a Sunday and I'd just plan my whole week out. What are they going to be my action days. Like what am I doing each day? You know. And I'd plan the whole sort of week. My fun days, my date nights, my activities, this, this, this, that. And then once it's planned, I follow the plan right? I plan my work and then I work my plan. And this, this was something I've, I've only implemented in the last like probably four years. And it's changed the freaking game on not just my business, my income, but how I live my life. So I, I would just straight up start with like actually having a solid plan. That way you're then responsive in your business, not reactive. Most people wake up and they're like, what am I doing today? Well whoever just messages me, I'm going to do this. There's no real plan, there's no structure in there. So that'd be the first thing. And then I would say is, you know, this thing changed my life. Just really figuring out then how to really execute on the day. So I have this thing called my bam. My bam, my bare ass minimum. And I actually have a planner I can send to you as well and people can get it for free. I, my whole, my whole seven day one sheet planner. How I just, it's my high performance planner. I've gone through so many plans in the past and that like productivity planners and they're like a hundred questions for you to answer each day. I'm like, well dude, it's like a hour of my life to answer these questions. Now I'm overwhelmed. Use all my brain power for the day and I'm done. So in this planner it's about focusing on what's most important for the week. Where are you making, what's gonna be fun this week, what's gonna be, you know. But then I follow my band, my bare ass minimum. So I just write down the three things. What are three things today? If I did just those three things, nothing else today would still be a very successful day. And I just focus on getting those things done first. Now if I get them done by 10 o' clock in the morning and I'm not feeling it today, now I take the rest of my day off and I go do whatever the fuck I feel like, at least that way I still feel Good about myself because I did. What was the minimum? I did the absolute minimum. And what's also interesting is once we put it on the paper and we say this is our minimum, we can get a lot done in a very short amount of time as well. I used to procrastinate. I used to do a lot of small, useful tasks. Right. There's like the 80, 20 rule. 80 of what you do will bring you in 20 of your results. 20 of what you do will bring you 80 of your results. So the band makes me focus on the 20% and that's the main thing. I just focus on how can I move the needle these 20 today. And. And I just, I just keep going.
Yeah, I. I speak very similar about that because I. I talked a lot of pts about growth tasks. So if you want to grow your business, like it only takes you an hour, two hours a week to actually do it, but you know that 5 to 10% of your week is going to actually have the most effect on the business. So, yeah, completely relate. So, yeah, I will definitely post the link to the waitlist. The episode will be released next week, by the way. So.
Yeah, cool. They can jump on the waitlist.
