Most insomnia drugs just knock you out, not restore actual sleep. Your brain still misses the restorative stages it needs. CBD works differently as an adaptogen, helping regulate your natural sleep rhythms instead.

And it turns out that there's a lot of drugs that we give people for sleep that have this dichotomy, and it's a problem. And that is that the drug will make you unconscious, so you believe you're sleeping really well, but it also doesn't put you into the right type of sleep patterns to give you restorative sleep. So drugs are a little tricky in that way where, yes, we can knock you out, but that not being unconscious doesn't always mean good sleep. So CBD for many people really helps with sleep rhythms. And as I said, it's more of like an adaptogen. I think it's very useful in that respect if you want to use it.
