YouTube Q&A by Matt Kelly (the 'Mold Man') addressing whether mold illness can affect the eyes. Kelly says mold exposure can affect vision in a subset of people, lists possible eye symptoms associated with toxic black mold (red eyes, blurry vision, burning, inflammation, light sensitivity, worsening vision), and states that long-term exposure can cause permanent damage but early removal from exposure, detoxification, and nutrient repletion improve chances of recovery. The clip ends with an invitation to book a consultation.

Great question here by Nina about the eyes and the people's vision can absolutely be affected by mold, but thankfully it's not the majority. But there is a decent amount of people whose eyes are affected. And does it cause any permanent damage that could lead to an enlarged optic nerve and glaucoma? So can it lead to permanent damage? It can if left long enough. But the earlier you catch it, the earlier you find out about your mold exposure and toxicity. Get out of the mold, start detoxing the body. The more chance you have for the body to build back those cells to lower the inflammation that's causing that. Right. So there's so many layers to mold illness, as I'm sure you know. But it's not just you have to have clean air, but it's not just clean air because you got to get the toxins and the fungal colonization out of the body. But it doesn't just end there either, because mold and mycotoxins, the stress it puts on the body, we burn through so many of our nutrients, our minerals, our vitamins. And for the body to rebuild, we need to get those back up to where they need to be. Okay, but to back up to your question, I'm just reading a list here. Symptoms of eye disorders from toxic black mold can include red eyes, blurry vision, burning sensation in the eyes, eye damage, eye inflammation, light sensitivity, worsening vision or vision problems. It says jaundice, but normally that's a liver problem. But. And this is a link on mold badger. So I'm going to put this link because it goes into a lot of detail, which I can't regurgitate all here. So I'm going to put this link because it looks like a really good article that covers a lot of things with this post and you take a look at that. But yes, it absolutely affects vision. It can cause permanent damage. But the good news is the earlier you catch it and start treating and giving your body back the nutrients it's missing and needs to rebuild, then you're going to be able to start backing that off some. And if it hasn't been too long and it's not too chronic, I'd have full expectation that you'd be able to help restore that. So I hope that helps.
