Microsoft is getting to release its Recall feature, which is a tool that was designed to benefit users, but in fact it has far more value to cyber attackers, cyber criminals, data brokers, and digital extortionists. And that allows the user to kind of turn back time a little bit and see what they were working on previously. The security controls for Recall are less than stellar. In fact, essentially a user just needs the access permissions of the person using the PC to get to those files. Researcher Alexander Hageneth created a tool that showed how those screenshots can be exploited and exposed. Microsoft is unfortunately defending their design and says no, this is okay, the account information and those screenshots are secure. What do you think? Follow for more.
